How come, when guys want to "go on a walk", they think of it as exercise, though it's technically "hanging out" cuz you'll be walking TOGETHER?
When girls want to go on a walk, it's to TALK.
And girls don't care about the destination. They'll walk ANYWHERE as long as they get to share about their day and how they feel.
Guys go with a specific destination in mind and THEY WILL NOT BE DETERRED FROM THEIR MISSION.
Guys take off their T-shirts differently. Girls pull up the bottom, while guys pull at the back of the neck.
I don't know. It's just weird.
I lost a bet with my history teacher.
I thought I'd heard something about Catholics being the most prevalent Christian religion in America.
Actually, it turns out they're the most prevalent Christian religion in the WORLD, which is different.
So I bought him a Gatorade.
When I say that I bought it, I mean my mom did.
But that's okay! A Gatorade's a Gatorade!
Ugh. Sort of sick of friend couples.
Either they're completely disgusting and irritating.
Or they're one of THOSE couples.
The ones that, before dating, made a big deal about how they were going to stay "just friends". Um, right.
Or the ones that only want to be with each other.
Irritating as all get out.
And everyone just thinks it's a "bitter cuz I'm single" thing!
Noooo, it's a, "Hey, you know how you piss me off? It started when you two started dating," thing.
Aaaargh! Dating friends just shouldn't be allowed!
Oh no, now the courting fiends are going to come back and make a case for arranged marriage. Somebody save us!

Truly evil people will FAKE A BABY'S DEATH!
I was watching "All My Children" today, although it was hard to concentrate because my mom was LAUGHING SO HARD.
Admittedly, it was pretty funny.
"They took Matthew...I mean, Trevor. And they faked the baby's death! But his mother will only get custody if she moves in with the crazy father! GASP!"
Fun fun fun.
No, I didn't go to school. School isn't even out yet.
I got out of the shower and smelled something iffy, and all of a sudden, there's this uncontrollable gag reflex. So I kind of passed out on the bed and my mom agreed there was nothing important I was going to miss at school today.
Although my history teacher would have pitched a fit.
He probably did. He'll probably yell at me all day tomorrow.
Whatever. He is SO full of it.
He made a big deal about how much he loves America, and then went on to describe the reasons he hates it.
Yeah, it made a lot of sense.
So that class sucks, but Chemistry ended up being awesome!
Mr. Daniel told us a story about aliens that shot three pieces of paper, which couldn't have just been litter. No, there was a message, which he revealed with ammonia or something.
Then he showed us his squirt bottle, AKA "No-Doze", and it had at least 50 tally marks of students he'd woken with it.
Ha. You're going DOWN, Emory.
Math looks all right. Mrs. Erickson is pretty chill about homework and whatnot. WE DON'T HAVE TO TURN IN NOTES. AND I have that class with a BUNCH of my friends.
Band's all right. We were playing pep today and I missed it. Maybe we'll play at the assembly tomorrow...
There's a cute girl in my history class who may or may not be a foreign exchange student. Hmmmm...
Women's Studies might be okay once we get started. But Innovative Fitness is hopelessly boring when you're forced to listen to lectures about excercising rather than actually doing it.
Argh. Now I'm addicted to Farkle, peppermints, and Milk Duds. I'm definitely going to like it when PE actually starts up. Ryan made fun of me for taking the class, though. He told me it was "shameful". Which it is. It's mostly girls...but there are 2 guys. They look scared, excited, and bored out of their minds.
Blah. It was the most boring day of school I've ever had.
Hopefully this year will get better...but there's football on Saturday! How could I forget!
But we have to sacrifice a virgin to our star quarterback. It's the only way to keep him happy.
Hopefully it won't be me. I'll be busy.

