False much?

You Are Traditional and Dependable

You are optimistic, friendly, and cheerful. People appreciate the hopefulness and good vibes you bring to any situation.

You are a very active, on the go person. You get restless if you're forced to sit still for too long.

You're easy going and easy to be around. You aren't picky or high maintenance.

You seek security in your life. Feeling safe is important to you.

You Got 4/10 Questions Right

You are by no means an Obama expert, but you know a few things about him.

You may (or may not) be a fan, but you definitely don't consider yourself an Obamamaniac.

You may not know Obama's favorite movie or ice cream flavor, but you know the basics.

And that's enough for you to be a fully informed citizen!

Whaaaat? They made a "LOST" quiz, but they ignored my "Rent" requests.
Lame.

You Are Sun

You have a past history of being secretive and deceptive.

You're the type of person who will protect yourself at all costs.

While you can be crafty when you need to, you are usually giving, friendly, and likable.

You truly care for other people, and you are very sensitive.

People tend to underestimate you. You seem like a fragile flower, but you're not.

You are gutsy and clever. You have a way of getting what you want without anyone noticing.

I whistle a happy tune

Wow. Yesterday was a little crazy.
Nathan came home, so our family is now complete and we'll spend lots of time eating, playing video games, and making up song/dance/rap numbers.
Really, that's whta we do in our free time.
Michael Medved brought up the UN decriminalizing homosexuality, and I had been waiting for him to bring this up, so I called him up and they let me on the air. I then started hyperventilating and thoroughly embarassed myself, but Michael was cool about it.
There was nothing on TV but an episode of "Numbers" that didn't make any sense since we'd missed the first 5 minutes, and didn't make sense later in the episode when they supposedly "solved" the case. The kid from "Crayola Kids" and "The King and I" (animated version of course) played a troubled street kid trying to do the right thing (see title of post). He has not aged well. What happened to his thriving Broadway career? Did they let him go and, unable to find a job at McDonalds, settled for a guest spot on "Numbers"? Or did he give up Broadway himself in order to become "a famous television actor"? Well, if you wanted that, you picked the wrong show.
But I hate the "mathematical" explanations, because they never apply to anything that has happened in the entire episode, so while the geeks are like, "Great, I've solved the case, let's wiggle, homeslice," you're just sitting there, blinking confusedly.
And Charlie played Bernard in "The Santa Clause". EW!!!
And Don, the brother, is barely in it. So when they were talking about his "moving" decision to renew his faith and start going to temple, I was like, "What does that even matter? He's had 5 lines in this episode!"
That one black girl is SO ANNOYING!! They try to make her out to be so "tough" and "hood" and "don't mess with her, yo". The other math-y guy was all, "Ooh, I like it like that," and her winning response was, "Well, don't." OOOOOOOOOH, THAT'S RIGHT!! You sure showed HIM!
How much more racially stereotyped could you get?
Now Luke is frolicking in the snow, only he's doing a much cuter job than Tie. He scoops up tiny mouthfuls and does dainty little prances up to the fence to show you.
He reminds me a little bit of Master Shifu. "Have a dumpling."

Quit trashing my book

So sayeth the Lord.
Stop having kids, Angelina Jolie!
Poor Brad. 6 kids and another on the way? No wonder they're not married.
Lisa Miller. Yes, it DOES mention lesbian sex in the Bible.
And it specifically states that marriage should between "man and woman".
Just because Abraham and Jacob had multiple wives doesn't mean it was okay.
Many figures in the Bible were FAR from perfect (*cough cough* David *cough cough*). He had an extra-marital affair and we KNOW that's not right. Polygamy was a cultural thing, not a biblical thing.
And of COURSE Jesus would be reaching out to lesbians and gays. He loved EVERYONE and even hung out with tax-collectors and prostitutes, who were seen as "unclean".
But just because he LOVED them didn't mean he AGREED with their lifestyle.
So just because Jesus was a nice person and people in the Bible doesn't mean you have a good pro-gay marriage argument.
2.5%!!! Woo, we're rare!
Black, blue, and silver.
Mypersonality.info is pretty intense. Kind of cool.
Just like Peter Jackson.

