My dad's friends have been sending us a billion, like "For all who love dogs-hahaha" and "Kids explaining the Bible - too funny"!
But there was this one sent that made me cry.
And I felt stupid. But some of them were so sad.
Yesterday was a little bit sad for my grandpa.
Well, not a little bit.
His sister died, and he had to spend most of the day like it didn't bother him, being the host.
And he'd been expecting it.
But something like that would still ruin your day.
Or week.
It was a great picnic, though. Usually I hate the Fourth of July, but I actually enjoyed myself this year.
The ice cream took forever to make, but it was delicious, as usual.
The blackbottom cupcakes were delicious. Nathan tried to steal the one Grandma was saving. But he failed.
I ate an entire bar of Hershey's, but it was disappointing. Kind of dry. Disgusting.
There was some random guy I'm almost positive I'm not related to.
Funny how hormones work.
You see someone you like and decide to be on your "best behavior". From that moment on, you make a complete fool of yourself.
Other times, when you don't like anyone and you're just being yourself, you unknowingly attract someone else.
Weird. No one really wins.

"Keep sucking on that Twinkie, fatty." "It's a Ho-ho."
Yeah, sadly, nothing much has happened since Friday. Randy Pausch died, though, which made me incredibly sad because I didn't know. He's the kind of person that makes everyone else look awful. Not in bad way. That's actually a terrible thing to say. He was just a really great guy. I watched the special about him on ABC and only cried when his oldest son said that no problem is impossible to solve, because that's both true and untrue in the case of his dad.
Agh, "Rent" sort of changed my life. I watched a 90-minute documentary about Jonathan Larson (who died not of AIDs, as I was first told, but from an aortic aneurysm) and the writing of "Rent".
I think I like the new cast better than the original theater cast. Hate to be agist, but Fredi Walker did seem too old. Rosario Dawson and Daphne Rubin-Vega were both good Mimis, but Rosario Dawson and Adam Pascal had better chemistry.
Agh, "Musetta's Waltz" in my head.
MIMI!!!!
I had a physical on Monday, and my mom and I sort of despise the nurse practitioner, because she's a judgemental hypocrite, and she tried to put me on birth control.
???????
Me?
???????
If I have "trouble" during my menstrual cycle, like mood swings, cramps, or heavy flow, I need to go on the pill.
???????
???????
Doesn't EVERYONE have those kinds of problems???
"The Baby Borrowers" season finale was totally anti-climactic.
They did well with the elderly, and some of the old guys had been married for 67 years!!!
But then, at the end of the experiment, NONE of the couples remained together.
:(
Ooooh...I really thought some of them would be together forever.
And, no, I don't hold the creepy and unrealistic expectation that all high-school couples should only date if they intend to get married, but if you're out of high-school and you're still together...?
I don't know, even though it's probably never going to go anywhere, you still probably want the relationship to last forever.
Like that Chicago song.
At least Kelly and Austin broke up, finally.

Champions and chumpions (and the lies of Disney)
A LOOOOT has happened since Monday, but I have to get all the stupid "Camp Rock" stuff out of my system.
Agh, what a letdown. Seriously, there was so much hype. "Demi Levato is a superstar!" "The Jonas Brothers rule!" "This is the next High School Musical!!!"
Not quite.
"High School Musical" was *ahem* a musical (hence the name). "Camp Rock" is about a large freakish group of musicians that assemble at a Canadian camp, so there was definitely music involved, but not a lot of big song and dance numbers, and none of the songs were really memorable or special. It was just generic Disney crap.
Demi Levato DOES have a great voice, but she didn't do a lot of singing. She had 2 or 3 songs max, and they were short. Also, none of the other characters were all that good. More generic Disney crap, a few Cheetah Girls clones, some uber-stereotyped black and Mexican kids, etc.
Sadly, Joe Jonas was probably the best actor in the entire movie, but that's not saying too much.
I'm not saying the movie wasn't totally enjoyable (for the most part, anyway). It was just a little disappointing.
There were some totally amazing lines, though. Kevin's character cracked me up.
"Which color?" "Those are exactly the same." "So you see my dilemma!!!"
"I wanted a birdhouse so more birds would come..." (you'd have to be there)
"It's the silver rule. Okay, the copper rule." (Okay, again.)
"I was just, you know... MMM, toast."
Awww, my favorite song was probably the stupid finale one. I feel so LAME.
On other non-"Camp Rock" news:
GRADUATION!!!!! It was scary, because I was one of the MCs and I messed up a lot, but the principal said I did great. Sure. It's all right if you're lying. Graduating itself was so weird, because I'm SO not ready to go up to the high school, but it was also like, "Finally, school's over." But only partly. I got a couple awards, but the only one I was really surprised by was the "Outstanding Service" award. Yay, I put my name on a plaque! I don't get to KEEP it, but whatever, it's in the school.
Argh, do NOT want to go to the high school next year. Me and a bunch of my friends auditioned for Wind Ensemble on Tuesday and only two people made it. I wasn't one of them. It kind of made me feel like crap, because I know it wasn't personal, but the guy who DID make it in my place has been playing trombone for 2 years, and if I've been playing for 5 and he's better than me, how much do I suck?? I guess I've always been really cocky about my playing ability, but it turns out I was totally wrong.
So that kind of sucked.
But then I went to Alexis' youth group w/ Alexis, Daniel, and Jessica, and Daniel ripped his hand open; Alexis, Jessica, and I called our team "The Poofters" (for all you Kiwis); and then we watched "Charlie and Candy Mountain" AND the sequel about the Banana King.
Yeaaaah, at my grandma's AGAIN. High speed!! Woooh!!! We're just hanging out and partying (although my grandparents are in bed). There is an abundance of brownies. Their neighbor tried to bring over 3 pans of pudding filled double chocolate brownies.
I love that man.