F my life.
They changed my schedule AGAIN.
So they pretty much eliminated any chance of my having classes with friends.
I won't be seeing at least 6 of my friends all year long.
It's pretty frustrating.
Chemistry, math, and history, which tend to be my worst classes, take up the first three periods.
And the teachers seem pretty nice.
But I kind of wanted to be in a bad mood about this year.
They switched up the band schedule, so I wasn't able to take my first choice of English.
Then, all of a sudden, I'm thrown out of my second choice into Women's Studies.
WOMEN'S STUDIES!!!!!
THAT class, however, seems like it might be pretty entertaining. The teacher is pretty funny and nice, and I've heard stories about her. Funny ones.
And PE is full of other lazy teenage girls who want to do Pilates and yoga. AWESOME.
But STILL!! AAAAARGH!
I don't have classes with practically ANY band kids!
Neither with my best friend, but whatever, I guess I've been replaced. Understandable, but lamentable all the same. And irritating. But whatever.
AAAAAAAAARGH, but for some reason, I have LOTS of classes with an overly amorous male aquaintance.
NOT INTERESTED. THANKS.
It's going to be one of those years.
I was hoping to keep boy drama to a minimum. Looks like that's not going to happen.
But friend drama...I guess I'm safe in that department because I'll HAVE NO FRIENDS.
And grades? Who knows. All the teachers seem fairly reasonable.
But I was kind of depressed walking into history. Because I realized any chance of my EVER having Mr. Walker as a teacher flew out the window.
Unless I fail Chemistry and take it next year.
There is nowhere I can turn, there is no way to go oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!
Darn. Javert is dead. The only thing left to look forward to is Marius' moving solo.
Well, that, and a rousing chorus of "Do You Hear the People Sing?"
I just realized: I HATE the song "Turning". Stupid stupid stupid. Of course they're dead. You could sound a little less happy about it!

Multitasking is not allowed.
Yeah, thanks.
I probably shouldn't complain about my internet when I'm making it more difficult by having 6 windows open at a time. Ha HA!
Mr. Kovacs always said it was impossible to multitask, because you can't have your full attention on more than one thing at once, so you're just flipping back and forth between projects while subconciously doing others.
And he didn't reccomend it, because you ended up doing a sloppy job on everything.
But who cares?
Anyway, he was supposed to teach me math, not life lessons.
And he taught math rather well.
And I was surprised to find he was an Anti-Gore conservative.
Not to mention a Christian! Cool!
So is another math teacher at Oly, but I haven't had him yet...and I don't want him. :P
My mom and I had a really good talk about stuff. William's at Great Wolf Lodge with a friend and Dad's in THE ZONE, so he doesn't feel like socializing.
In fact, he's MULTITASKING by listening to a recording of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" while painting William's room a girly shade of red.
William doesn't know yet.
But my mom read an article in Christianity Today that made a case for early marriage.
Because your bodies are ready to make babies and most guys are just going to go out and bang someone anyway.
Um...okay?
And then the author said stuff that sort of contradicted his argument.
Like, there's a shortage of young Christian men.
....
All right, but doesn't that mean you should wait.
No, his point was you need to snatch one up before another girl gets him.
Oh. Well, that's comforting. No pressure.
And he didn't hold guys to any standard whatsoever.
Cuz, you know, guys need to get it out SOMEhow.
But that's not really fair.
If a guy messes up ("I just couldn't help it!"): Aw, shucks. Well, at least you tried. We know how HARD it was for you.
If a girl messes up ("I just couldn't help it!"): What do you MEAN you couldn't help it? You should have prayed! You obviously don't trust God enough! Harlot!
My dad gets mad whenever I say this because he thinks I'm taking a feminist approach and am being unfair to young men, because it's harder for them.
Yeah. And it is harder.
But it's also true that a young Christian man "made a mistake", but a young Christian girl will be forgiven, but can never get her virginity back.
I don't know. There's more emphasis put on a girl's virginity and how vastly important it is.
That word isn't used as much around guys. The focus is just "staying pure" in general.
It might not sound like a big difference, but it is.
Argh, and the stupid Catholic argument against birth control still drives me insane!
Onan spilled his semen because he was selfish and knew the kid he fathered wouldn't be considered his; it would be his brother's kid.
It's not as if he was like, "Oh, well, I don't think I'm financially ready to have a child! And my career's just taking off, and I don't feel like staying home and raising kids, not to mention changing diapers."
And how Catholics think birth control is "evil" and "sinning", but other Christians look down on it, because the couple using it "obviously doesn't trust God enough NOT to give him a child". "He's in charge of your fertility, isn't he? Why can't you trust that he WON'T give you a kid?"
That's a fairly valid point, but it's also like saying, "You have cancer and you're STILL taking chemo? Don't you trust that God will heal you without all that?"
Why WOULDN'T you take efforts to heal yourself??
And you wouldn't want to take a chance if you're UNABLE to care for this child, like, gee, struggling financially? Or already have A BILLION KIDS?
And some couples feel convicted, that God has planned for them to have a *cough* LARGE number of children.
But that's not the case for everyone.
Argh. It seems like I can't post anymore without it becoming a crazy emotional rant of some kind about "beliefs" and "what it means to be American"...
...or something to that degree.
I think.
I need to get it out! Otherwise, my brain will explode!
Today was...a REALLY good day.
Except for it suddenly getting really hot in the little kid's room. And it was pretty stifling in the gym.
But I was in a strangely good mood today. Like...giddy and bubbly. Rather strange.
Anyway, we went down to Kidstuf and sang songs (which the kids hated and refused to dance to while all the teens dance maniacally) and explained what happened on the trip.
It seemed a TAD pointless (most of them were in 1st grade and none of them were listening...), but it was fun.
Then lunch, with the sun shining, then girl talk, and such.
I don't know. Good day.
Okay, there's more: another rant coming up.
My mom and I were still on the subject of marriage when we got onto compatibility, and it turns out COMPATIBIILITY DOESN'T MATTER.
Because, while it might help, even a relationship between two "soul mates" won't work if they're not willing to put in the effort.
Ha, like Pastor Barry. "Love isn't a feeling. It's hard work!"
And relationships between "incompatible" couples end up turning into amazing, loving marriages.
Like, gee...my parents? Exact opposites.
Oh, and my grandparents.
Which sort of debunks the theory that my "soulmate" is an ENFJ.
Oh well.
Which means I'll end up marrying an ESTJ.
YES!!!
Awwwww......this quote is sort of adorable.
Or possibly the cutest thing I've heard in a long time.
"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." -Dr. Seuss