Dying for your country did nothing for capitalism

People must really hate Veteran's Day. My mom and I went to check out the "big sales" at the mall, and they weren't all that spectacular.
J.C. Penny had this whole thing of, "Buy 1 item for full price and get the second for a dollar!"
So if I buy a pair of $50 jeans, I can get another pair almost for free.
Too bad $50 is way more than I would ever spend on jeans.
And then the lingerie department was like, "10% off all bras!!"
Great. So a $10 bra becomes $9 and a $40 bra becomes $36.
Ooooh, wonderful savings.
Sierra stole Frederick Minut.
She won't give him back.
Amanda's party was pretty intense. Sarah Palin had to save the world from Madam Narcolepsy, and Barack Obama raised taxes, thereby defeating Tentaclewoman.
I ended up with dalmatian gloves, 4 glass rings, and Lola the Stripper Fairy doll.

You Are Scrabble

You are incredibly clever and witty. You can talk your way out of (and into) situations easily.

You are an excellent decision maker. You are good at weighing the options in front of you.

You're the type of person who can make something out of nothing. You are very resourceful.

You know a lot of things. Most importantly, you know when people are wrong - even when they won't admit it.

Barack Obama! You're limiting my TV options!

The election results weren't as bad as I thought they would be.
Of course, Barack Obama won.
Gee, didn't see that one coming.
Even if I didn't (or don't) agree with his politics, people's excitement about his election is contagious.
And all of my friends are genuinely happy and think he'll bring a change.
And, looking on the bright side, he can't be worse than Bush.
I really want to know what kind of puppy he's getting his daughters once they move into the White House.
He definitely deserved to win the election, and John McCain was very sportsmanlike about losing.
I-1000 passed in Washington, though. It pretty much sucks.
I talked to some people about it, though, and their reasoning was, "Well, it costs a lot to keep someone on life support."
Yeah, that's true, too bad it's a COMPLETELY different issue.
I-1000 was about legalized suicide.
How come health care will pay to give someone a lethal injection, but won't pay to help fight the disease?
And how come teens shouldn't commit suicide, but sick adults are allowed to?
When this point was brought up, however, those same people said, "Well, it life support costs a lot."
It's pretty funny. A bunch of kids in my English class are closet conservatives, and we all sit near one another.
I stole my dad's sweatshirt. No, I've never attended Wichita State.
Hi-Chews are on sale, but everyone is broke.
Mmm, that's what Pop Tarts are for.

The Castle Personality Test

You are scared of new experiences. It's hard for you to break outside of your comfort zone.

You like to think that people see you as dramatic and fascinating. You do your best to seem mysterious.

You are a very romantic person. You can't help but see the world as it should be.

Right now, you feel like the whole world is open to you. You see lots of possibilities.

Overall, your life is very peaceful - if not a little solitary. Much of what goes on goes on in your head.

You aren't optimistic about the future. You worry about what will happen to the world and if we'll be able to clean up the messes we've made.

We just finished "The Pit and the Pendulum" in English, and now we're watching a weird movie version that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual story.
The acting is rather horrendous, and all efforts to scare didn't do much for today's desensitized American teenagers.

Political graciousness: a privelege, not a right

The first issue of the school newspaper came out. It was actually pretty good, except for a couple articles that didn't weren't exactly "non-biased".
Reporters report things.
They don't preach things.
Which is why I'd be a horrible reporter.

It smells like strawberries!
Try saying that with a British accent. Straaawberries.
Ugh, like that guy on "Indiana Jones".
"JOOOOOOOOOONESYYYYYYYY! Jonesy, I'm gonna be all right. *wink*"
And then the aliens sucked him away.
But not Harrison Ford!
The stupid election.
I'm sort of discouraged. I know I've lost, okay. Or, at least, McCain has lost.
But it annoys me that because I'm not for Obama, people assume I'm racist.
It has nothing to do with the color of his skin!! It has to do with the fact that he's for abortion and what not!
And of COURSE America's ready for a black president. I just don't want it to be this one.
But that's not my choice. Barack Obama has won. So, in 4 years, I'll be 20, and I'll be able to vote, and if there is a black Republican candidate, I'll vote for them.
But quit calling me a racist.

