Drastic measures have been taken

Yeaaaaah, I cut 6 inches of hair off.
Or HAD 6 inches cut off. Like I did it myself.
And there are layer-y bits in it and stuff.
It's actually pretty cute.
Just...shorter than normal.
But yeah, it's cute.
My mom got bangs, because she had to abide by our agreement.
Hmmm, why am I suspicious?
CORN???

You Are a Corn Muffin

Even though you've been accused of being otherwise, you're a simple, uncomplicated person.

You just want the same things everyone else wants. You're just happier with what you already have.

You are confident and strong minded. You are proud of who you are.

You enjoy being recognized for your accomplishments, and you like to be the center of attention.

Sometimes your ego can get the best of you. You do tend to outshine people.

It's hard for you not to have a big head - very few people have it as good as you do.

It seems like I've been wrong about people a lot lately.
It's pretty humbling.
Friendship is complicated.
And assumptions are being made.
To a friend:
I know I assumed things that were stupid of me to assume, when your implications implied no such thing, and that I also imply things that you assume untruths about, but don't assume you have no chance when really you have all the the chance, you just assume I've implicated you don't.

The Epic of Gilgamesh

Ooooooooooh. I know I failed that history test. I don't think anybody studied, or even read the chapter.
At least Mr. Hurd gave us freebies.
Tyler looks surprisingly good with his head shaved. And the seedlings are really soft.
It's kind of like he's always had a shaved head.
Though he does sort of look like a skinhead.
Ugh, people who think they're utterly superior bug me.
I guess that's why I won't be going to UW.
It's just annoying when my friends start acting that way.
And I know I act that way about some things.
I just never knew how annoying it could be.
Youth group SUCKS. It's like everytime I go is some new drama.
So I'm minding my own business and I get hit in the face with a ball, hitting me square in the nose and popping both lenses out of my glasses.
Nice, guys. Real nice.
So I start crying and Sierra had to fix my glasses and some guy (whose name I never learned) got me some ice.
That set the stage for a wonderful evening.
And my nose still hurts. At first, my mom told me it wasn't broken, but now she's saying it might be.
Ugh. All I know is it's even larger than normal.
My dad was listening to a pastor on the radio talk about homosexuality, and he supposedly "drove his point home" by stating, "Homosexuality was a non-issue until the Bible came out."
And that was supposedly a REALLY good point that showed how wrong homosexuality really is.
?????
Seriously?? If I were a non-Christian, that would just convince me that the Bible is stupid and homophobic and God is screwed up.
I think my dad wants grandchildren. He snatches up every baby he sees.
Well, no, he doesn't, because that would be weird.
But when there's a baby at our house, he's like, "Baby! *scoop*" and holds it for 12 hours.
Matt was pregnant, but he gave birth and someone stepped on the baby. OUR baby.
Then he kept sucking on that stupid smoothie.
"Can I have some brown sugar Pop Tarts?"
"Cherry?"
"You're going to ruin your life! RUIN IT!"

They didn't hire her for her brains

Woooooo homosexuals!!
So far only one person likes my "Rent" idea, but that person is ordering the movie on Netflix.
Don't you hate it when you say something that you don't mean in a bad way and someone takes GREAT offense and shoots you a very nasty glare?
Or when you try to do something you should already know how to do but you're too scared to do it because of urban legends and stuff your mom told you?
It was a weird Thursday.
I decided to switch out of French II and into French III and IV.
This made some people kind of mad, but for the most part they're okay with it.
But the schedule change won't happen until the transfer gets approved or something like that.
In advisory, they made us take a quiz about LEARNING STYLES!! YAAAAY, that's one way to make the time more enjoyable. I'm auditory and Alexis is a visual-tactile/kinesthetic crossbreed.
Then they gave us a sheet of paper with random things on it like "Parent on ship/deployed" and "Self-esteem", and we were supposed to circle whatever we thought was important.
Juan and I circled "Pregnancy/Parenting", because that's important.
Then they asked questions like, "What is the biggest problem facing your school?"
....Marijuana?
Tyler's going to shave his head. :(
There goes all his beautiful Davy Havock hair.
Now he'll have nothing but seedlings for months.
Or maybe he'll get addicted to it like Nathan and shave his head every month.
"Top Model" is so shallow and mysoginistic.
AKA best show ever.
That Samantha girl is so annoying. I desperately wanted her to be kicked off, but she got picture of the week.
Marjorie is sort of emo, but Samantha acted like being the least bit nervous or self-deprecating was a crime against human kind.
Ugh, Tyra is such an idiot. Seriously, she is genuinely stupid.
TV was ruined the minute they gave Tyra her own show.
Our band arrangement of "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" sounds nothing like the actual song.