STRENGTHS FINDER!! FIND YOUR STRENGTHS!
My mom bought "Strengths Finder 2.0" and I just took the test.
My top 5 strengths are:
1. Adaptability
2. Empathy
3. Intellection
4. Connectedness
5. Developer
I was sort of skeptical of the first one, but it actually seems to fit.
Connectedness and Developer...not so much.
Some of the descriptions fit, but they make me sound like Locke on "Lost".
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!!!!
And Developers sound like coaches. Like Mr. Freeman. Like Coach Allen.
But everything is scarily accurate.
Some of the phrases jumped out at me, and I was like, "THAT'S ME!"
Sort of like that ice-breaker game they have you play at camp.
Stuff has been happening.
Yes. Stuff. Nothing important, hence the informative noun and lack of adjectives.
Chris read the poem from "10 Things I Hate About You" a few days ago for his poetry presentation. It was genius. I did Classic Crime's "Headlights" and it didn't go over so well, so I was jealous.
Janessa's a big sister...four months early. But the baby's doing okay.
Charlie, Jake, and I were in the back seat of Toni's car, and Jake kept flashing me and Charlie was going to scream.
>:( They won't let me play with them anymore.
I'm sort of pumped for the team meeting this Sunday. Kristine and I are going to hang out beforehand, and it's fun having my closest friends there when we talk about VBS. None of them are in my group, but the people in my group are pretty cool and we get along all right...so far, anyway. And there are other people that are actually really awesome that I wish I'd hung out with before, so I'm excited to get to know them.
How very Pollyanna.
She got to eat a 6-layer cake.
Whenever I think of that movie, I think of the cakes.
And nothing else.
Mr. Basaillon shaved!!!!
He looks completely different. Before he looked like a "Brian" and now he looks like a "Brandon".
And the name "Keith" reminds me of omelettes.
But it reminds Q of zebras.
And Darle thinks we're both insane.
All the Blogthings I've missed!!! Raaaaah!
The Apostle Paul was an INTJ.
And Peter was either an ENFP or and ENFJ.
And they hated each other.
It's fun reading the letters Paul wrote...
...until he gets all logical and is like, "You were dead to the law, THEREFORE..."
It's like, "That's nice, Paul. But get back to the important stuff."
And then he gets all huffy and I have to hang out with Peter for a little while.

Babies only like good things!
Because babies are pure and beautiful and could never be naughty or treacherous!
We had little kids over yesterday, and they kept calling Sully a "babyhead".
He countered with, "Oh yeah? Well, if I'm a baby, what are you?"
Their answer: "Chickens."
I'm so glad I have a girl dog.
Yep. That's all I have to say.
She smells terrible and we can't figure out why.
Besides her love of poop as a snack and her affinity for finding and rolling in dead things.
Are people really, REALLY that stupid?
In an EXTRA long English period (:P), Mr. Rosendale explained our poetry project, that none of us have started on (even though it's due Monday).
And no one got it.
They had the freaking directions out in front of them, yet none of them thought to read it.
Then they'd ask for ALL THE DETAILS AT ONCE, and, once given that information, would start hyperventilating!
"Too many details! Sensory overload! I'm confused! I don't get it!"
So frustrating. And they wasted the whole freaking period.
But Mr. Macaras let us sit outside after the quiz. Best math ever.
It's so hot outside. They say it will rain the rest of the week.
Oh well. 70 degrees in April is nice...
BBC did a terrible version of "Sense and Sensibility", and Betty Buckley ruined "Seasons of Love" for me forever.
:(