Monday, November 03, 2008

That's not cool. Shut your foo.

How does that even happen? Why would she be okay with that?
You're not even REMOTELY romantically interested in each other...and yet?
Just a small problem.
Anyway.
Crap. The election is tomorrow.
Either way, we're screwed.

We Can't Predict Who You Voted For

According to our quiz, there's a 45% chance you voted for Obama.

But that means there's an 55% chance you voted for McCain.

You aren't very typical. You tend to be independent, and your vote is highly coveted.

While we can't predict how you voted, there's a good chance you voted for the winner!

"Peter Pan" is really a very depressing book. Disney completely romanticized it and makes it seem like a wonderful children's story, but it's really not.
I'm not saying it's not a good book; it is. It's just really sad and violent and it's not something I'd read to my kids at bedtime.
They kill all the Indians! ALL OF THEM! IT'S A BLOODY MASSACRE!
THEY GOT TIGER LILY!
And Peter Pan never grows up. We all knew that was coming of course, but he completely forgets the people dearest to him, like Tinkerbell (who dies), Hook (his nemesis), the Lost Boys, and Wendy.
When Wendy grows up, he befriends her daughter Jane and takes her to Neverland.
When Jane grows up, he befriends her daughter Maragaret and takes HER to Neverland.
It's a neverending cycle.
I don't know. It kind of sucks for the girls, who "love" Peter in more ways than one, but find that he's too young and immature to get that.
Then, as they continue to mature and age, they have to leave him behind in Neverland.
My least favorite part is that Wendy, John, Michael, and the lost boys have all these wonderful adventures with fairies and pirates and what not...
...and then return to England, grow up, and live perfectly ordinary lives.
You would think that going to Neverland would make life...I don't know...worth living.
Kind of messes you up a little bit.

Stop sending me cocky e-mails, John McCain

We'll never get bored cuz we can go boarding.
Let's let the sunshine take us there.
As much as I despise this band, this is a pretty catchy song.
Ugh, John McCain is being obnoxious. He keeps sending us e-mails like, "Good debate last night", and, "2 Weeks to Victory!"
I bet Barack Obama is sending similar e-mails to his friends, but really?
I DON'T think you're going to win, John, and I think you know that.
Mmm, corn chips.
It's hard to type when a dog is LYING ON YOUR ARM.
Thank you, Tie.
Monday??
Flexible??
No complaining??

You Are Monday

Like this day of the week, you are ruled by the moon.

More than anything, you are flexible.

You are moody and impressionable. You are easily influenced by the world around you.

And while you can be temperamental, you eventually adjust.

While Mondays tend to be the hardest day for people, you don't mind getting back to regular life.

You're the one waking up early and making the coffee while everyone else complains.

"La Boheme" and "Rent" are so similar, it's crazy. You can see things in "La Boheme" that Jonathan Larson took and added to each character from "Rent": Colline's coat, Schuanard's musical abilities, etc.
And Marcello is Mark and Joanne mixed into one character.
Alcindoro also reminded me a lot of both of them.
English was sort of a bummer.
As much as I love my teacher, we do NOT share the same views: morally, ethically, OR politically.
He was going on and on about moral absolutism vs. moral relativism and how moral relativism is how it SHOULD be, or rather, how it IS, and I got really bummed out, because he was completely dissing all my opinions (unwittingly, but still) and I didn't really get a chance to speak up.
It was just like...agh.
Ryan needs to eat.
Hurray for double chocolate Ho-Hos.
The best part is unrolling them and seeing the chocolate syrup. It's great.
But they're a little sticky.
Pajamajams. Pretty comfortable.
It seems like Jonathan Larson related to Mark the most, which is cool, because that's how I feel, especially regarding the song "Halloween".
Emma's little Pekinese attacked me.
But it wasn't very scary.
Don't you hate waking up early and thinking you're on time??
For example, when your alarm is set to 5:30, but you wake up at 1:30?
Sucks, doesn't it?

