Mmmm, fudge sounds goooooood.
I took my driver's test today...aaaaaaaand it didn't go so well.
It wasn't even like, "Oh, you missed it by this much!" I failed miserably.
And I knew it.
First thing on the test: PARALLEL PARKING.
I'd had five people tell me it wouldn't be on the test, but I guess I didn't read the pamphlet thoroughly enough, because I had to do it.
That was the first thing I did wrong.
I hit a cone, then tried to pull into the parking spot, but ended up parking NEXT to the spot.
I was completely parallel, too. How did that happen?
So I tried again.
Another epic failure.
My driving instructor, a really nice Guamanean lady, sighed and wearily asked me to re-enter traffic.
Which I did.
For the rest of the test I did fine. I'm a good driver.
Sort of.
Then I had to back around a corner.
I thought I understood her instructions, but apparently I wasn't listening hard enough or my brain malfunctioned, because an instant after she said them I forgot. I started turning my wheels every which way, bumping into the curb, ramming into brick walls, and asking, "Wait, you want me to turn into the driveway? Straight line into the driveway? Oh, turn RIGHT!" So I turned my car left.
She sighed again and asked me to re-enter traffic without killing anybody, which I managed to do.
The atmosphere of the car wasn't a hopeful one. A dark cloud hung over the Le Sabre and her body language boded ill.
But she was really nice about it.
Ed would have berated me and explained every little thing I did wrong and what a bad driver I was, compared to him and every other teenager out there.
Actually, that's kind of what she did.
But the WAY she did it wasn't as mean.
So she left and my dad came back and I had another big fight with him (we'd had one coming into the parking lot, when he decided constructive criticism was the best way to go - right before my test!!!).
He wanted me to go inside the DOL and renew my permit.
At this point, after *cough cough* bravely listening to my instructor tell me just how badly I failed, I couldn't take it anymore was bawling like a baby.
And my dad expected me to go inside, red-eyed and tear-stained, to smile for my permit picture.
That didn't go over well.
So he yelled a lot and I cried and might have cussed him out.
Correction: I did cuss him out.
Which he let go. I was a little surprised. I've never been grounded, but for what I said, I probably should have been.
It was bad.
But my mom bought me flavored Tootsie rolls and let me chill out and get away from people for a little while.
So Tie and I went on a long walk.
We were greatly cheered by cheery mechanics, cute old people, and skeevy old bikers.
The Lance Armstrong kind, not the tough leather-clad variety.
This one rode by me at least 5 times.
The last time he called out, "Good morning," and smirked heartily.
It cracked me up, but I couldn't figure out his motives.
Was he checking me out (unlikely) or trying to prove that he was so much faster than A GIRL WALKING HER DOG?
Congratulations! You can bike 2 miles faster than I can walk them! Good for you! By the way, I'M 16!!!!
He was at least 30.
Maybe even 40.
Ew.

Cheesy e-mail forwards gone wrong
My dad's friends have been sending us a billion, like "For all who love dogs-hahaha" and "Kids explaining the Bible - too funny"!
But there was this one sent that made me cry.
And I felt stupid. But some of them were so sad.
Yesterday was a little bit sad for my grandpa.
Well, not a little bit.
His sister died, and he had to spend most of the day like it didn't bother him, being the host.
And he'd been expecting it.
But something like that would still ruin your day.
Or week.
It was a great picnic, though. Usually I hate the Fourth of July, but I actually enjoyed myself this year.
The ice cream took forever to make, but it was delicious, as usual.
The blackbottom cupcakes were delicious. Nathan tried to steal the one Grandma was saving. But he failed.
I ate an entire bar of Hershey's, but it was disappointing. Kind of dry. Disgusting.
There was some random guy I'm almost positive I'm not related to.
Funny how hormones work.
You see someone you like and decide to be on your "best behavior". From that moment on, you make a complete fool of yourself.
Other times, when you don't like anyone and you're just being yourself, you unknowingly attract someone else.
Weird. No one really wins.