Would it still smell gross if I was alive?
We just started "Night" in English class.
The narrator concludes that God is dead after watching children burn in the ovens.
The foreword was about a Christian who met up with the author and had no way to comfort him.
It's pretty heartwrenching.
Some people are really cool, but they never talk!!
THE BOYS ARE BACK, THE BOYS ARE BACK!!
Sing it, Corbin, sing it!
My friend and I spent a whole weekend thinking one was mad at the other.
Seems like everyone's full of lies these days.
I got my ASVAB results back!
I'm in the 99th percentile in my class for verbal and math scores, but only in the 80th percentile for science.
Then, in the packet they gave us, we had to fill out a survey of activities we'd like to do.
I'd rather write a musical than fix a leaky faucet.
Surprisingly, I scored in the 96th percentile for Social careers.
So, with high verbal and math scores, I should be a secondary English teacher.
That made me kind of excited.

Stop sending me cocky e-mails, John McCain
We'll never get bored cuz we can go boarding.
Let's let the sunshine take us there.
As much as I despise this band, this is a pretty catchy song.
Ugh, John McCain is being obnoxious. He keeps sending us e-mails like, "Good debate last night", and, "2 Weeks to Victory!"
I bet Barack Obama is sending similar e-mails to his friends, but really?
I DON'T think you're going to win, John, and I think you know that.
Mmm, corn chips.
It's hard to type when a dog is LYING ON YOUR ARM.
Thank you, Tie.
Monday??
Flexible??
No complaining??
"La Boheme" and "Rent" are so similar, it's crazy. You can see things in "La Boheme" that Jonathan Larson took and added to each character from "Rent": Colline's coat, Schuanard's musical abilities, etc.
And Marcello is Mark and Joanne mixed into one character.
Alcindoro also reminded me a lot of both of them.
English was sort of a bummer.
As much as I love my teacher, we do NOT share the same views: morally, ethically, OR politically.
He was going on and on about moral absolutism vs. moral relativism and how moral relativism is how it SHOULD be, or rather, how it IS, and I got really bummed out, because he was completely dissing all my opinions (unwittingly, but still) and I didn't really get a chance to speak up.
It was just like...agh.
Ryan needs to eat.
Hurray for double chocolate Ho-Hos.
The best part is unrolling them and seeing the chocolate syrup. It's great.
But they're a little sticky.
Pajamajams. Pretty comfortable.
It seems like Jonathan Larson related to Mark the most, which is cool, because that's how I feel, especially regarding the song "Halloween".
Emma's little Pekinese attacked me.
But it wasn't very scary.
Don't you hate waking up early and thinking you're on time??
For example, when your alarm is set to 5:30, but you wake up at 1:30?
Sucks, doesn't it?

You Are Monday |
Like this day of the week, you are ruled by the moon. More than anything, you are flexible. You are moody and impressionable. You are easily influenced by the world around you. And while you can be temperamental, you eventually adjust. While Mondays tend to be the hardest day for people, you don't mind getting back to regular life. You're the one waking up early and making the coffee while everyone else complains. |

Sorry, forgot your name
It's really entertaining to type each letter really slow like people who type 5 words a minute.
PIZZA!
There was this GINORMOUS piece of pizza in line today, and I was first in line, so, selfishly, I took it.
And it was the best piece of pizza I'd ever had at school.
Really cheesy, but not too cheesy, with a nicely cooked crust. And greasy, too, like it should be.
I've been hanging out with Ben for 2 weeks and he didn't know my name until today?
Wow. Thanks.
History was a free period. Meaning we were free to discuss owls and Christian Bale as much as we liked.
We're now watching uplifting Disney movies in French, but there aren't any English subtitles, so we're on our own.
We were GOING to watch "La Belle et la Bete", but the French 1 kids were like, "WE'VE SEEN THIS ALREADY!!"
Psh. So we're watching "Sleeping Beauty".
It sucks when you can only garner information from pictures and random words.
Tyler is Britney Spears. He shaved his head and showed up today with a pink wig.
Mrs. Hamblet gave us candy. Because I asked her to. Kay wants to know if I'm God. Or at least a prophet.
Hurray for artificial banana!