Tinglies in that silly place

"It's the most horrible feeling! It tickles in all the wrong ways!"
"This wouldn't happen if you weren't so fat."
That's an annoying feeling. It feels pretty good, but when it comes, you're like, "Oh no, not that again."
Sometimes I wonder if guys and girls are REALLY meant to be together. Because guys anger girls by being weird and not communicating, and girls anger guys by being clingy and needy and OVERcommunicating, and you never really get a rhythm going.
But then girl-girl relationships usually involve INTENSE jealousy and guy-guy relationships lack commitment (in most cases, anyway).
So it's like we should all become amoebas and reproduce asexually.
Seriously. The world would be SO much better off.

You Should Maybe Be Allowed to Vote

You got 10/15 questions correct.

You're somewhat in the know, but you're not as informed as you think you are.

Your political information is a little old or incorrect.

Consider studying up a bit before you cast you vote! You want to make sure you know where you stand.

Trust me, I know where I stand.

You Should Be a Ghost

You are seen as shy and introverted. You like to blend in... or disappear.

You see Halloween as the day you can sit back and enjoy what other people are doing.

You don't scare all that easily on Halloween. If anything, you tend to scare people.

You don't try to be scary, but you do tend to lurk around and catch people by surprise.

Ha, that's funny.
Oh dear, that is...NOT that comforting.
Don't you hate if when your mom buys tons of delicious food and won't let you eat any of it?
I'm sort of pumped for Homecoming. The game, not the dance. Our football team is going to lose, but we're playing "I Saw Her Standing There"!! Yeah!!
If someone does something inconsequential and somehow gets in trouble for it, that's unjust.
But when they do it again just to prove a point, they deserve it.
But that's just me.

No need to fear...German Kid is here!!

You're always waiting just in time to save me, I'm always useless, I'm not alone!!!
Hee, Stellar Kart.
Fridays. So relaxing.
And, for once, I have no homework!
Well, just a little bit, not an insurmountable amount.
Agh, all my friends are being weird. Well, not all, but some.
And it's weird in a good way.
Just...WEIRD.
Courtney Love killed Kurt Cobain. We know she did.
She killed Heath Ledger, too.
AND River Phoenix!
Who's next? Brad Pitt?
"Oh well, he has 8 kids. It's not like he won't leave behind a legacy."
So when they locked us in the school because they were "looking for someone", we knew it was Courtney!!!
Lumpia is so delicious.
Apologize to Joe the Plumber, Barack! Apologize!
Soren is pretty hilarious.
It's a hat day.

Courtney Love will kill us all

What Your Nose Says About You

It's likely that you'll be lucky with money, though this luck may come later in life.

You tend to be stubborn. You don't take other people's opinions seriously.

You are straightforward and honest. You sometimes offend people without realizing it.

You are objective and logical. You make a good businessperson.

You are a realist. You aren't much of an optimist or a pessimist.

My great-uncle got lost in the woods today. I wish I was joking about that. He, my grandpa, and my other great-uncle went hunting yesterday and he went missing.
They sent out a search-and-rescue team. That's how bad it was.
My mom got a call from grandma at 3 PM, and they still hadn't found him.
3 hours later, she got another call, and Don had made it out alive.
Huh. And they say God doesn't exist.
I got a free jacket today. It's pretty comfortable. And it has Eiffel Towers on it.
My dad is NOT against violently plunging a toilet.
Even a toilet full of crap.
I know he's frustrated about the election, but he's yelling about it to people that don't care. I mean, I care, but being the pessimist I am, I'm pretty positive John McCain is digging his own grave.
Seriously, John, just give up now.
Well, do that or STOP BEING SUCH A PANSY!!!
Ha ha, I'm my father's daughter.
I bought a Secret Teen Spirit Stick at Wal-Mart. Does that make me immature?
I couldn't help it! It smelled like strawberries!
I also bought the latest Seventeen.

