"Paris, Je T'aime" is good every time.
My mom and I watched Jayden and Natalie for a couple hours so Natalie could go shopping. It was pretty funy. Jayden is really smart, and copies everything you say. We watched "Blue's Clues" today, and I really miss it. It was good to see an old-school episode with Steve, rather than creepy creepster Joe, who ruined the show with his celebrity guest stars and blue and orange color combo.
Jayden agrees.
Then we played with Maddie and watched "Oliver and Company" while eating Bunny Crackers.
So. Friday night.
Instead of going to the youth group BBQ, I'm sitting at home.
I blame Sierra.
Sort of.
She said she didn't feel like going, and I don't blame her, cuz I've only felt that way myself a billion times.
But still. I was sort of pumped until all my friends bailed.
There are still the very defined "groups" in youth group.
And since mine would be nonexistent for this event, I didn't feel like going and trying to join another one.
Not like they're cliquey and would turn their back.
But, because I'm a socially awkward failure, I would feel complete awkward and stupid and moronic for sort of forcing people to hang out with me because I had no one.
And I'd feel BEYOND stupid if someone took pity on me and decided to hang out with me then.
Yeah. Definite ego booster, that.
But I still feel like I'm missing out.
Ugh. It's been bugging me since Wednesday, when I found I didn't have a ride in the first place.
So I've been feeling sorry for myself since then.
But that's not a new occurrence or anything.
SARK is the coolest! Her book on writing was actually helpful and, dare I say it, inspiring! And it was funny to read it and have the overall tone be, "Yeah, so I write in gigantic color markers all over the page. SO WHAT?"
Very cool.
"House of Leaves" is actually doing a good job at freaking me out.
"Stick it" was pretty funny.
Good books and movies all around.

You can take the girl out of Hicksville, but you can't take the Hicksville out of the girl
So true.
Better days at school.
My dad thinks I have an eating disorder, though.
Please. It's not like I'm throwing up my breakfast on PURPOSE.
But mixed messages abound. It's getting really annoying.
It sucks to be melancholic and everything, but phlegmatics are just as annoying...in uniquely different ways.
Tyler and I did our England presentation today. Finally. At least it's out of the way. It might not have been 5 minutes, but at least it was 15 minutes like this one group, who stuttered painfully and paused for minutes in between topics.
And we weren't boring.
And we argued during it, which "caught people's attention".
But when we were done, people only had questions about the London Eye, the world's biggest ferris wheel.
Only that. And we couldn't answer them all.
Poor Maricel. She has to do it all by herself.
So we'll help her with the chocolate chip scones. Mmmm...
"They're supposed to be bitter!"
British people eat crappy food.
And don't like Jesus.
RENT! I love Anthony Rapp. Except for his icky goatee.
And Jesse L. Martin. He has a nice goatee.
And Wilson Jermaine Heredia's goatee looks pretty nice. HE is nice.
We're starting a poetry unit in English. It's a lot better than I thought it would be. Edgar A. Guest is totally cheesy and kind of lame, but I love Langston Hughes, Anne Sexton, and Mary Oliver. "Wild Geese" made me cry.
We have to pick a topic, find 5 poems that support that topic, write 2 of our own, and then present them to the class. One of them was "On the Edge", and I don't want to be melodramatic about it, because my poetry tends to be, but there was a poem in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" that fits the theme perfectly.
That one was sad, too.
The guy who wrote "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" also wrote the screenplay for "Rent".
No wonder I liked that book so much.

Singles Awareness Day: Why meet people when you can mope?
I didn't mope. Much. Valentine's Day was all right.
And there was MUCH chocolate.
My dad got these Black Forest Truffle squares, I decorated a pink-frosted chocolate cake, we bought Ovaltine powder from Fred Meyer...(mmmmm....XP)...good times.
I'm listening to "Happiness Is A Warm Gun", and it got to the part where Joe Anderson is administered Naked Girl drugs by Salma Hayek...and I have nothing deep to say about that. I was just thinking about it, and how high he manages to sing. Good song.
I'm a Beatles convert. My dad got two giant Beatles anthologies from us for his birthday and they have EVERYTHING: "She Loves You", "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da", "The Ballad of John and Yoko", "Get Back", "Hey Jude"...and it's all great.
So, yeah, "Magical Mystery Tour" still sucks, but their hundreds of other songs are pretty fantastic.
And it's fun to listen to stuff like "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and go, "MAX! LUCY! ACROSS THE UNIVERSE!! NOOOOOOO WAY! SHE CAME IN THROUGH THE BATHROOM WINDOW!"
Gabrielle Zevin is so wonderful. She's so clever and funny and I love how she writes.
Michele Jaffe is a riot. I got first pick from the new stuff in the Teen Section at the library and SCORE! "Kitty Kitty" AND the next book in the Echo Falls series!!!! YESSSS!
Just...everything.
"The Jane Austen Book Club" wasn't that great a book. Maybe I just don't appreciate it enough, but I loved the movie and felt way more for it than I could ever feel for the book, which was sort of confusing and boring and had nothing to do with anything.
Awesome.