Your Pizza Says: |
You have simple tastes. You don't like too many things going on with your food. There are a lot of flavors you don't like... or you don't think you like. Pizza Topping You Should Try: Roasted garlic Stay away from: Eggplant pizza |

Quite the vicious circle there, isn't it?
Why does our football team suck this year?
Well, actually, I know why. Evonne told me.
It's just disheartening.
And, yeah, we're the underdogs of the district.
But when we're forced to play good teams from Olympia and Canada, it's almost like they're mocking us.
Pep band is the best.
If playing sports means I can't be in pep band, forget basketball.
Emma is an abusive boyfriend. Girlfriend. Thing.
Ben is semi-perverted but fun to hang out with.
Yes, we were the ones that threw the gum wrappers in Ed's hair.
But I was the one that threw the hackey sack at Paul.
Our trombones had socks. Robert's said "SHO" every time he put it on.
TECHNO!
Fish is so nasty.
I'm going to ask Mr. Anspach if I can stay in French II after all.
Because if I switched out, I'd miss Janessa's generosity and all the sandwich-pounding, soup-spilling good times at lunch, as well as Matt's OCD smoothies and Kay's semi-pornographic gay manga.
Ugh, my internet is broken. So stupid.
Sarah thinks she lost the piano smackdown. But she really didn't.
Jake is weird. Ugh, Emma shouldn't have to leave. She just got here!
And her mom keeps saying stuff about raising money for Emma to go to California with the band, but they'll be gone by then, so is she lying or...?
Cuz everyone knows.
Amber ripped a hole in the space-time continuum. But Chris is the chosen one and has the power to save us all.
Agh. It was just so weird seeing her. Why, hello. This is awkward. Meet my awkward abusive boyfriend/girlfriend. No, Edward, no!

Crazy things that Tyler has done
Because he's so narcissistic.
Tony asked me a very good question the other day: if guys think lesbians are hot, do girls think that about gay guys?
The answer: A resounding NO.
And it has nothing to do with homophobia or anything like that.
We just...don't find gay guys that attractive.
Or at least gay guys together. There are definitely some cute gay guys.
And girls don't have the same one-track mind as guys.
YAY, someone replied to my "Rent" idea!!!
At least one person cares.
AAAAAH Maricel took this cool personality test, and then let me and Tyler take it, and it's pretty dang accurate. Maricel is white (the peacemaker), I'm blue (forgot what that stands for), and Tyler is red (the power builder).
And it's on the internet!! Too cool.
Blue blue blue blue blue.
Wow today is super accurate quiz today.
Mr. Anspach came up to me with an interesting proposition: would I like to switch around my 4th and 5th period in order to be in French 3 and 4?
I almost said 'yes' immediately, but that would mean switching out of 5th period Biology, which I really enjoy.
I'd also have to switch to 2nd lunch and then I'd never see Janessa, Matt, Kay, or Klinker.
Ooooh. What a conundrum.

What Your Burger Says About You |
You are very gluttonous. Even if you're full, you'll still clear your plate. You are likely a fairly picky eater. And you're secretly a little squeamish about some foods. You are bold and resolute in your choices. You don't back down, and you aren't afraid to go at something full force. You have trouble making decisions quickly. Everything looks good to you... especially at a restaurant. You are creative, open minded, and friendly. You are interested in all types of food and new dishes. |

You are an intelligent, well respected person. You are very confident. You take yourself seriously, and other people take you seriously too. You are a good leader, and you can be trusted with someone's life. You motivate people well, and you command respect easily. You are competent, successful, and organized. You can't stand chaos. EXPLOSIVE news on the homefront!
Tom's new name is Tomothy.
He might start an explosive rumor if he's not careful.
One that's not even remotely believable.
Or maybe believable, just not right now.
If that makes sense.
Dang, no one is buying chocolate! I guess things have slowed down. People are getting sick of chocolate.
Except me. And I have no money. :(
Heh, worship team is fun.
But not at 10:00 at night.
That's when the babes are sleeping.
Or SHOULD be.
Jake's kind of a pyscho. "BABYGATE, BABYGATE!"
"Bass Ackwards and Belly Up" is a pretty fantastic book. It's one of those books that gets a lot of positive feedback and actually deserves it (unlike "Twilight" or "Eragon", per se). I'm about halfway through; for some reason, it's taken me a long time to get that far. No free time, I guess.
Thank God for Thursdays.
And Liam Neeson.
And coral reefs.
It was pretty cool yesterday. It was "See You At the Pole" and Jessica and I wanted to leave PE early, and Mr. Freeman actually let us! We made in in time for the last 5 minutes or so (it took us a while to get dressed :P).
Well, gotta run, I've got babies to feed.
None of my own; I just like feeding babies!!