Stupid actions require stupid solutions

You Are Having a Green Day

You are approaching today with a good deal of balance and awareness.

If you didn't pay attention, today could be like any old day. Nothing too exciting is going on.

But for you, today all about making the most of each moment.

You are seeing the beauty in every situation, and you're keeping your mind open to possibilities.

YESSS! I finally found a book series I used to read that I've been looking for forever.
There was another one, though, that was my favorite children's book, but I can't find the title. They just keep talking about the plot. It's like they forgot what it was called, too.
Steven Kellogg's Best Friends!!!!
BEST BOOK EVER!!!
This book made me cry in 1st grade.
What would you do if there was only one puppy?
Ugh, ethics are tiring. We read "Coup de Grace" in English, and it's a good story, but then we have to write about whether we think the main character did the right thing in killing his best friend.
True, his friend WANTED to die, but murder is wrong in any situation.
So while he was helping his friend, he did kill someone.
But if you're against that, then you should be against the death penalty, because if humans shouldn't have the right to choose to kill someone, then they shouldn't be able to murder criminals.
It's just too confusing.
We watched kind of a bummer movie in French, called "Manon of the Spring".
Manon's humpback dad Jean was sort of screwed over by Papet and his nephew Ugolin, who hid the spring from Jean and dried up all his crops.
Then Ugolin falls in love with Manon and sews her ribbon THROUGH HIS NIPPLES!
Try watching that while eating a roast beef sandwich. Ewwww.
Then Ugolin kills himself because Manon finds out what he did and hates his guts, and his suicide note was SOOOOOO sad!!!
He wrote about how much he loves Manon, and how much she loves this teacher guy, but the teacher guy didn't love her!! And Ugolin wanted to kill the teacher for taking Manon for granted, but that would make her sad and he knew killing himself would make her happy!!!!
I almost died.
Then, it turns out Florette, Manon's grandmother, got pregnant with Jean after a magic night with...PAPET!!
So Papet basically killed his own son and drove his nephew to suicide. But he never told Manon any of this because he DIED THE NEXT DAY!!!
Dang. Kind of messes you up.
I remember the Magic Attic Club!!! And the Cobble Street Cousins!!
I think they have every single one!! Checking them ALL out.

Practically Sarah Palin

You Should Live in Alaska

If you don't want to live in Alaska, you might also consider:

Indiana

Mississippi

Nebraska

New Hampshire

South Carolina

Hey, my grandparents live in South Carolina!!
Ugh, "7th Heaven" is the worst show EVER!!
First they say that you shouldn't have sex before marriage.
The family in the show is, of course, Christian.
But then when Lucy finds out Kevin might have slept with another girl and wants to break up with him, that's frowned upon??
And how did the mom study EVERYTHING in college? She used to smoke pot??
Oh boy. I bet THAT was a fun episode.
Oh, how wonderful Matt is for dating a disabled person.
Correction: she's DEAF.
Ugh, hate these people.
In the episode I watched today, Simon had a BABY??
And to play the part of the edgy teenage father, he wore a leather jacket and a *gasp* HOOP EARRING!
Matt married Sarah after one date??? This show is screwed up!!
And I hate how they want to be all wise and have a moral to each show, and cover topics such as voting and racism, because those are prominent in America today, but they've never mentioned homosexuality, affirmative action, or abortion.
Heh. I could imagine an affirmative action episode.
Rev. Camden: Well, LaShawn, I decided to hire Connor instead.
LaShawn: RACIST!
Rev. Camden: What? No, no!
LaShawn: I'm calling the NAACP!
Rev. Camden: We can work this out. I am VERY open-minded about colored-people.
And the moral of the story would be that everyone should be able to get a job, regardless of color. And Rev. Camden would end up hiring LaShawn as well as Connor.
That was pretty much the exact plot of the racism episode. "They've written something obscene about African-Americans on my car!"
Ha, Emma and I went with the rest of the band kids to see the midnight premiere of "Eagle Eye".
Shia LaBoeuf. Worst actor EVER. But not as bad as Michelle Monahan.
Spoiler warning:
Eagle Eye is a computer. The government screwed themselves over. It's possible to be hit by a powerline and explode. Oh, it's also possible to get shot 3 times in the chest and survive with only a broken arm.
And you won't get arrested if you try to kill the president for a greater good.
So lame.
I finally finished "Bass Ackwards and Belly Up". GREAT book. SO much better than "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". :P