She's a ho! My dad's been kidnapped by a ho!
Elizabeth Gaskell apparently succeeded in creating the first Victorian soap opera.
My mom, my brother, and I just finished watching the BBC adaptation of "Wives and Daughters", and it was really good (like everything BBC has done), but some of it was...a little disappointing, I guess.
Or maybe just confusing.
Or perhaps a little maddening.
Take Roger for instance. Molly is completely in love for YEARS while he runs around discovering bugs, tramping through Africa, getting engaged to her slutty stepsister, and falling off cliffs.
Then he FINALLY comes home after everyone has had secret French love children, broken off their engagement, or died.
And all of a sudden, he likes Molly.
He's at this party when Molly comes in and he's like, "Ooooooh...Molly's looking hot this season."
But she has a date, so she spends all her time with him instead and her friends rub it in Roger's face!! It's pretty sweet.
But they end up together, because it wouldn't be a happy ending if they didn't.
And I'm glad they ended up together.
But he took 3 YEARS to come around, and was completely oblivious to the fact that this girl was following him around because she's MADLY IN LOVE WITH HIM.
He just thought they were really excellent "friends".
And the fact that he went and engaged himself to Cynthia, who was shallow and had absolutely NO interest in him or any of the things he liked, while Molly had A LOT in common with him.
And it must have been a tip-off when Cynthia wouldn't answer any of his letters, but Molly wrote him a million and asked questions about bugs. Fun times.
But no. Roger remained blissfully unaware until Molly got hot and he came down with scarlet fever.
Moron.
And Mr. Preston was a little creepy, but he sincerely loved Cynthia, who was, as they called her, a "Jilting Jesse". Poor guy.
It's not his fault.
And yeah, he was a little stalker-y...but he gave her back the letters.
We're going to watch "Sense and Sensibility" today. Because they haven't made any more Elizabeth Gaskell movies, but Jane Austen has hundreds of potentially crappy flicks for us to watch.
Not that she's a bad writer; she's great.
But today's filmmakers don't always do her justice.
By the way, screw the Brontes. They were boring.

Maureen Johnson: bisexual performance artist or best-selling novelist?
When I saw books by "Maureen Johnson" at the library, I started screaming, because that's the name of Idina Menzel's character in "Rent".
I thought it was either a STRANGE coincidence or some rabid Renthead had gone a little too far in the search for a good pen name.
But no, it was just a strange coincidence.
How is it that she writes a meaningful true-to-life book like "The Bermudez Triangle" one day and shovels out crap like "Suite Scarlett", "13 Little Blue Envelopes", and "Girl At Sea" the next?
"The Key to the Golden Firebird" was all right.
I've never read "Devilish". Must be new.
She also had a new book come out where she cowrites with John Green (author of "Looking for Alaska" and "An Abundance of Katherines", which was pure genius) and Lauren Myracle (author of "Kissing Kate" and "TTYL", who isn't fantastic but isn't bad either). I was so tempted NOT to buy it.
But, for John Green, I might.
Truman Capote. "A Christmas Memory" was beautiful. And I'm not saying that from a stuffy, artsy, "I go to CK and am in Extra-AP English" point of view.
But this is the first story of his I've read and he managed to break my heart in 6 pages.
Oh no. It's about the devil.
I'm already reading "The Host".
I don't think I can handle any more talk about souls and devils and love and crap.
Jesse L. Martin is fantastic.
"Momma's Boys" was entertaining at first, but ultimately disheartening. Jojo's mom, Mrs. B, ended up being REALLY racist and all the non-white girls started crying, and their estrogen traveled through the TV and made me and my mom start crying.