Aaron Carter makes a comeback
Where has Aaron Carter gone? Back to the Abyss, where he belongs??
Because SOMEONE was singing "I Want Candy" all day today.
Ironically, he wouldn't buy any of my chocolate.
Really, if this is the age where chilren are super cynical and text better than they can talk, WHY do adults feel the need to "teach" us how to USE THE INTERNET??
We sat in the library for HALF AN HOUR in English because the librarian had some "interesting" and "useful" things to teach us.
It's like telling kids not to touch each other inappropriately or use racial slurs for the MILLIONTH time.
They already KNOW it.
And my table was all set and ready to check out a book, but the librarian took so long that we had a minute left in the period by the time she was done.
Aaargh.
Ha.
So far, Mr. Rosendale has been my biggest seller with 7 bars, followed by Mr. Freeman with 5, and John with 4 or 5.
Mr. Hurd bought an Almond bar with 75 pennies and 1 quarter.
And he doesn't even like chocolate.
"Eagle Eye" is coming out at midnight on Friday. Aaargh. Shia LaBoeuf.
His name means Shia the Beef.
Francois Truffaut was totally cynical, but kind of amazing. Mr. Anspach wants to show "Wild Child", but I kind of want to see "Jules and Jim".

Disneyland is mine!!
You Are a Chocolate Chip Bagel |
You are creative, experimental, and and self-aware. You are a very bohemian person, and you tend to live a strange life. Of all the types, you're the most likely to go for strange food combinations. You tend to have coffee for breakfast. Anything with lots of coffee will do. |
Closer than whole-wheat.
We had to use all the exercise machines in PE, then do a billion crunches. Oh, my abs. But then Mr. Freeman turned off the lights and some New Age music and and had us "relax" for 8 minutes. It was heavenly.
Mr. Freeman was actually my biggest customer today. He bought 5 chocolate bars and then had me give them to my friends. ? Cool.
Tomorrow is "See You At the Pole" day, and Jessica and I want to ditch PE to go. But Mr. Freeman might not let us.
I've almost sold a whole box of chocolate!! 3 bars left!!!
In science, Tyler was torturing some worms.
So I have a Sims 2 blog. But I haven't started posting yet. There's Youth Band tonight and I have math homework...:O

Teamwork! Pokemon! Dugtrio!
Uggggh. "Barbie and the Diamond Castle" was pretty bad, even for a Barbie movie.
I was so excited, too, but it was no "Mariposa", which pretty much changed my life.
Or "Barbie as the Island Princess", which was pretty cool.
Barbie's friend Teresa had a major role, but didn't really do anything. It was mostly just a Barbie lovefest.
And there were singing Elvis twins!!! Aaaaaah say it isn't so!!
The creators of the movie thought it would be ABSOLUTELY hilarious to have the puppies start breakdancing.
CHOCOLATE! The Cherrydale Farms guy came to our school and supplied us with candy. Raaah, I want to start selling.
Maybe I'll even buy a whole box so I can hole up in my room and eat all 42 bars.
"Oh, uh, hey there, Timpani. I'd like to thank you for this amazing breakfast. Scrambled eggs and cinnamon toast?? Mmmmm...delicious."
Ba dum bum.
Aaaah, a Sims blog!!! I'm trying to go back to the very beginning. It'll probably take a while.
SUCCESS!
Sierra stole my measuring tape.
But, no matter, I'm still flat-chested.
:(
Mr. Rosendale is having us read really depressing stories.
First, "The Cold Equations" (okay, not going to lie, I liked that one).
Then, it was "The river, the Bass, and Sheila Mant" (Aaargh. She wasn't worth it...and THEY BOTH GOT AWAY!)
Pretty soon, we're going to read "Of Mice and Men".
Lennie!!! Bunnies!!! Murder!!! Morality!! God!!!
Sounds like a blast. XP
I kind of want to make a Sims blog now.
But we all know how that will turn out.