She loves you, and you know that can't be bad
She loves you, and you know you should be glad, OOOOOOOO.
Michael Moscovitz looks much better after a little plastic surgery, thanks for asking.
Argh, Stateside.
It started off as my friends pressuring me to go.
Then Janine got in on it.
Then God went, "Surprise. Guess who's side I'm on?"
But you can't argue with him.
So I started filling out the application, and realized that I really do want to go.
Not just because Sierra's going, and not just because it will be the last time I see Kristine, but because I finally realized I can't be closed off forever and that I need more friends, since Kristine is leaving and that's what the body of Christ is about anyway.
And I've never been on a missions trip and this will be a cool experience.
My parents are all for it, and are ready to back me up financially. It was pretty cool last night, because I was worried about money and different factors regarding the trip, and my empathetic Thinker mom explained to me why they were supporting me while my Feeler dad sat on the floor just listening and pretending he needed tissues for his allergies.
But filling out the application was still pretty scary, because I realized if I'm completely honest, they might not let me go. Up until this point (okay, it still continues to this day), I've had sort of a bad attitude regarding the youth group and I know Ben has picked up on that, so when he reads parts of my application (there were questions like, "Why do you come to Primetime?" and "Do you have any personal problems with anyone in the Youth Group?" that gave me pause), he might interpret it negatively.
Which scares the crap out of me.
But I've been praying about it since last night and worst case scenario is can't go: there's always next year, and now I know what I need to work on.
Phew.

Takes one to know one, sassypants!
*gasp* Juice!
It was Emma's birthday today...but she had to fast, because she's Catholic!!
Ooooh...THAT'S AWFUL!
We were discussing the passage of the Bible where Peter dreams of all the "unclean" animals.
But they're not unclean.
It's okay to eat pork!!
Really, it's not a big deal!
We don't need to keep Kosher anymore!
Well, I never had to, but still!!
Mmmm, Thin Mints.
Keisha and I are a great team.
Tyler and I are cousins.
The band kids have their own favorite movie.
"I'm the melody." "No, I'M the melody." "I'M the melody!" "I'M the melody!"
Helloooo, Spartacus.
That Adam Lambert.
The Sims have drawn me back in.
Paul's a cat person.
This can't work.
"Stop trying to kill my mate."

Singles Awareness Day: Why meet people when you can mope?
I didn't mope. Much. Valentine's Day was all right.
And there was MUCH chocolate.
My dad got these Black Forest Truffle squares, I decorated a pink-frosted chocolate cake, we bought Ovaltine powder from Fred Meyer...(mmmmm....XP)...good times.
I'm listening to "Happiness Is A Warm Gun", and it got to the part where Joe Anderson is administered Naked Girl drugs by Salma Hayek...and I have nothing deep to say about that. I was just thinking about it, and how high he manages to sing. Good song.
I'm a Beatles convert. My dad got two giant Beatles anthologies from us for his birthday and they have EVERYTHING: "She Loves You", "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da", "The Ballad of John and Yoko", "Get Back", "Hey Jude"...and it's all great.
So, yeah, "Magical Mystery Tour" still sucks, but their hundreds of other songs are pretty fantastic.
And it's fun to listen to stuff like "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and go, "MAX! LUCY! ACROSS THE UNIVERSE!! NOOOOOOO WAY! SHE CAME IN THROUGH THE BATHROOM WINDOW!"
Gabrielle Zevin is so wonderful. She's so clever and funny and I love how she writes.
Michele Jaffe is a riot. I got first pick from the new stuff in the Teen Section at the library and SCORE! "Kitty Kitty" AND the next book in the Echo Falls series!!!! YESSSS!
Just...everything.
"The Jane Austen Book Club" wasn't that great a book. Maybe I just don't appreciate it enough, but I loved the movie and felt way more for it than I could ever feel for the book, which was sort of confusing and boring and had nothing to do with anything.
Awesome.

