Someone just combined two of my favorite things: Myers-Briggs and Harry Potter!
They think that each of the four houses represents a different group of personality types.
Although I agree with another person who posted and said Slytherins were the Protectors and Gryffindors Creators, rather than the other way around.
Because many of the Gryffindors were rather impulsive (a P characteristic). The only one who wasn't was Hermione.
So that means:

Creators (SP): Gryffindor
Intellectuals (NT): Ravenclaw
Visionaries (NF): Hufflepuff

Most of the primary characters were there and it was enlightening and explained a lot of things about each of the characters and it was one of those things that nerds like me get off on.
And, according to personalitypage.com, a person's "natural mate" is a person whose personality type who's two middle letters are the same as your own, but the outer two are opposite.
For example: ESFJ's "natural mate" would be ISFP.
So, being a nerd, I took the results from the Harry Potter quiz and paired up the characters who seem to be made for each other.
And, of course, none of these characters got together in the books, because of age, sexuality, and morals (um, yeah, Voldemort)?
But it was still kind of cool.
For instance, Hermione's soul mate is Draco Malfoy.
Mwahaha.

But we knew that already.
Farah Fawcett died today.
So did Michael Jackson.
On 20/20, they kept bringing up his many allegations of child molesting.
Or maybe it's not that many. But it's been more than once.
And Barbara Walters or one of the many blonde-helmeted news people asked him if he'd ever sexually "abused" a child, and he said, "Never, never, I would NEVER harm a child."
Yeah, but....
....a lot of child molestors don't think they're "hurting" the child at all.
It's weird, and messed up, and it doesn't justify what they do, but that's how they think.
So he wasn't guilty either time (he might have been once? I don't know)...but it makes you wonder if he was.
I don't know. I was just thinking about it.
And it made me sort of sad for him. Because his early life had sucked. A bunch.
But that's like saying, "Oh, that guy had a hard life. It's totally cool if he abuses his horse."
That was in a book, by the way. I didn't just randomly pull that out of the air.
But it wouldn't be any less weird if I had.

Yoast seemed suspiciously Feeler-ish, though.
We watched "Remember the Titans" to build our comraderie.
Kristine, Sierra, and I formed a huddle of blankets and were quite comfortable.
Until Sierra's face got cold and she had to resort to listening to the movie rather than watching it, and Kristine burst into tears after Bertier's accident, and I followed soon after, more from consequences due to an extremely unbalanced diet in the past 12 hours than from sadness.
But 45% from sadness, definitely.
I got put on the 1st Grade team and I'm really excited. First grade is one step up from kindergarden, meaning the kids are still adorable and cuddly.
I don't envy the people who were put on the Jr. High team.
The people in my group seem to be really cool, too. There are no instant personality clashes, anyway. Well, maybe one. But it's completely one-sided.
Possibly.
I might just be imagining things.
AGAIN.
BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY THING I'M GOOD AT.

I also signed up for the Drama Team, but they haven't said anything about that yet.

While watching yet another History Channel movie on the Black Death.

It started off as my friends pressuring me to go.
Then Janine got in on it.
Then God went, "Surprise. Guess who's side I'm on?"
But you can't argue with him.
So I started filling out the application, and realized that I really do want to go.
Not just because Sierra's going, and not just because it will be the last time I see Kristine, but because I finally realized I can't be closed off forever and that I need more friends, since Kristine is leaving and that's what the body of Christ is about anyway.
And I've never been on a missions trip and this will be a cool experience.
My parents are all for it, and are ready to back me up financially. It was pretty cool last night, because I was worried about money and different factors regarding the trip, and my empathetic Thinker mom explained to me why they were supporting me while my Feeler dad sat on the floor just listening and pretending he needed tissues for his allergies.
But filling out the application was still pretty scary, because I realized if I'm completely honest, they might not let me go. Up until this point (okay, it still continues to this day), I've had sort of a bad attitude regarding the youth group and I know Ben has picked up on that, so when he reads parts of my application (there were questions like, "Why do you come to Primetime?" and "Do you have any personal problems with anyone in the Youth Group?" that gave me pause), he might interpret it negatively.
Which scares the crap out of me.
But I've been praying about it since last night and worst case scenario is can't go: there's always next year, and now I know what I need to work on.
Phew.

And not only was it very exciting, THE STEELERS WON!!
EVERYONE in my entire family was rooting for the Cardinals, and they were a little peeved when my team won.