Sacrifice one...
...for the lives of many.
Seriously, it was the only way.
Barton could let Marilyn stay, rather than sending her out into her doom, but then they both would have died, and they would wouldn't have gotten to the sick men in time, resulting in a total of 8 deaths.
He also could have sacrificed himself, but then MARILYN would have had to fly the ship, and the EDS was on a tight schedule, so why would it be good to kill yourself for one girl when other people need you?
And Marilyn was a STOWAWAY, which is pretty much ILLEGAL, and for which the stowaway was condemned to death in the law.
So maybe it wasn't completely fair, but there were consequences for the choice she made.
Although she WAS a really nice person and didn't deserve to have her lungs ripped through her chest.
Argh argh argh. So kind of a crappy day.
I'm having MAJOR PMS.
That, and the weather is crappy and Washington-like, and I'm still sick, and I went to the orthodontist and I'll be wearing these retainers for-freaking-ever, and we had the LAMEST assembly during advisory today.
Uggggh.
But I'm mostly mad about the stupid orthodontist thing. AAAAARGH IT'S BEEN 6 FREAKING YEARS SINCE I STARTED "TREATMENT" I WANT TO BE DONE!!
But noooooooooooo, I have to wear these retainers for another 8 MONTHS.
If braces are so expensive, why did my parents MAKE me get them if they need the money?
And if they didn't need the money then, they could have at least gotten me a pony.
Stop Global Warming...
...or all the Reese's will melt!

Lifelong happiness or hot babes?
Really now, if you were blind and were dying of a terminal illness, and your girlfriend brought you a cure, but it could only cure one of the two things, which would you choose?
Because being able to see is all well and good, but if you died a month later, WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT?
Wouldn't you rather live with your significant other as a healthy man (or woman, but whatever) for the rest of your life, even though you can't see anything?
It kind of relates to, "It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all," but that's such utter bullcrap. Well, I guess it all depends on how you look at it, and you can have your own opinion, but when your true love dies and you spent such a short time together, I'd rather have never loved than be all alone remembering my now DEAD partner and all the wonderful times we shared...forever and ever.
Dude, Vera Chapman was so COOL!!
Not only did she write "The Three Damosels" (which I am enjoying immensely), but she founded the first Tolkien Society...and convinced J. R. R. Tolkien himself to join!!!
And then her book "The King's Damsel" was the book the movie "Quest for Camelot" was based on!!! NO WAY!!! That is so AWESOME!!
I thought the name Ruber sounded familiar. AAAAH!
I just finished "The King's Damsel", and that's where I got the above question.
That brings up another interesting question, though: if you had to be blind, deaf, or mute, which would you be?
I'd pick mute, because I'd still be able to communicate in various ways, and it would still be possible for me to read and hear music.

The FBI can't cover this up!!
Usually when a book is given a lot of media coverage or wins some prestigious award, people often try to cover up the voices of those who did not like said book.
Popular examples: "Eragon" and "Shades of Gray"
But I couldn't find one person who didn't like "Romiette and Julio".
Until I went on Amazon.
ALL of the reviews are 1 star!
SERIOUSLY!!
I never thought people would actually agree with me, but these people have the EXACT same problems with the book that I do. The hot sauce! The dialogue! The lack of subtlety! The "epic" teen romance!
I'm really enjoying reading these reviews right now.
And some of them are really mean! In a funny way!
My favorite is the one by Bob McBobberson.
But one of the reviews is rather confusing because she gave the book a one, but then went on her review to say she really enjoyed it and thought it was BETTER than the REAL "Romeo and Juliet".
Oh. No. You. Didn't. You have no idea how annoyed that makes me.
I know that Shakespeare is hard to understand, but when you actually TRY to understand what the characters are saying and/or use a translation while reading the play, you'll see that Shakespeare CAN write and DOES know what he's talking about. Argh. That's all I'm going to say.
Okay, so I'M stupid. I was on the 1-star review page. Ooooh. Most of the reviews are 5-star. :P