Flu-like syptoms may occur.
February decided to screw with us and dump a load of snow on the ground, yet, somehow, our school was the ONLY one not to have a 2 hours late.
But that doesn't really matter seeing as I didn't go to school today.
Woohoo, the flu has struck!!
And it sucks.
But I didn't throw up this time, which was a plus.
Not even chicken and milkshakes.
And it gave me time to catch up on "All My Children".
It's pretty sad, because I haven't watched it in months, but I caught on pretty fast.
Except Babe is dead? And I've been watching this soap since seventh grade, and David and Krystal were together once before, and now they're together again.
Bianca has finally resurfaced.
Aidan and Greenlee are over, and Greenlee is marrying Ryan - again.
Annie is going crazy because she apparently killed her brother and is obsessed with Ryan, but Ryan is totally over her because he's a jerk.
Seriously, I never liked Ryan. He was always sort of a player.
Susan Lucci needs to hurry up and die already.
Valentine's Day is coming up, and I'm sort of pumped. Sure, I won't be getting flowers from "my special someone", but there's chocolate and heart-shaped pizzas from Papa Murphy's!
Ugh, a bunch of my friends are making a big deal about how it's not Valentine's Day, it's "Singles Awareness Day", and Valentine's Day is just a stupid holiday that's not real and love isn't real and all that.
Well...yeah. Valentine's Day kind of sucks a little bit if you're single.
But it's not that big a deal. It's just high school.
And, for reals, the word "relationship" is kind of making me sick.
Several couples I know broke up and it ended badly for all of them. But now they're all complaining about how this love obviously wasn't real and the relationship was so hard and why can't guys be real, bla bla bla.
Ugh. It's HIGH SCHOOL. Of COURSE this didn't work out.
Yet because they've gone through this "tough time" and have more "experience", they're the mature ones.
And it's annoying.

Oh snap, was I right again?
I watched the ENTIRE Super Bowl Game.
And not only was it very exciting, THE STEELERS WON!!
EVERYONE in my entire family was rooting for the Cardinals, and they were a little peeved when my team won.
And after every touchdown they would say, "That didn't count. That shouldn't count. Oh, they counted it. Whatever. They're cheating. Did they pay the refs again?"
Sore losers.
There were some pretty good commercials, too.
And some excellent food.
So, all in all, a good Super Bowl XLIII.
Plus, my cousin sold us some delicious (albeit expensive) Campfire Mints.
Mmm, almond and caramel.
My guy friends and I sat in the library reading back issues of Seventeen.
They claimed it was to gain understanding about the enemy's mind.
But they seemed pretty into it.
Agh, new semester looks like it's going to suck.
There are all these new people in my classes and they scare the crap out of me.
CHANGE IS BAD, RESIST CHANGE!

Cooking lesson #1: Chocolate cake shouldn't taste like pickles
After reading "Cupcake" by Rachel Cohn, and inspired by Cyd Charisse's baking antics, I got a massive craving for homemade chocolate cupcakes with espresso frosting.
Seriously. I don't even like coffee.
But I've never made homemade cupcakes. Just the box kind.
And my mom has a bunch of old-school recipes, so I was pretty excited when I got home from school to make these suckers.
The recipe was pretty simple. REALLY simple, actually. It had one step: dump all the ingredients in the bowl and stir.
Then bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
It was going good until I found we didn't have any "salad oil".
Who calls it salad oil anymore? I was thinking olive oil, but my mom said it was vegetable oil, which we didn't have.
So I ended up using olive oil anyway.
I added the rest of the ingredients and stirred it all up.
The batter was sort of lumpy, but smelled a lot like these brownies I used to make all the time. Read: they smelled GOOOOOOOD.
And since there were no eggs in the recipe, I figured it wouldn't be too bad if I took a little taste.
BIG MISTAKE.
For some odd reason, the batter tasted like pickles, rather than the chocolate I so desperately craved.
And it was still really lumpy.
The vinegar and baking soda were reacting like a fifth grade science experiment.
The entire mixture was the consistency of soup. Really runny soup.
So right now it's in the oven and we'll see how it turns out.
But delicious cupcakes will have to wait.

Please just get it over with!!
My dad has gone crazy and must be stopped.
Ever since I made sugar cookies on Friday, he's been whipping up all sorts of holiday treats.
Yesterday, after I refused to make them, he made chocolate TRUFFLES.
He made TRUFFLES.
Then, today, while listening to Medved, he made macaroons, without chocolate, unfortunately.
And then (we thought he was kidding) I found him in the kitchen cubing cheese for cheese bread! It's in the oven now and it looks like a puffy, sauceless pizza.
And he usually hates when we eat carbs.
I HATE MICHAEL MOSCOVITZ!!! He's such a jerk in "Princess In Training", and SO CONTROLLING!
And people are like, "Oh, when he says, 'You WILL be mine,' I almost MELTED. It was SOOOO romantic."
Yeah. Maybe for someone with low-self esteem and a death wish.
BUt I have a sneaking suspicion that Mia will end up with Michael.
Because he's "changed" and they're "soulmates".
Ugh. If someone pressured you for sex and threatened to DUMP you if you didn't put out, why would you stay with him? I'd drop him immediately.
And they say he was only "joking", because he said, "I'm not going to wait forever," in a joking tone of voice.
But that is NOT something you joke about. You have NO idea how INCENSED this makes me.
Actually, you probably do, seeing as I've been yelling about it off and on since 2007.
Ugh.
Perin and Ling Su are definitely together.
I've been thinking about this, and some people agree with me, but there's a chance that Mia won't choose either boy; Michael OR JP. That would probably be the best ending, showing how much she's grown and how "self-actualized" she is.
This is terrible. I'm getting emotionally entangled with a YA series about a nonexistent principality (soon to become a democracy).