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Blue eyes are overrated.

I look in the mirror and they sicken me.
Brown eyes just look better.
And blue eyes are often the target of authors who wish to prattle on and on about the character's "piercing gaze".
Ugh, I had my last drive today. Thank God it's finally over. I never get nervous before a big test, so it ticks me off when I make stupid mistakes anyway that I can't attribute to nerves.
But, again, Ed yelled at me FAR MORE than he yelled at Phoebe.
But that's probably just me being paranoid.
Or in denial.
Ugh, I'm so glad to see the back of him, and I think for him the feeling's mutual. There's no need to make me feel like a complete and total failure for not turning my wheels when parking on a hill.
And then my dad made things worse by spazzing out over some quizzes I needed to make up, and I didn't know which ones I had to make up, so he was all, "WHY AREN'T YOU TELLING ME???"
Ticks me off to know end. It's called listening, try it some time.
Ugh I'm just really PMS-y right now.
I just finished "The Crucible", which both Mr. Hurd and Mr. Rosendale reccommended, and that was pretty dang depressing.
Cliff notes for The Crucible: Everyone dies.
I didn't agree with part of what the author was trying to portray, though.
But that happens all the time.
ENOUGH WITH THE SARAH PALIN JOKES!
Cyrano de Bergerac is my hero.
I wish I could come up with good comebacks like he does.
Mr. Anspach is showing the 1950 film in class and it's pretty sweet.
I love how he has a big nose, but flaunts it. Which is what I try to do. But he's a pro.
Roxanne is such a lame-o, though. You don't tell your guy friend you like another guy. You just don't. It's awkward and cruel. I almost cried when he realized Roxanne didn't love him back. :(
But he only likes her because she's pretty. Seriously.

Don't ask, don't tell

I wasn't sure what that meant at first.
So I retook the McCain/Obama quiz, and I am 76% for McCain and 24% for Obama.
Tie and I went on a walk with Alexis and her dogs. Cosmo was there, too, and Tie tried to eat him, but Isabel rescued him and there was a death match.
BEAT DOWN!
SCHOOL SUPPLY SHOPPING!!! One of the best days of the year. But I really didn't need that much, so I just bought some binders and a couple T-shirts.
Where are all the composition notebooks??? I couldn't find them!!
There was a T-shirt that said "Vader for Prez '08" but I couldn't find one in my size. >:(
I would totally vote for Vader.
Take a ride on the dark side.
Eeeee, tomorrow is going to be so cool!
Spoken like a true sophomore, I know, but seriously!! I get to start AND end the day with a cool class.
Oh, but I do have PE first thing.
And the PE teacher is a psycho.
-_- Oh well, at least all my band buddies are in it.
"The Big Bang Theory" is pretty much the best show on television.
Better than "High School Musical: Get in the Picture", anyway. Too much drama. There are some pretty fine guys on it, though. STAN IS NOT ONE OF THEM!! James is in the chorus. :(
Ugh, and whenever he has a lead part and he messes up, the faculty excuses it because he's smooth, or whatever.
Isaiah is the MAN!
But Sheldon on Big Bang Theory pretty much makes my day, even though he's such a jerk. And he wears funny pants.
"I'm going to collaborate with you!"
And Daniel Kim got a girl at 15-years-old, so they're all jealous.
The first season came out on DVD today!!! WANT!

Add "poop" to anything and you're golden.

Have you ever....
1. Taken off and/or adjusted your belt in public when you felt a muffin top coming on?