Etre ou etre pas, c'est le question.
Ha ha ha. French is cool.
Would you feel gypped if you bought a big bag of flavored Tootsie Rolls, AND IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY VANILLAS OR LIMES?
They're the only reason I EAT those things!
I was trapped in Yelm all weekend with the Youth Group.
But it ended up being pretty fun.
Except for the bus ride there.
And sleeping in a cabin full of talkative girls, who apparently like being awake for 48 hours with no sleep.
I was awake for 17 hours, and I was irritable.
Gross. Who'd want to eat cornbread saturated with baked beans, coleslaw, and brisket. Narsty.
Band is cool. Except when everyone is ninja kicking each other.
Emma's little brother is an elf. Hahahaha.
Science is actually not so bad. Everyone in the class is sort of a smart aleck, so we drive the teacher nuts. Which isn't good. But that's okay!!
Argh, no free time, no free time.
My mom was freaking out because I have my final drive tomorrow and she doesn't think I'll pass.
Which is pretty comforting.
-_-
So she made me practice parking, which I suck at, and backing around an uneven corner.
Fun fun fun.
But there's always Hostess Cupcakes and hot fudge to cheer me up.
Not together.
That would be indecent...
...but tasty.
We had to cover a ginormous paper bag with pictures that represented different aspects of our personality for English class.
I covered one whole side with pictures of FOB and another with photos of John McCain.
The other kids were not too impressed.
But Mr. Rosendale thinks it's cool that I'm a "Republican" (in the loosest sense of the word), but thinks I'll drop my "parent's values" and find "my own" by senior year.
Well, I might kind of sort of stand for civil unions...
...but you can get your own health care.
And forget mandatory preschool.

School is AMAZING!!
My life is finally complete!
For the second day at school, a LOT happened.
There are TWO German exchange students at school (not to mention a Korean one, a Mongolian one, and other people from various countries), and I got the name of one of them wrong, so he waited for me after to class in order to correct me.
And I still don't know his name.
We're having a party in English!! Aaaah!! He's bringing music and magazines and glue sticks! We're all making collages!!
French is pretty fun. Mr. Anspach was like, "Anouk, huh? Is that Moroccan?" Um, maybe. We just reviewed concepts like "etre" and "aller" and it's all coming back. Janessa's name is Cosette. Jealous.
Heh, band is too cool. We talked about how students have no rights at all, because police could basically search you if they had an okay, if not shaky, reason.
There are beans involved.
We're starting a science project tomorrow. XP Today, though, we had to interview another person, so I interviewed Tyler.
He told everyone I want to go to WSU to be a lizard veterinarian.
Tony actually took him seriously.
My locker got fixed!! School is so amazing!! Lunch sucks!!
PE is off to an interesting start. The PE teacher made us play a weird variation of "Rock, Paper, Scissors".
PE man: Okay, I'm going to say a word, and you're going to say a word, and then you play Rock, Paper, Scissors. And you have to move.
Kids: What??
PE man: Okay, how you play Rock, Paper, Scissors is....
Kids: No, no, we get THAT part.
PE man: Okay, your first word is DIVORCE!
Kids: ????????????
PE man: Say the next word.
Kids: What's the next word??
PE man: You tell me.
Kids: Depressing?
PE man: GREAT! That word has to do with fitness, you know.
Kids: Right....WHY DO WE HAVE HAVE TO PLAY ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS?

How will I convince them I'm a French speaker and not a well-meaning Aleut?
DUDE! We get to pick NAMES for French II! Of course, most people already have names. -_- Which makes me hate last year even more.
My homework was to find a French name, and I'm thinking about Anouk.
It's off the wall and cool, so whatever.
English is my favorite class so far. We spent an hour taking roll, talking about our other English teachers, and discussing the correct definition of "segue way".
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
Band was pretty cool. My new neighbor is in two of my classes. But Mr. Williams asked her what she played, and when she said "flute", he was like, "TROMBONE?"
Cuz they sound the same.
Anouk, Anouk, Anouk.
Math is sort of...interesting. The math teacher told us a Minnesotan joke?
Tie ran across the street and attacked some random dog.
Mom and I were yelling at her.
So she walked slowly towards us THROUGH TRAFFIC!
My dog is retarded.
1st lunch ROCKS.