I want to wash my hair in snow
Shampoo works better, but that's okay.
I woke up this morning to a beautiful snowy neighborhood. The view out my window looked like a Thomas Kinkaid painting.
Did anyone else have a psycho 4th grade teacher who LOVED Thomas Kinkaid and forced her students to copy his paintings?
Wasn't it so lame that if you didn't make your painting look EXACTLY like his, you got a low grade?
Sorry SOME of us aren't as artistically talented as others.
And this man has been painting forever. It's not like a couple 4th graders are going to do a perfect job of copying his paintings.
"I've only seen paintings of this painting!"
So yeah, I'm not bitter or anything.
But anyway, as sinful as it sounds, I really DID NOT want to go to church today, and was convinced that the snow meant there would BE no church.
But no. There was church. The snow was just a ruse.
Sigh.
Then we were at a family Christmas party up on Fox Island and it started snowing really heavily and William and I were so PUMPED. NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!! WOOOO!!!
And then we got home and found all of OUR snow melted and gone.
The Suicide Hotline didn't answer my frantic phone call. How depressing.
Tie loved the snow, unlike Oggy, who detested it. She was frolicking around in the backyard, licking up mouthfuls and writing her name in colorful excrement.
I'm writing my English essay on the focus on male relationships in both "Night" and "Swing Kids". I hope Mr. Rosendale doesn't think I'm referring to homoerotic overtones scholars are so convinced they've found in other examples of literature, such as "Romeo and Juliet" (also titled "Romeo and Mercutio").
At least no one else will have done this topic.
But I might be surprised.
The family Christmas party wasn't so bad. Everyone spent a lot of time gazing adorably at baby Riley and there was a lot of good food.
I always feel out of place in our family, though. I'm thinking it's because of the dark hair. Almost everyone in my extended family (on my mom's side, anyway) has blonde hair and blue eyes, except for a few people only related by marriage. But they're all so perfect-Aryan and Scandinavian that I feel like hiding with my dark-haired father and siblings in a corner.
I feel like I've tainted the gene pool.
Actually, it's my dad who's tainted the gene pool.
And my relatives aren't pyscho Nazis, but I feel OUT OF PLACE. People can't tell I'm related to my mom, or my grandparents, or my cousins.
THEY'RE TRYING TO SET ME UP WITH MY SECOND COUSIN! At least I think he's my second cousin. Something like that.
I really hope they don't believe in arranged marriage.
Aaagh.
But if I did marry him, we probably shouldn't have kids.
They'll taint the gene pool.
Halloween candy: never far from my thoughts
You Are Candy Corn |
Your Halloween personality is whimsical, colorful, and creative. You see Halloween as a time to get your creative juices flowing. Each year, Halloween can't start soon enough for you. You tend to go all out for Halloween. You decorate like crazy and always dress up. |
What Your Love of Peanut Butter Cups Says About You |
You are hedonistic... sometimes to the point of being greedy. You love to eat, and there's no chance you're sharing your candy! While you may be greedy, it's with good reason. You have great taste. The things you love are worth loving, and it's no wonder you crave them. |