2. Had an itch that you could not scratch in public without drawing negative attention?

3. Walked out of the bathroom with a handful of creamy lotion and said, "This is NOT what it looks like!!!"

4. Looked in your nose, said, "I wonder what that is," and gone for it?
I still can't get it, by the way.

You Are Much Closer to Your Family

You consider your family members to be your some of best friends.

And you can count on them more than anyone else in the world.

You're very similar to your family, and you find it easy to get along with them.

You know that they understand you and love you for who you are.

We spent a bunch of time at the beach yesterday, which included a raucous game of "Duck, Duck, Goose" with the twins, where the words "Duck Poop" replaced "Duck".

Your Issue Profile: 28% Obama, 72% McCain

When it gets down to it, you tend to best match John McCain.

But he's not the perfect candidate for you, and you may not be sold on him yet.

Obama shares a good number of your views too, so you might want to give him a second look.

It all comes down to which issues matter to you the most.

Yeah right. I would NEVER VOTE FOR oBAMA.
Ha I laughed when I heard who John McCain picked for VP.
Sarah Palin is like SuperMom.
If Barack Obama is so big on women's rights and diversity, why did he pick an old white guy as his running mate?
SCHOOL IS IN 2 DAYS!!! CAN'T WAIT!!

I'll steeeeeeeal you, Johanna!

I think I'm in love. I'm planning on proposing any time now.
Seriously. These jeans are amazing.
Aaargh, this quiz was pretty inaccurate, but this one was closer out of the two answers I got.

You Are an Eyebrow Piercing

You are unique, quirky, and more than a little eccentric.

You cultivate the weirder sides of your personality, and you don't mind sharing them.

Ever since you were a kid, you've had strong opinions. You've never been like everyone else, and you're okay with that.

And you've always been able to tell people exactly what you think - even when they don't want to hear it.

You love to create, dream, imagine, and communicate. You live in your own universe.

And unlike most people who live in their own little world, you're happy to invite anyone in!

Aaagh. Eyebrow piercing. That seems like it would be uber-painful.
But not as painful as a lip piercing.
A nose piercing still seems the coolest and least painful, even though it would be in cartilage, not just skin.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH there was an article on Barack Obama and Joe Biden in the paper today and it made me SO MAD.
Not because of what the article itself, but because of the subheading.
"Democrats hope the veteran Delaware senator will attract voters who have been alluding Barack Obama - white, blue-collar workers."
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And it's not what the subheading SAYS that bugs me, because that's probably true, but they used the wrong word!!!
"Alluding" means to reference or mention.
If the white, blue-collar workers have been "alluding" to Barack Obama, why does he need Joe Biden to attract them?
The proper word would have been "elude", which means to avoid or escape.
AARGH it was another proud American moment.
Cuz we're living in America
At the end of the millenium
We're living in America
Leave your consience at the tone.
That song is too great. I might be able to buy that soundtrack on Tuesday - finally!
I listened to the original cast Broadway recording and that was pretty spectacular.
Tie chased Luke around the yard yesterday and Luke almost had a heart attack, but he was okay and tried to bite me when I refilled his food bowl, so he's fine.
Tie's obsessed with him now and races to his cage when I let her outside.
Little psycho.

What if the "average" Christian, conservative family was a rarity?

It seems like white Christian conservative families aren't the norm, though people sometimes make it seem like it is. Or maybe they don't. It's very possible I don't know what I'm talking about.
I still think they should add more races to the standardized test, though.
Ha, my family fits that stereotype.
Which is scarier, driving places with your mom, or driving around a miniscule town with your driving instructor?
Surprisingly, driving with Ed scares the living daylights out of me. I always make stupid mistakes when I'm driving with him. And he wonders why I'm nervous.
But I drove to and from Driver's Ed last night. It was only sort of scary. Some chick kept tailgating me, though, over speed bumps.
And then I drove too slow up a hill and there was a LONG line of cars behind me.
But it was fun, so that's cool.
Next stop: Wal-mart!
I can't decide whether I want to buy the Rent (movie) soundtrack or the new Classic Crime album.
I can get The Silver Cord off iTunes for $10, and the Rent soundtrack is $17 or so, but I really want to put all the Rent stuff on my ipod and listen to it nonstop. Plus, I haven't listened to The Silver Cord yet and I know what I'm getting if I buy the Rent soundtrack.
Decisions, decisions.
Perceivers suck.