Everything's dumber in Texas
ALEXIS ISN'T MOVING TO TEXAS!!
Kevin told me as we were walking to math (there was an open house tonight).
Which explains why she's planning on painting her new room.
YAAAAY!
Open House was cool. I met all my teachers, and they seem nice, except for my psycho PE teacher.
He was talking about how aerobics is working out with oxygen.
???????
Don't you ALWAYS use oxygen when you work out?
In fact, aren't you constantly using oxygen EVERY SECOND?
Whatever. He made us run around the gym to prove some point.
He also made a big deal about how 1 OUT OF EVERY 3 PEOPLE IS OBESE!
Well, no. If you want to get technical, 30% of the population is obese, which translates to 3 out of every 10 people, and if you wanted to reduce that fraction, it would be 1 out of every 3.3 people is obese, but it's impossible to have less than a whole person.
But that's not as HARD-HITTING.
Like I said, he's a psycho.
My English teacher is TOO COOL, and I heard from a lot of juniors and seniors that he's the best teacher in school, but he's sort of a hippie. That's okay, though. He seems to really love reading and actually knows what he's talking about.
And as much as I liked (and sometimes didn't like Mrs. Sims), Mr. Rosedale seems more fun to be around. And we'll be watching tons of movies, so that's a plus.
Dang it, I only have one class with Karen. :P
I don't have any classes with Connor??
P Willy, ha ha ha.
My math teacher is so nerdy and awesome. We're going back to the Chicago method - YESSSSS, math will finally make SENSE again. And Mr. Macaras promised to show examples on the board (:D) and explain things thorougly (XD). Cannot wait for school. And school shopping.
History is awesome, too. We'll be doing a lot of projects that involve food and creativity. It's like we're not studying history at all!
My French teacher wasn't there, but his room has paintings that he's done all over the walls, so I won't be stuck with another teacher like I had last year. XP Yeah, only worst class ever.
Aaagh, my science teacher seemed nice, but I still hate science it'll probably be one of my least favorite classes.
There's this girl in my science class that I haven't talked to since 3RD GRADE and her mom somehow knew who I was and kept talking to me, and I was like, "AARGH, I BARELY REMEMBER YOU!!"
And the girl I used to be friends with is all popular and cute now, so I'm not sure if we'll be BFFs like before.
Not that I'm prejudiced.
I just tend not to fare well with people like her.
Agh, but that's shallow.
Maybe she'll help me actually UNDERSTAND science for once.
I'm reading "Eclipse" now and it's boring and sappy as ever. Edward is SUCH a JEEEERK.
Yeah, Jacob is immature.
But Edward is controlling. Ugh. So much worse.

That one time at band camp....
You Are the Storyteller |
You have a way with words, and you love hearing yourself talk. You are at your best when you have an audience, and you can carry on a conversation with anyone. You are light hearted and fun - a natural entertainer. It's a side of you that you can't really turn off. You thrive on attention (perhaps a little too much), and you love applause. When you allow yourself to be serious, you can be a moving and articulate speaker. Your words have power, and not just the power to make people laugh. |
Yeah, except for the fact that I HATE public speaking, that's pretty much totally correct!!
All this week there's been band camp from 10 AM to 2 PM, which is sort of ridiculous.
But it's fun, a lot funner than I expected. P Willy is cool (the band leader - don't ask).
I haven't been playing trombone at ALL this summer, though, so I had absolutely no range.
I also had to take my retainers out when playing, so when I put them back on four hours later, they were all tight and uncomfortable.
Fun fun fun.
We got SO much pep music compared to last year, though, and they all sound cool and are fun to play!! What a concept!
Marching is the worst, though. Spending time in a soggy field for an hour is sort of lame.
But we ended early today. Mwahahaha. And today was the last day of band camp, so all is well.
We're getting our schedules tomorrow!! Can't wait! I just hope mine isn't screwed up. Being a cocky git, I signed up for Wind Ensemble, and that will probably mess up my entire schedule.
Yay, another incorrect quiz!!
You See The World Through Red Colored Glasses |
You live your life with intensity. You have strong emotions and experience everything vividly. You judge all interactions through the lens of power. You determine who has the most power and how to improve your position. You face challenges with courage and strength. You can will your way through any problem. You see love as the utmost expression of your passions and desires. Your romantic life is very passionate and overwhelming. At your worst, you are easily angered and quick to fight. You will go to war with anyone. You are happiest when you are expending a lot of energy. And you love the feeling of danger! |
Hahaha, Jeff. He was advising us not to do drugs and told us a story about a boxer who had an LSD flashback and thought he was a vampire, so he climbed up a telephone pole and sat there looking for someone he wanted to bite.
It was really funny when Jeff told it, because he's so Jeff-ish.
There was almost a showdown between Emory and this kid Chad, but it didn't happen, so Chad won...but then he got the answer wrong, so there should have been a showdown, because Emory would have won and then we wouldn't be in this mess.
Wow, this quiz made my day.
Your Friendliness Score is 37 (Somewhat Friendly) |
No one is going to accuse you of being unfriendly, but you're often of people's friendship radar. You don't really feel comfortable in social situations, and as a result, people don't feel comfortable around you. This isn't to say you're friendless. It's very likely that you have at least a couple really good friends. But only people who truly understand you can be friends with you. Everyone else thinks you don't like them. Put yourself out there a little more. Get in touch with a few acquaintances and ask them how life is going. If you make a few overtures toward people you know, you may be surprised how many friends you end up with. |
Driving on the highway is kind of fun. How intense.