Crazy things that Tyler has done

Because he's so narcissistic.
Tony asked me a very good question the other day: if guys think lesbians are hot, do girls think that about gay guys?
The answer: A resounding NO.
And it has nothing to do with homophobia or anything like that.
We just...don't find gay guys that attractive.
Or at least gay guys together. There are definitely some cute gay guys.
And girls don't have the same one-track mind as guys.
YAY, someone replied to my "Rent" idea!!!
At least one person cares.
AAAAAH Maricel took this cool personality test, and then let me and Tyler take it, and it's pretty dang accurate. Maricel is white (the peacemaker), I'm blue (forgot what that stands for), and Tyler is red (the power builder).
And it's on the internet!! Too cool.
Blue blue blue blue blue.

What Your Burger Says About You

You are very gluttonous. Even if you're full, you'll still clear your plate.

You are likely a fairly picky eater. And you're secretly a little squeamish about some foods.

You are bold and resolute in your choices. You don't back down, and you aren't afraid to go at something full force.

You have trouble making decisions quickly. Everything looks good to you... especially at a restaurant.

You are creative, open minded, and friendly. You are interested in all types of food and new dishes.

Wow today is super accurate quiz today.
Mr. Anspach came up to me with an interesting proposition: would I like to switch around my 4th and 5th period in order to be in French 3 and 4?
I almost said 'yes' immediately, but that would mean switching out of 5th period Biology, which I really enjoy.
I'd also have to switch to 2nd lunch and then I'd never see Janessa, Matt, Kay, or Klinker.
Ooooh. What a conundrum.

Your Hair Should Be Brown

You are an intelligent, well respected person.

You are very confident. You take yourself seriously, and other people take you seriously too.

You are a good leader, and you can be trusted with someone's life.

You motivate people well, and you command respect easily.

You are competent, successful, and organized. You can't stand chaos.

Some people mistake you for being cold, calculating, or elitist.

888...the number of the beast?

Ha, Iron Maiden is too cool.
Yeah, today is 8/8/08 and I'm freaking out right now.
Cuz that's pretty cool.
If you're a nerd like me.
Here I sit, sporting my brand new WSU T-shirt. It looks pretty sweet, if I do say so myself.
Tie is almost back to normal, I think. She's still depressed and itchy (probably because she misses Nathan; she did pee on his bed), but she went on two walks and played tug-of-war for about 2 seconds before the next mood swing hit.
*shakes head* Girls.
Iliza Schlesinger won "Last Comic Standing"!!! Wow, who knew? It was between her and Marcus, and she pulled it off. And she's the first woman to win...EVER.
Last night's finale was sort of lame, though. They had Jon Reep, John Lovitz, and some guy off E! perform. Jon Reep was funny, as always. I still love it when he says "Hickory".
But Bill Belamy and Fearne Cotton didn't really have anything to do, so they compromised by telling stupid jokes (Bill), making loud screeching noises (Bill), forcing laughter at all the comics' jokes (Fearne), making weird hand gestures (also Fearne), and looking awkward (again, Fearne).
GROSS, I looked in the mirror without my retainers on and I looked like Demi Lovato!!
No, that's not a good thing!!
But when I showed off my hideous new teeth and turned my head to the side, I WAS Demi Lovato!
Only, you know, taller and myopic.
We even have the same really large cleft chin and bangs!
WHAT IS GOING ON????
It kind of screwed up my entire day.
Because I went through 6 years of dental torture so they could make me look like Demi Lovato.
So no, Mom, I don't think this stupid braces business was worth it AT ALL.
I have half a mind NOT to wear these stupid retainers.
But, of course, I only have half a mind.

Which tastes better, the bunny or the egg?