I parked your car because I'm NICE!
Okay, so I love Fourth of July and everything, but it was REALLY NICE to take a break from the annual family reunion picnic and stay home for a while.
Seriously. I spent maybe 3 hours at the picnic and then went home and watched movies with Tie and my Dad.
It was kind of weird being home alone, but Tie was sedated, therefore cooperative, and Dad came home early, and with him was a pizza he'd made at work.
Then we watched "Last Holiday" and "Material Girls" and both movies kind of sucked.
"Last Holiday" wasn't too bad, because Queen Latifah is the best, but it was SOOOOO cheesy.
And, you know, "Material Girls" was...yeah.
I'm reading some writing I did like last year or something, and it doesn't suck. It's sort of suffering from Paolinitis, but it's really NOT HORRIBLE, and that makes me pretty happy.
Heh. Silas.
"Last Comic Standing" and "The Baby Borrowers" make TV pretty fun to watch.
On TBB, my mom totally hated Morgan, but I kind of knew where she was coming from. We both hated Alicea, though; what is her problem? Etta was SOO CUTE. But that weird guy kept calling the babies "bugs"? "Okay, now take your little bug..."
LCS last week made me SOOOO mad. They chose 4 of the least funny people from the entire group and let them go through. Especially Jeff Dye and that blonde guy. HATE! But Paul Foot is rather hilarious. This week was better. Louis got a standing ovation,a nd Eliza Sussinger made it, which made me happy. I like Esther Ku, but my mom despises her because she's not very "experience". Whatever, she's funny.

Fall Out Boy marathon!
Today in science, rather than write detailed steps of the combustion procedure on a piece of notebook paper, I typed a bunch of Fall Out Boy lyrics on my calculator. Then I realized I don't know that many.
Dad and I ditched first service yesterday and went to Starbucks.
He bought me hot chocolate that tasted like dirty beans.
The whipped cream was good.
Wendy's has the best burgers by far. They're square, juicy, and delicious.
They changed up the Frosty menu, though.
Now it's not just plain old chocolate Frosties. There are Frosty shakes, Twisted Frosties (Frosties in various flavors with various sweet things, such as M&M's and cookie dough mixed in), and VANILLA Frosties!!!
That's just not right.
I hate it when you try to take quizzes and it turns out they want your name and address.
Lemon Lime Stride is THE BEST!
Or maybe it's Orbit.
I have to go check.
DUDE, I'M WRITING A "HARVEST MOON" FANFIC!!! YEAAAH! It's sappy and lame (hey, it's a fanfic), but I'm having fun, and it's not as though anyone's going to read it.
And, despite what Amby thinks, it's not crude, unlike the "Baby Mama Drama" story.
Heh.
Mrs. Sims won't let us watch "Romeo and Juliet" anymore. I wanted to see Mercutio (and Tybalt) die!
So Nathan took us to Coldstone??
That's how I roll.
No, that's what I ordered.
No more track! Janessa, Allie, and I are the only 9th graders that didn't qualify for Districts.
That sucks.
BUt then again...NO MORE TRACK.
You Are a Sweet Person |
When it comes to snacks, you're more likely to grab some candy than heat up a pizza. There's a good chance you're female (women prefer sweet snacks)... Or at least, you prefer to be in the company of women. Your tastes are simple and predictable. You are young at heart. You tend to crave food you can just grab and eat. |

FM Static's lyrics cure clinical depression.
We're still learning about mental disorders and depression in health, and it's...well, depressing. We had to learn about Ryan (who looked a lot like Egg from Madison Finn), who was extroverted and friendly but took two bottles of sleeping pills and died. They said he had problems at home but never said what they were, and when the interviewed the parents, they seemed to go around that topic.
Later, we discussed gay rats in science. We asked Mr. Henrichsen if he thought people were born gay or early experiences made them gay. Mr. Henrichsen mentioned a test where they cut off testosterone for baby boy rats and those rats presented themselves sexually to other males. That sort of supports both cases, if you think about it, but I'm confused. How do the babies get the testosterone? What causes the testosterone to stop in real life, creating "gay" people?
Ooooh, I remember when John Kerry said that thing about Dick Cheney's daughter.
This article is a bit redundant. And not at all helpful.
Writing WASL today!! Got to skip 3 periods!! But I missed a math test, which isn't good.
All right, fine, it's PARTLY a choice.
Hm, I like this girl.
Chuck E. Cheese on the 27th!!! w00t!