Stop sending me cocky e-mails, John McCain
We'll never get bored cuz we can go boarding.
Let's let the sunshine take us there.
As much as I despise this band, this is a pretty catchy song.
Ugh, John McCain is being obnoxious. He keeps sending us e-mails like, "Good debate last night", and, "2 Weeks to Victory!"
I bet Barack Obama is sending similar e-mails to his friends, but really?
I DON'T think you're going to win, John, and I think you know that.
Mmm, corn chips.
It's hard to type when a dog is LYING ON YOUR ARM.
Thank you, Tie.
Monday??
Flexible??
No complaining??
"La Boheme" and "Rent" are so similar, it's crazy. You can see things in "La Boheme" that Jonathan Larson took and added to each character from "Rent": Colline's coat, Schuanard's musical abilities, etc.
And Marcello is Mark and Joanne mixed into one character.
Alcindoro also reminded me a lot of both of them.
English was sort of a bummer.
As much as I love my teacher, we do NOT share the same views: morally, ethically, OR politically.
He was going on and on about moral absolutism vs. moral relativism and how moral relativism is how it SHOULD be, or rather, how it IS, and I got really bummed out, because he was completely dissing all my opinions (unwittingly, but still) and I didn't really get a chance to speak up.
It was just like...agh.
Ryan needs to eat.
Hurray for double chocolate Ho-Hos.
The best part is unrolling them and seeing the chocolate syrup. It's great.
But they're a little sticky.
Pajamajams. Pretty comfortable.
It seems like Jonathan Larson related to Mark the most, which is cool, because that's how I feel, especially regarding the song "Halloween".
Emma's little Pekinese attacked me.
But it wasn't very scary.
Don't you hate waking up early and thinking you're on time??
For example, when your alarm is set to 5:30, but you wake up at 1:30?
Sucks, doesn't it?

You Are Monday |
Like this day of the week, you are ruled by the moon. More than anything, you are flexible. You are moody and impressionable. You are easily influenced by the world around you. And while you can be temperamental, you eventually adjust. While Mondays tend to be the hardest day for people, you don't mind getting back to regular life. You're the one waking up early and making the coffee while everyone else complains. |

EXPLOSIVE news on the homefront!
Tom's new name is Tomothy.
He might start an explosive rumor if he's not careful.
One that's not even remotely believable.
Or maybe believable, just not right now.
If that makes sense.
Dang, no one is buying chocolate! I guess things have slowed down. People are getting sick of chocolate.
Except me. And I have no money. :(
Heh, worship team is fun.
But not at 10:00 at night.
That's when the babes are sleeping.
Or SHOULD be.
Jake's kind of a pyscho. "BABYGATE, BABYGATE!"
"Bass Ackwards and Belly Up" is a pretty fantastic book. It's one of those books that gets a lot of positive feedback and actually deserves it (unlike "Twilight" or "Eragon", per se). I'm about halfway through; for some reason, it's taken me a long time to get that far. No free time, I guess.
Thank God for Thursdays.
And Liam Neeson.
And coral reefs.
It was pretty cool yesterday. It was "See You At the Pole" and Jessica and I wanted to leave PE early, and Mr. Freeman actually let us! We made in in time for the last 5 minutes or so (it took us a while to get dressed :P).
Well, gotta run, I've got babies to feed.
None of my own; I just like feeding babies!!

Aaron Carter makes a comeback
Where has Aaron Carter gone? Back to the Abyss, where he belongs??
Because SOMEONE was singing "I Want Candy" all day today.
Ironically, he wouldn't buy any of my chocolate.
Really, if this is the age where chilren are super cynical and text better than they can talk, WHY do adults feel the need to "teach" us how to USE THE INTERNET??
We sat in the library for HALF AN HOUR in English because the librarian had some "interesting" and "useful" things to teach us.
It's like telling kids not to touch each other inappropriately or use racial slurs for the MILLIONTH time.
They already KNOW it.
And my table was all set and ready to check out a book, but the librarian took so long that we had a minute left in the period by the time she was done.
Aaargh.
Ha.
So far, Mr. Rosendale has been my biggest seller with 7 bars, followed by Mr. Freeman with 5, and John with 4 or 5.
Mr. Hurd bought an Almond bar with 75 pennies and 1 quarter.
And he doesn't even like chocolate.
"Eagle Eye" is coming out at midnight on Friday. Aaargh. Shia LaBoeuf.
His name means Shia the Beef.
Francois Truffaut was totally cynical, but kind of amazing. Mr. Anspach wants to show "Wild Child", but I kind of want to see "Jules and Jim".