Welcome high-paying party of 16!!
My grandparents have been married 56 years. That's a crazy long time. So the family all went down (up?) to Ocean Shores to celebrate monogamy. The ocean was sort of overrated, because there was all this silt and pollution in it, so it was brown and disgusting-looking. The hotel room was nice, though. Cable is pretty awesome.
You know how they're always advertising Ocean Shores on the radio with the sounds of couples joyfully galloping on horseback through the waves?
That's so not what happens.
They let you ride by yourself, no lead rope, if you're over the age of 7, but you never even go near the water and the fastest you can go is a lovely walk.
I haven't ridden for 2 years, but I did hecka better than the kid next to me who practically cried every time his horse broke into a trot.
It was fun, though.
Seven Places!!
Entemann's toffee is pretty fantastic.
"M or F?" is a hilarious book.
"A Winter's Night Dream"...not so much. All this talk about "being in love" and no mention of Shakespeare.
More toffee!!
Wow, can I say I'm so glad it's Spring Break? No school tomorrow...or the next day...or the next day. And we might go dress shopping!!

Texan collies galore!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH let me just say that I have pretty much the best white elephant gift ever. Okay, not the best, not by a long shot. It is, however, a lot better than the ones I thought up at the last minute from years past. This one required effort...but it was free, heh.
I love this hat. My grandma got it for me, and I kind of haven't worn it since then, but I'm wearing it now and it's really comfortable and not ugly.
What, I'm good at science now??
Brendan practically broke my hand.
Too much light! Too much light!!
Yeah. So I'm good at science now??
AND MATH??? It's kind of confusing/challenging, but at least I'm understanding it and learning. Quiz tomorrow.
:P I reread "The Road to Balinor" and I never liked that book to begin with, but I didn't think it could get any worse. Arianna = way annoying. And Chase is super narcissistic. The only characters I like are the "mean" ones, or the "rude" ones: Lori, Tobiano (lol, super obvious name), and Lincoln.
Sims 2 is pretty cool still. Now I'm down to 2 hours. Progress.... The Antoinettes have another baby, and the dad is the only one in prime physical condition. He's pretty ripped.
I'm actually supposed to be doing something else right now. But that's always the best time to go online.
I have to admit, Laurie Halse Anderson is a good writer. Well, duh, seeing as she won like a million awards for "Speak", but I never liked her books before, but now I kind of enjoy them. "Catalyst" is my favorite so far; "Prom" sucked.
I think "climax" is my least favorite word now. I've heard it used sexually too many times now. Oh well. This year is finally coming to a climax (thank you God), as are other events. As much as I love the Christmas, I'd rather it was over and done with.