Woundwort introduced
"Watership Down" is good, but it's taking me a long time to finish it. Speaking of long books, I started "Dreamcatcher" and it's surprisingly good. Yeah, I know, I'm actually enjoying a Stephen King book. I'm only on page 49, though. I hope it's not about aliens. Aliens are lame. I mean, "Independence Day".
I think every day should be a half day. I had most of my hard classes today, but it was pretty enjoyable. All we did in French was conjugate French verbs and walk around the school saying, "Elle entre l'ecole, il entre l'ecole, il entre l'ecole, elle entre l'ecole."
I really think Mrs. Sims hates me. She sure acts like it. And why does she want me to work harder? When I do work really hard, she gets mad at me. Man, I have so much homework from her class. Aaaargh.
Math was pretty fun. Class discussions and what not. Group work is semi fun. Jessica wasn't there, tho, so I was on my own in a sense. But I get math. This is so weird.
Aaaaagh I made cookies using the recipe from the Magic Cookbook, but they taste gross. At least, I think so. My mom and William both said they were amazing. I don't know, they're way too sweet to me and they're crunchy, which is nasty.
I like this shirt. Very turquoisey.

My life is a Sarah Dessen novel.
No, seriously, read "The Truth About Forever" and you will see some startling similarities. Aaaagh, alliteration. Okay, maybe I'm the only one seeing them, because Macy (main character) is a BLONDE perfectionist/fast runner, and her dad died, bla bla bla, now her boyfriend's at Brain Camp.... It was pretty drama-y but really nice. Better than that stupid, boring "Keeping the Moon" book (what was up with that? I couldn't finish it) and "Someone like You" (not too bad, I liked it). But this one made me way jealous of a fictitious character. I'm not sure if that's allowed. And it had written IN WORDS exactly what has been driving me insane. Not exactly a clinical diagnosis, but Sarah Dessen IS an award-winning author. Aaargh, Chelsea has another book by her and it has an ipod on the cover. Jealous, I want it.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF "THE MASQUE OF RED DEATH"? Prince throws party, Red Death shows up, and screws everyone over. Yaaay. I know it's supposed to symbolize tuberculosis and whatnot, but it's way boring and not scary at all.
"The Fall of the House of Usher" freaked me out. I was like, "Um, wth, why did you bury your sister?" And I totally did not get the fact that Roderick was a drug addict? What? When did that happen?
Drake is playing the tuba? I am apprehensive about this happening. That means he has to sit by me in my section. Dang it. How will I bother Kevin and Robert now? No more "Are you Nervous". No more mouthpiece stealing. No more making Mr. Faxon mad. Never mind. There will be plenty of that, I'm sure.
FIRE DRILL! I love fire drills. I hate French. I'm failing science. I sort of understand math. My life has turned upside-down.
WHAT IS THE ANSWER TO THE CLUE, TYLER??? It has something to do with "turning back the clock" and past clues. Okay, you know the clue I posted yesterday? Go to these websites and tell me what the similarity is. Actually, just start here and move up from there.

Forced copulation? What is this, SVU???
I just read "The Murders at the Rue Morgue". That story is messed up. Want me to spoil it? Well, it involves an orangutan. And a razor blade.
So I went on wikipedia to check up on orangutans to see if this behavior was likely, and, um, WTH??? Male orangutans sometimes attack females and FORCE COPULATION!!! Whaaaa??? How come people are always dissing mankind and how we should just go back to nature when there are animals out in the rainforest RAPING EACH OTHER?????
"The Black Cat" is messed up, too.
HAHAHAHAHA, I solved THREE of Tyler's clues in one day. Now I'm stuck again. Help me out.
different views i have of myself
three to be exact
parallel to each other
nestled in between
to know where your going
you must know where you've been
just remember, it only gets harder
what am i?
I tried man and time, but those didn't work.
Do do do do.
Ew. That story just way grossed me out. I'm seriously considering throwing up.

The Story of Noseless Billy
Well, I finally beat Tyler's riddle. Turns out you had to translate it to French? So the answer was eye, which I had guessed. Now I'm trying to figure out something about giant ants??? Help me out:
1998, ants attacked the minds of young children....
but where limited to the cathode ray tube
scifi still hosts thes foul abomonations of obvious continuity errors and use of Deus ex machina. but i ask you one question
whom produced this tale of terror?
Ummmmmm...don't know.
Today was Amanda's birthday, but I forgot and felt bad because I'd told her I would write her a 10-page story, so I started on my masterpiece in French and finished in study hall. The manuscript was entitled "The Story of Noseless Billy", which was about a noseless boy named Billy who went on a quest with his squirrel buddies to find a nose, but after being swallowed by a giant toad and meeting Zac Efron, he discovers true wisdom. Yes. That is my story. Amanda thought it was funny, so I guess that's cool. It had some pretty amazing illustrations, too.
Ah. Eco horror films. How nice.
What? Drake is joining band? I think I'm supposed to be thrilled. Just weirding me out. And he made fun of trombones.
Hahahaha. I hit a high G today with no trouble and Mr. Faxon was like, "Yeah, she just killed your butts."
Micah brought donuts. He's not bad. They were sprinkly.