Personally, I say bunny.
Hey, this is my 800th post.
Inventory: two chocolate-covered marshmallow bunnies, two fudge-filled bunnies, a 30% cacao Lindt bunny, a Russel Stover solid white chocolate bunny, two Almond Joy Eggs.
The Lindt bunny was probably the best thing I've ever tasted. Mmmm.
I love Macy's. I got this shirt dressy top and it doesn't look half bad.
Yay, now that I have bangs, the blonde streak is gone! Well, mostly gone. Sort of gone.
The service was really good today. Short, though. :O What a concept. Two girls danced to a song Heidi wrote. The baby in the front row with her fist in her mouth was a little distracting, among other things, but in a good way.
Just finished volume 1 in the Faith Thomas series by Stephanie Perry Moore, and it's really good!! It was a little corny in places, but most of the time it was like, wow! Christian fiction that's realistic with relatable characters that LIKE BOYS!!! "Hello, my name is Trevor Fish. Would you like to dance?" Only how did Joy do a complete 180 and suddenly become a lovely person to be around?
The model for that book has to be way older than 14. At first I thought Faith Thomas was a real person.

Chocolate cake implies eating disorder.

My father is under the impression that he's driven me to anorexia.
Yesterday was Good Friday, and I got to play trombone in this orchestra, which was pretty amazing, so after both services, the entire worship team went to the Family Pancake House. Everyone ordered pancakes or some time of breakfast food except me, who went for chocolate thunder cake instead.
My dad felt REALLY guilty, because William said he was still hungry afterwards, so he assumed I must have been starving myself because I hadn't known ordering breakfast food was an option.
Don't worry, Dad, I knew breakfast food was an option, but why would I order french toast when I could order CHOCOLATE CAKE with CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CHEESECAKE and a GIANT CHOCOLATE ROSETTE ON THE SIDE. But it was fun. And I don't have an eating disorder.
OMG, I BOUGHT "THE FINAL WARNING". Haven't started it, though. I'm too scared that it will disappoint.
Sims 2: Free Time looks kind of amazingly complicated, but FUN! The Sim's area of interest affects their personality and mannerisms.
So I've been parting my hair on the right side, lately, and it looks better than parting it in the middle, where I looked like Sirius Black, but people were telling me to get bangs, so....
...I got bangs today.
And they don't look terrible. They're actually kind of nice.
EXCEPT they don't fit behind my ear and sometimes they poke me in the eye.
Cleaned the entire house. Made a rainbow chip cake. Ate a truffle egg. All set for Easter.
Thursday was so tiring. Contest was pretty cool, we got straight 2's, which is better than 3's or 4's (or 5's). Mr. Faxon got mad at us because we didn't want to sit and watch marginally acceptable junior high and middle school bands play boring music for an hour and a half. Poulsbo Middle School did superbly, but their clinic was SO BORING and the man wouldn't let us LEAVE.
I don't care if he got mad. Hungry teenagers don't want to listen to boring men talk about dynamics and tone quality.
And yeah, we could have LEARNED something, but we'd already listened to like 4 other bands. I'm sure we learned enough from those clinics.
Central Market = amazing.
OMG, WE BEAT OAKLAND BAY!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so great!!!! I can't exactly say nice things about the refs, but we played SO GOOD and beat #1'S BUTT!!! BOOOO!!! I almost punched her in the face. I hate that girl. But I didn't foul her (though everyone else did. :P)

No, please, go on. I find your tale absolutely enthralling.

Agh, "American Idol". I want all of Danny Noriega's clothes.
We lost our basketball game, and I only played 39 seconds, but it was a really good game, and we kept up with the best team in the league.
I'm parting my hair on the side more often. People tell me I actually look like a girl now.
There was this thing at the high school to welcome next year's sophomores and drone endlessly about the many WONDERFUL extracurriculars and classes that are available. Too bad I've already heard everything about credits and the WASL and 0 period a million times. But my counselor is nice. I'm not going to have that many friends in my classes next year, but oh well. High school is kind of going to suck with less required classes.
Nathan's a junior now!!!! AP-classes count for something. Hm... I think this means I should take AP English.
SO I SAYS TO HIM, "THAT'S NO LOLRUS, THAT'S MY WIFE!!"
Ha, Jason Castro sang the Shrek song. That's officially my new favorite song.
I wish I had been able to come home and REEELAX today. But I've spent most of my time at various schools today. Oh well.