Disneyland is mine!!
You Are a Chocolate Chip Bagel |
You are creative, experimental, and and self-aware. You are a very bohemian person, and you tend to live a strange life. Of all the types, you're the most likely to go for strange food combinations. You tend to have coffee for breakfast. Anything with lots of coffee will do. |
Closer than whole-wheat.
We had to use all the exercise machines in PE, then do a billion crunches. Oh, my abs. But then Mr. Freeman turned off the lights and some New Age music and and had us "relax" for 8 minutes. It was heavenly.
Mr. Freeman was actually my biggest customer today. He bought 5 chocolate bars and then had me give them to my friends. ? Cool.
Tomorrow is "See You At the Pole" day, and Jessica and I want to ditch PE to go. But Mr. Freeman might not let us.
I've almost sold a whole box of chocolate!! 3 bars left!!!
In science, Tyler was torturing some worms.
So I have a Sims 2 blog. But I haven't started posting yet. There's Youth Band tonight and I have math homework...:O

PINK TEAM!!
PE was pretty intense today. We split into teams, and Alexis, Kevin, Tori, Sarah, and I were on the PINK team. We wore flamboyant jerseys and yelled, "PINK team!!" So you can tell it was fun for everyone else, too, lol. :P
We were also the "Muscular Strength" team. Yeaaah, strong...PINK team!!
Then Mr. Freeman had us play this soccer-ish game where we kicked the ball around and has to exercise the 5 components of fitness if we lost.
Corum bruised my shins SOOOO bad.
Kelsey practically tackled me to the ground.
Ben is hilarious. And he bought a chocolate bar off me. So he's pretty much my new best friend.
Ha, I love the pink team.
I love how completely untrue those were.
Ugh, Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge is so LAME!! I have really big families that eat a lot and don't really do anything exciting.
And there are NO fortune OR romance Sims??
And there are too many elders. :P I tried playing with my first family, but nothing exciting happened, and all my Sims almost DIED because there weren't enough beds!! So I used "maxmotives". And I wasn't even sorry.
I sort of wasted my money on "Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff". Just clothes.
HISTORY WAS SO AMAZING!!! We had to make pyramids, and Maricel made one out of Starbursts and Pez!! It was pretty epic. And then she let us EAT IT!!
Then Ariel unveiled the pyramid cake she had made the night before, and let us eat THAT!!
Why is it that the best moments of my life involve food rather than people?
Hmmmm....
The chocolate bar sale is ON!! Cherrydale Farms. Heh. Pretty delicious. I've sold 19 so far. Only 23 more to go!!

Teamwork! Pokemon! Dugtrio!
Uggggh. "Barbie and the Diamond Castle" was pretty bad, even for a Barbie movie.
I was so excited, too, but it was no "Mariposa", which pretty much changed my life.
Or "Barbie as the Island Princess", which was pretty cool.
Barbie's friend Teresa had a major role, but didn't really do anything. It was mostly just a Barbie lovefest.
And there were singing Elvis twins!!! Aaaaaah say it isn't so!!
The creators of the movie thought it would be ABSOLUTELY hilarious to have the puppies start breakdancing.
CHOCOLATE! The Cherrydale Farms guy came to our school and supplied us with candy. Raaah, I want to start selling.
Maybe I'll even buy a whole box so I can hole up in my room and eat all 42 bars.
"Oh, uh, hey there, Timpani. I'd like to thank you for this amazing breakfast. Scrambled eggs and cinnamon toast?? Mmmmm...delicious."
Ba dum bum.
Aaaah, a Sims blog!!! I'm trying to go back to the very beginning. It'll probably take a while.
SUCCESS!
Sierra stole my measuring tape.
But, no matter, I'm still flat-chested.
:(
Mr. Rosendale is having us read really depressing stories.
First, "The Cold Equations" (okay, not going to lie, I liked that one).
Then, it was "The river, the Bass, and Sheila Mant" (Aaargh. She wasn't worth it...and THEY BOTH GOT AWAY!)
Pretty soon, we're going to read "Of Mice and Men".
Lennie!!! Bunnies!!! Murder!!! Morality!! God!!!
Sounds like a blast. XP
I kind of want to make a Sims blog now.
But we all know how that will turn out.