Do it right this time. *pause* Okay, I messed up.
I love this CD. So cool.
Aaaargh someone stole Tim's book and my book journal yesterday, only it turned out Tyler took Tim's book, but I CAN'T FIND MY BOOK JOURNAL! I had it in the library on top of my stuff and it was NOT there when I went to get it again. Not my fault, though. We could only take a pencil and had to put all our crap on the shelves. :P Oh well. I could always get a new one, but I want to show off my 5/5 on most of my writing assignments.
I'm addicted to "Monk". It's way cool. I'm trying to get my Mom hooked on "Psyche", but we don't get that channel. Aaargh. There's always the library. Yeah right.
Speaking of libraries, the librarian gave me this book that I have no memory of ever holding, and if I did, it was a LOOOONG time ago. Like 7th grade. Kind of odd. But it had my name on it. Weird.
Heh. Science was so cool. I threw a ruler at Drake. But then Mr. Campbell lectured us both about assault. Well, he shouldn't be hitting my nose then.
Jesse needs to time right. Our times were way off. Forget acceleration.
Aaaagh our practice for "Electricity" was so cool. Only I didn't get a stand light. Because they didn't want to plug mine in. Ouch. Kevin, Robert, and I were playing our little band game "Are You Nervous?" It's so awkward and probably illegal and it could be counted as assault to Mr. Campbell, but it's fun in a weird, perverted way. Kevin's really good at it when he's playing with a girl. Interesting.
Math was pretty cool, too. I got Tyler in trouble, but other than that.... Connor had tape on his forehead?
I love crossword puzzles.
I love Fridays.
I WANT A DOG.
And some Fritos.
And some chocolate chip cookies.
I'm almost on chapter 4 in the French book. I don't want to finish this book before the end of the year, but this is ridiculous. I also did all the work up to chapter 4 in the workbook. I'm such a nerd. I had to review chapter 3 today, and it made more sense. Maybe I should review chapters 1-3 and all will be well.
Uh oh. If we aren't to chapter 3 by November 6 I'm reading the end of the book. This is too slow for me.
First lunch today. That was pretty fun. Why is everyone I know in first lunch? Band should have first lunch. Only I'm pretty sure that's hazardous to your instrument.

Let's all become doctors!!
Aaaaagh too much drama in this house. I had two major fights with my dad and then one with my mom this morning. :P It sucks. They're calling me out on a respect issue and complaining all the time. Or at least yesterday.
I do feel pretty bad, and they're actually right, but I don't feel like they're taking any of the blame. Yeah, typical teenage thing to say. Whatever. They're telling me about all this stuff I did and I recall them doing the same thing in this situation. What's up with that? We're supposed to have this big talk today so my dad and I can resolve all our issues. So not looking forward to that, because I'll just explode again and that will mean more "talks", but if I'm all meek and begging to be forgiven, well, that's not honest now, is it? :P Aaargh.
School was actually pretty awesome, tho. I got to skip French (altho I heard they watched a movie. Awww.) and the rest of the day was pretty fun. I learneded!
Yeah. School is amazing. I want to live at school like Harry Potter. And take more than one language.
Yay, I finally got my book journal back, so I got to finish with stupid "Stardust". Ugh, lamest book ever. Well, not lamest, but it was a letdown. I had pretty high expectations for it. "Golden Compass" rocks.
I had to write a thank-you note today. Then everyone else copied it.
Science was cool. Did a lab. Awesome.
Yeaaaaaah, if vampires don't drink blood, what DO they do??
If the movie is better than the book, didn't the author fail? Because you can't make a book from a movie (unless it's one of those junior novelizations). It's sort of implied that if there's a movie being made from it, the book was amazing. I'm thinking of movies that were better than the books.
1. Eragon (sadly, and the movie was pretty awful, but Murtagh was a hottie)
2. Ella Enchanted (sorry)
I guess that's only two examples. As Mrs. Sims would say, not enough evidence. But I was totally looking forward to the transvestite pirate in "Stardust" and I guess that's only in the movie.
Aaaaaagh All-District tonight. Please no, please no. But yes. I'm forced to go. I have the sudden urge to dance to "All For One". That's like my new favorite song. Besides "Earthquake".