No, YOU'RE the bestest!

I've read almost 3 Madison Finns in the past 12 hours. Sort of overloaded on friend drama, boys, phrases like "cooler than cool" and "sweeter than sweet", and IM talk (OMG! DTS?).
"The Baby Borrowers" was good last night, but Luke's mom was such a loser. Sasha got frustrated with the baby, but she didn't hurt him or anything. Sure, she could've dealt with it differently, but Luke's mom was like, "Oh, Luke kept crying, so you didn't do anything right and you obviously weren't trying. You were the worst parents of all."
She obviously hasn't met Daton and Morgan.
So Sasha flipped out and started cussing that mom out and I felt so bad for her. The whole point of the evaluation is to have the parents tell the kids what they did wrong and right and give them CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM and ADVICE for next time. Luke's mom did neither. So my dad was like, "Sasha shouldn't have yelled at her," and I was like, "Didn't you hear ANYTHING the mom even said?" Sure, she shouldn't have yelled either, but she was right to object to the mom's ridiculously unfair judgements.
Austin turns out to be a good dad, even if he doesn't like kids. He put the twins in time out and they told him they were done crying. The parents really liked himm, too. Kelly is SOOOO annoying. He should dump her.
Alicea turned out to be a good mom, too, even after last week, and Isaiah, the kid she had, was SOOOO CUTE. Then Alicea was crying because she missed her mom and Isaiah was like, "She's coming back in a minute. She's just getting ready." It made me cry. Then Isaiah continued to do cute things, like go bowling, jump on the bed, and ask Corey if he was "the best guy".
I get how Morgan feels about her mom and everything, but she was kind of super annoying this time around. She did good with the older daughter, but not so great with Colton, who peed on the couch. And she's sort of a slacker.
I still think Sasha and Jordan are the best couple.
Kelsey and Sean are getting better. Sean is less of a jerk now, and he seems to really bond with all of the kids. Kelsey is so annoying, though. She's really needy and passive and stuff.
Austin is passive, too, which he attributes to his Southern upbringing. Whatever, just tell your girlfriend to shut up. Or dump her.
I just read "Kissing Kate", a book I'd contemplated reading since 6th grade, and it was good (Lauren Myracle's first book, and it was better than all her others), but I just wanted Lissa to get what she wanted. So it wasn't a SAD ending, but it wasn't a fully HAPPY ending, like with Hilary Frank's "I Can't Tell You". The main character was happy, but he hadn't gotten the girl. :(
AAAAH I also found Nick Hornby's "A Long Way Down", which I've been wanting to read since 7th grade when Mrs. Moon reccomended it to us. I really CANNOT wait to read it.
But now I'm on a Harry Potter binge. So far I'm on the second book, which is taking me a while to finish, but I got #'s 4 and 5 at the library in PAPERBACK!! SWEET!!! I wasn't so lucky with #6, but you can't have everything.
I also just read "Unbelievable". I accidentally saw the surprise ending when I was flipping through to find out how many pages were in it, so I knew who A was about halfway through the book. Oh well. It's the best one in the series so far. There were a lot of twists. Sara Shepard might be a LITTLE overrated, but she's definitely a good writer. Who knew Hannah would become human? Aria I think is my favorite, though. I kept cheering for Emily and Maya, but that fell through. :( Then Trista was there for a little while...so it was all very confusing.
It annoys me, though, that Republicans are always rich, white homophobes in those books. Yes, there are SOME like that, but it's such a stereotype and it's pretty offensive to read about. Yes, offensive. They're often sort of "religious", too, and you know what that means. It's just annoying.