Sacrifice one...
...for the lives of many.
Seriously, it was the only way.
Barton could let Marilyn stay, rather than sending her out into her doom, but then they both would have died, and they would wouldn't have gotten to the sick men in time, resulting in a total of 8 deaths.
He also could have sacrificed himself, but then MARILYN would have had to fly the ship, and the EDS was on a tight schedule, so why would it be good to kill yourself for one girl when other people need you?
And Marilyn was a STOWAWAY, which is pretty much ILLEGAL, and for which the stowaway was condemned to death in the law.
So maybe it wasn't completely fair, but there were consequences for the choice she made.
Although she WAS a really nice person and didn't deserve to have her lungs ripped through her chest.
Argh argh argh. So kind of a crappy day.
I'm having MAJOR PMS.
That, and the weather is crappy and Washington-like, and I'm still sick, and I went to the orthodontist and I'll be wearing these retainers for-freaking-ever, and we had the LAMEST assembly during advisory today.
Uggggh.
But I'm mostly mad about the stupid orthodontist thing. AAAAARGH IT'S BEEN 6 FREAKING YEARS SINCE I STARTED "TREATMENT" I WANT TO BE DONE!!
But noooooooooooo, I have to wear these retainers for another 8 MONTHS.
If braces are so expensive, why did my parents MAKE me get them if they need the money?
And if they didn't need the money then, they could have at least gotten me a pony.
Stop Global Warming...
...or all the Reese's will melt!

Ahoy matey! Ye can think o' yerself as a swashbuckler in trainin'. If ye study hard an 'do what the captain tells ye, ye may be gettin' part o' the booty. Get to work on yer pillagin', swordfightin', an' drinkin'. Ye dasn't want to end up in Davy Jones' locker, so make sure ye pipe down when the captain be around. |

All right, all right
I'm posting, Tyler, I'm posting.
Please never sit on my book again.
Or change the ink in my pen.
Aaaagh, and don't sing that "Owls" song anymore.
Are there actually owls popping out of a bowl of gravy in the music video?
King of the Beavers, King of the Beavers.
The School Store is so amazing.
Only they didn't have any poppyseed muffins.
They only had blueberry.
Ewww, and they were the GROSS kind, with the GINORMOUS blueberries that squish when you eat them.
Ain't that the truth.
Aargh. I really have nothing to say.
Oh, I dressed like a cougar today. It felt good.
King-size Butterfingers are pretty delicious.
Ew, "Three Men and a Cradle" is sort of lame and gross. You get a long look at the baby girl's nether region.
You get to watch her PEEING on the unfortunate young men.
Curse you, Europe!!!!!

You Are 40% Goth |
You definitely have some gothicness going on, but you're far from being a stereotypical goth. You enjoy certain elements of goth culture, but you're not going to be into something simply because it's goth. It's likely that you're the type of person who totally defies labels. Good for you! If you are into something, it's because you sincerely love it. Not because it projects a certain image. |

You Would Be Voted Most Outspoken |
In school, you were often the first person to raise your hand in class. You always had something to say, and you weren't afraid to say it. You were well known for being politically active and controversial. And while people may not have agreed with you all the time, they appreciated you speaking your mind. |
Ain't that the truth.
Aargh. I really have nothing to say.

Etre ou etre pas, c'est le question.
Ha ha ha. French is cool.
Would you feel gypped if you bought a big bag of flavored Tootsie Rolls, AND IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY VANILLAS OR LIMES?
They're the only reason I EAT those things!
I was trapped in Yelm all weekend with the Youth Group.
But it ended up being pretty fun.
Except for the bus ride there.
And sleeping in a cabin full of talkative girls, who apparently like being awake for 48 hours with no sleep.
I was awake for 17 hours, and I was irritable.
Gross. Who'd want to eat cornbread saturated with baked beans, coleslaw, and brisket. Narsty.
Band is cool. Except when everyone is ninja kicking each other.
Emma's little brother is an elf. Hahahaha.
Science is actually not so bad. Everyone in the class is sort of a smart aleck, so we drive the teacher nuts. Which isn't good. But that's okay!!
Argh, no free time, no free time.
My mom was freaking out because I have my final drive tomorrow and she doesn't think I'll pass.
Which is pretty comforting.
-_-
So she made me practice parking, which I suck at, and backing around an uneven corner.
Fun fun fun.
But there's always Hostess Cupcakes and hot fudge to cheer me up.
Not together.
That would be indecent...
...but tasty.
We had to cover a ginormous paper bag with pictures that represented different aspects of our personality for English class.
I covered one whole side with pictures of FOB and another with photos of John McCain.
The other kids were not too impressed.
But Mr. Rosendale thinks it's cool that I'm a "Republican" (in the loosest sense of the word), but thinks I'll drop my "parent's values" and find "my own" by senior year.
Well, I might kind of sort of stand for civil unions...
...but you can get your own health care.
And forget mandatory preschool.