Werewolfeh.
I wonder if it's too late to drop out of going to Creation. All the odds are against me. I mean,
1. It's going to be HOT. Like WAY HOT. Not humid, according to my WA ST Hist text, but HOT.
2. There are only a few bands I like now. Either I've never heard of some or I've started hating others because they went all MAINSTREAM and crap. *cough cough* RELIENT K! *cough cough*
3. Nothing to do. Okay, I guess the whole point is just going to concerts, but what if I don't want to see Newsboys, Delirious?, etc.
4. Camping? Um, no.
5. It's nearing the full moon and my werewolfish tendencies are going to show, meaning I'll probably just bite everyone's head off, figuratively and literally.
6. Camping involves food-over-the-fire kind of stuff.
Looking at all this, I'd love to stay at my Grandma's. Or at home with Luke. Summer school sounds SO GREAT right now.
But no. I guess it's too late now.
Why do my parents always have to be right about everything???
Things My Parents Were Right About, Unfortunately
1. If I'm in a bad mood, I'm probably really hungry or tired. Forget PMS, you need food.
2. Teenagers shouldn't date until 16 because the emotions run too high before then.
3. Couples with a 1 year+ age difference are bad (I still disagree with this one, but there have been times where they have been right).
4. (This was when I wanted to go to Creation, back when all my favorite bands were cool): "You'll hate it, because it's so hot, and you have to get up early, and shower, and camp..."
So basically my parents are right about everything.
But not about nose rings.
I am totally getting one if I manage to weasel out of this.

FAILURE
AAAAAAAAAAGH I'M A FAILURE!
I tried to write a trail journal and it really sucked. Maybe because Amy Lee did end up coming.
Duck: I broke my leg.
Amber: How did that happen?
Emily: Seriously.
Murtagh: *staring moodily off into space*
Amy Lee: HOOOOOOOOOO CAAAAN YOU SEEEEEEEE INTO MY EYES LIKE OPEN DOOOOOOORS?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH it was horrible.
I deleted it.
SO ASHAMED.
And I created this intricate dice rolling process to calculate events along the way, but then both Emily and I broke our legs, then Emily drowned, and Amy Lee kept getting lost, so it didn't really work.
It would be so much easier if I had Oregon Trail.
Don't give up, it's not the end. According to Stellar Kart.
SOMEONE LOVES YOU, EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T THINK SO, DON'T YOU KNOW, YOU GOT ME AND JESUS.
I'm still sick.
And Quizilla ain't workin properly.
I wanna make cookies really bad.
BUT NO. Not until FRIDAY, because we're having our family reunion picnic on Saturday, the 30th (no clue why), and I could bring them as a dessert.
We better leave earlier than 1:00 this year, because last year I got too late to help with making ice cream, and my grandpa let my 8th cousin 4 times removed or whatever make it and then she was all licking the spoon and I wanted to slap her.
I think her sandals got washed away by the tide. Hahahaha.

Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money
Money...yes. Cars...NOOOO.
I swear, I switch moods more than Britney switches boyfriends. Emo, normal, emo, normal, emo, normal, crazy, emo.
Just sitting here...at my grandma's...trying to see if I can watch videos on Youtube. Although she just showed me her new internet problem, so I don't think it will work. Graaaaagh.
Dodoledodoledo.
I did watch "Call me when you're sober" on Friday night. Shocker, Friday night, I actually had somewhere to go. :O But it wasn't that good. Just really weird. And Amy Lee floated up to the ceiling. And the guy in it WASN'T THAT HOT. All I've heard is that there's some carazy hot guy in that video and he looked like Hugh Jackman. Not a bad thing, I just don't get heart palpitations thinking about Wolverine.
*sigh*
"Bring me to Life" was kind of weird. 12 Stones lead singer was in it? And while she's dangling off the side of a building, 12 Stones man has ALMOST pulled her up, then he let's go.
RANDOM.
I had nursery today at church. GRAAAH those little kids are funny. I only had two this time, but Matthew was making the horses fly and slipping with his slippery feet. He's so adorable. And then Jada kept telling me stuff, and I wouldn't understand at first, so I'd be like, "Oooh, really?" "Yeaaaaaah." And she'd say yeaaaah to pretty much anything unless you were offering her an Elmo ball or a freaky looking caterpillar or the oppurtunity to leave the table. She's only 1.5 and her favorite color is blue. Awwww, how precious.
Michael Scott: There. THat's a good name. Littlekidlover.
AAAAAAAAGH, Michael, I feel so BAD around you.
Not FOR you. AROUND you.
I actually like these rubber bands now. THe tighter the better.
Unless I really REALLY wanna eat brownies and I can't because I can't open my mouth.