That was weird. Let's not speak of that again.
I just finished 2 Pony Pals and "Twisted". "Twisted" wasn't bad, and a lot better than other Laurie Halse Anderson books. Kind of depressing. The ending was funny, though. Kind of open ended. I'll never be forgiven for the trouser snake, tho.
Wow. Lars Ulrich has a pretty good voice.
Eh. Today was a Friday. It was nice, tho, cuz someone hooked all the Office T.A.'s up with some candy. I had like 3 Snickers.
And I made cookies. Some are all flat and some turned out perfect?
I love the Cosby Show.
Mr. Campbell wanted to know why I wasn't in Advanced Science. Let's see, um, I HATE SCIENCE. "But you're really good at math." Yeah, I still hate science.
Mrs. Sims called me out on my laziness and is making me do another book for my book journal. She lectures a lot, but she's a good teacher. I'm thinking Dickens.
Band is pretty good. We suck, though. Mr. Faxon always says stuff about how the people in last year's advanced band were sooooo mean. I disagree, and even if that's true, we were GOOD. We played WELL. Niceness doesn't make a band. We have a concert some day...some time.... I don't think we can get "Electricity" down by then. "Amazing Grace" and "Glasgow Sketches" are going great.
Luke is bored. I am bored. Yeah.

Kind of makes you feel a little dirty, don't it?
Aaaah. Science. Creepy things. I don't even want to talk about them. But they really make you want to take a nice, long, cold shower. Ewwww I feel so unclean.
I saw Coach Cline in 5th period. She was subbing for art.
I kind of messed up on a printing job. I felt really stupid, and I didn't exactly get comfort, but I'm kind of glad I'm not being coddled. I just like that word. Coddled. It was STUPID, tho.
Then I bought rice for Mrs. Preecha.
Band, we got a new piece that we're borrowing from one of the high schools. Because Mr. Faxon didn't want to buy it. I hit a high G 4 times!
Tyler has really gross hair. I'm trying to decide who he looks more like, a blonde Fabio or Cary Elwes.
I PASSED THE MATH QUIZ! 100%! But I can't do the homework. So I'll just not do it....
Today didn't feel like a Thursday. And it still doesn't. I LOVE THURSDAYS!
Yes, another good day.
I'm pretty sure I passed the vocab quiz. I didn't study at all, but Chelsea lent me her notes.
FRENCH IS AWESOME! I read ahead about 15 pages in the French book and I understood ALL OF IT! But then I got into the next chapter and I didn't get it at all. Heh. I have an affinity.
Darn.
BOO STEPHENIE MEYER!
I'm sorry, but I honestly can't stand her. And I don't see why everyone loves her so much.

| You Could Not Be a Vampire |
Sorry, but you're not just cut out for flesh eating, turning into a bat, and living forever. But that's okay. The sight of blood turns your stomach... without even thinking of drinking it. And while you definitely would never be a vampire, you're exactly the type of frail prey Dracula wannabe's crave. Maybe it's time to arm yourself with a cross and some nasty garlic breath! What you would like best about being a vampire: The raw power (though you wouldn't admit it to anyone) What you would like least about being a vampire: The whole killing thing |

D-I-G, that's all your gonna be GOOD FOR. Now what does that spell?
Aah, "Holes". I remember that movie. And how everyone was all obsessed with it. That was one bandwagon I did not jump on to. To this day, I still hate that movie. The book's all right, but I never read the sequel.
So I stayed home sick today because I am a wimp. A wimp that can't breathe. I didn't exactly do much today, nor did I take a fantastic trip inside myself to find who I really am, though I did discover that I am an angry person, my father is incapable of closing doors, and that my mom is slowly trying to ruin my wardrobe. She has accidentally destroyed three shirts after washing them with William's karate uniform. ARGH. I didn't like one of them, but one of them made me look at least somewhat female, and the other had a slogan that described me with utmost accuracy.
Yes. Bloo is dead.
I don't think Christian authors are allowed to have a sense of humor or refer to the trouser snake. At least authors of frothy teenage Christian fiction. Altho I like the "Brio Girls" series. Those books made me cry.

She has accidentally destroyed three shirts after washing them with William's karate uniform. ARGH.