If this is about those sandwiches....

I just finished "Prophecy of the Stones" for the millionth time, which was my favorite book in 6th and 7th grade, but I don't know, it seems different now. Like I used to hate Jade, but rereading it she's mean but really hilarious. Ugh, the character that really annoyed me was the Amber girl. I think that was the author's favorite character, because whereever she went people would fall down and practically worship her. It was way stupid and then there were like 5 million descriptions of how she was so sensitive, but then whenever she had to help her friends she'd chicken out and run away. They also made a big deal about Opal being "silent", but they cut her out of a lot of the dialogue and killed her off so as not to give her a very big role in the plot. :P Lol, Adrien cracked me up, tho. He gave this moving little speech. There was another thing that bothered me about that book but I'm not going to mention it so as not to seem hypocritical.
Do do do do do. Mr. Faxon was planning changes to "Largo" alone in the night with a muffin as his only companion. Yes.
In the afternoon at 3 o'clock, the retriever trotted like a pony among the trees in the woods behind the house.
These are the kinds of things we come up with in Pre-AP English.
In math, we had to watch a movie. It was very disturbing. The old man was everywhere: Waterloo, India, Britian, the states, Poland....
Tyler cut his hair, lol. It is no longer long and flowing, but it looks really good. He kind of looks like he belongs to a gang, but that could be considered a good thing. Yay for the 90's!!
Agh I do not want to MC, but I supposed I must MC.
YES I got a B on my science test. I think.... Maybe a B-. BUT AT LEAST I PASSED!! :P Drake got a 70/70. That is so lame. But I got full credit on the question about force=weight and the acceleration of gravity. Acceleration of gravity = 10 ms^2. That's right.
Hm hm hm I guess I'm going shopping with my mom, but I really want to get my holds from the library. Once I get them, I will have (hopefully) 2 Avalons, 1 Unicorns of Balinor, and 2 of those horrible horse books where the girl has to give away all of her horses.

Woman power!!!

I am never watching movies with my brothers again.
I think I just suck at picking them out, though. Movies, not...yeah.
So we decided to have a little bonding sleepover. Yeah. Cuz we're nerds. So we rented movies to celebrate the occasion; "Hairspray", "UHF", and "Robin Hood: Men In Tights".
"Hairspray" was good a second time around, but I still think the second half is way flat, and the ending was way too long. But the music was great, and I'm in love with the soundtrack.
Aaaaaagh, "UHF" with Weird Al Yankovic when he still had a Jew-fro! (not racist...) I don't know if it was the best movie I've ever seen or the worst movie I've ever seen. He daydreamed that he was Rambo...but he made a sandwhich out of a Twinkie, a hot dog, and Cheez Wiz. And there was this guy Bob who had the ugliest hair I think I've ever seen. It was way random and Michael Richards played a really freaking annoying janitor/TV host.
Man, Cary Elwes sucks. Since the movie was by Mel Brooks, I was expecting something really good. Hello, "Spaceballs"? Guess not. It was just really dumb and not funny and Cary Elwes can't act. Dave Chappelle was in it, though, and he's pretty funny. He was the only thing that made it worth it. Other than that, :P.
Yay I saw "Enchanted", though. THAT was pretty AMAZING. It was everything my life probably should have been. Except James Marsden REALLY creeped me out and the evil henchman was played by the Peter Pettigrew guy. Yeah, the giant balding rat, only in this movie he had long luxurious hair. Amy Adams is my new best friend, and it was nice to see Patrick Dempsey playing something other than a manslut. Awwww it was just so adorable and amazing. It was kind of weird, I saw Alicia in the bathroom afterwards, but it was pretty cool talking to her after like....a long time???
Popcorn was good, too.
I love Atreyu so much. "When Two Become One" = my new favorite song.
Except there's this song I keep hearing on the radio that's like the hardcore version of "Lose Yourself". Aaaagh AND THEY WON'T TELL ME THE NAME!!
Why does "Alvin and the Chipmunks" look like a good movie?
