Singles Awareness Day: Why meet people when you can mope?

I didn't mope. Much. Valentine's Day was all right.
And there was MUCH chocolate.
My dad got these Black Forest Truffle squares, I decorated a pink-frosted chocolate cake, we bought Ovaltine powder from Fred Meyer...(mmmmm....XP)...good times.
I'm listening to "Happiness Is A Warm Gun", and it got to the part where Joe Anderson is administered Naked Girl drugs by Salma Hayek...and I have nothing deep to say about that. I was just thinking about it, and how high he manages to sing. Good song.
I'm a Beatles convert. My dad got two giant Beatles anthologies from us for his birthday and they have EVERYTHING: "She Loves You", "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da", "The Ballad of John and Yoko", "Get Back", "Hey Jude"...and it's all great.
So, yeah, "Magical Mystery Tour" still sucks, but their hundreds of other songs are pretty fantastic.
And it's fun to listen to stuff like "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and go, "MAX! LUCY! ACROSS THE UNIVERSE!! NOOOOOOO WAY! SHE CAME IN THROUGH THE BATHROOM WINDOW!"
Gabrielle Zevin is so wonderful. She's so clever and funny and I love how she writes.
Michele Jaffe is a riot. I got first pick from the new stuff in the Teen Section at the library and SCORE! "Kitty Kitty" AND the next book in the Echo Falls series!!!! YESSSS!
Just...everything.
"The Jane Austen Book Club" wasn't that great a book. Maybe I just don't appreciate it enough, but I loved the movie and felt way more for it than I could ever feel for the book, which was sort of confusing and boring and had nothing to do with anything.
Awesome.

Okay, you got me....

You Are Chocolate Chip Pancakes

You prefer sweet and rich foods.

You shy away from anything that's overly bland or unnaturally fat free.

It's not likely that someone would find low fat cheese or sugar free cookies in your kitchen.

Instead, someone might find a pan of brownies baking in the oven or warm popcorn covered in real butter.

Screw diets.
And blueberry pancakes.
And the library.
Do you need anybody??
I need someone to loooove.
Could it be anybody?
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooh....
That Bill Gates. Enzo was wrong. If you become a billionaire, living in a garage for 6 years is totally worth it.
Who needs a real house, anyway?
Cherry muffins? Really?

Welcome to the 21st century!

My library just NOW decided that it would be a good idea to get an automatic check-out.
It's about time.
But the librarians always glare at you if you use those, like their way is so much better.
"Wouldn't you like to check out over here? No? Okay. Are you sure? Do you know how to use it?"
Well, it's pretty self-explanitory. There are directions right on the screen.
"Scan your library card. Scan each book. *gasp* You owe $3.50. DELINQUENT DELINQUENT DELINQUENT."
"What Happened to Lani Garver" wasn't that great. It's like the "Geography Club". You hear so much about it, but when you're done, you're left unsatisfied.
It's not a BAD book. Just not great.
We were told to write an essay about the First Olympics and Mr. Hurd allowed us to insert our opinions into it.
Heh heh heh.
A librarian called us all fat today. It wasn't very nice.
And she interrupted our conversation about werewolves and virginity.
Not like those two topics are related in any way....
HA I'm a werewolf. No wonder I hate "Twilight" so much.

You Are a Werewolf

You are moody and easily provoked.

You are highly loyal and protective of those you love.

While you can be intense at times, you are generally a laid back person.

But if a fight comes your way, you will fight 'til the death if necessary.

You seem normal to most people. No one understands how different you can be.

It's like a switch flips for you sometimes - and then you're a completely different creature.

We're having an assembly for Homecoming Court tomorrow and I'm sort of pumped. We have to dress nice, though. :P
Who needs trick-or-treaters? I can eat a whole bag of flavored Tootsie Rolls by myself.
How untrue all of that is.

What Your Cute Monster Says About You

You are a vibrant, vivacious person. When you live, you live as wildly and loudly as possible.

You are very bold. You are willing to stand up and be a leader.

Your inner demon is intensity. You have a tendency to let your passions take over.

People think you're cute because you're fiery. When you get worked up, it's charming.

"Monk" is the coolest. Mmm, Troy. No, Stottlemeyer, she did it! She's a bad girlfriend!

Stupid actions require stupid solutions

You Are Having a Green Day

You are approaching today with a good deal of balance and awareness.

If you didn't pay attention, today could be like any old day. Nothing too exciting is going on.

But for you, today all about making the most of each moment.

You are seeing the beauty in every situation, and you're keeping your mind open to possibilities.

YESSS! I finally found a book series I used to read that I've been looking for forever.
There was another one, though, that was my favorite children's book, but I can't find the title. They just keep talking about the plot. It's like they forgot what it was called, too.
Steven Kellogg's Best Friends!!!!
BEST BOOK EVER!!!
This book made me cry in 1st grade.
What would you do if there was only one puppy?
Ugh, ethics are tiring. We read "Coup de Grace" in English, and it's a good story, but then we have to write about whether we think the main character did the right thing in killing his best friend.
True, his friend WANTED to die, but murder is wrong in any situation.
So while he was helping his friend, he did kill someone.
But if you're against that, then you should be against the death penalty, because if humans shouldn't have the right to choose to kill someone, then they shouldn't be able to murder criminals.
It's just too confusing.
We watched kind of a bummer movie in French, called "Manon of the Spring".
Manon's humpback dad Jean was sort of screwed over by Papet and his nephew Ugolin, who hid the spring from Jean and dried up all his crops.
Then Ugolin falls in love with Manon and sews her ribbon THROUGH HIS NIPPLES!
Try watching that while eating a roast beef sandwich. Ewwww.
Then Ugolin kills himself because Manon finds out what he did and hates his guts, and his suicide note was SOOOOOO sad!!!
He wrote about how much he loves Manon, and how much she loves this teacher guy, but the teacher guy didn't love her!! And Ugolin wanted to kill the teacher for taking Manon for granted, but that would make her sad and he knew killing himself would make her happy!!!!
I almost died.
Then, it turns out Florette, Manon's grandmother, got pregnant with Jean after a magic night with...PAPET!!
So Papet basically killed his own son and drove his nephew to suicide. But he never told Manon any of this because he DIED THE NEXT DAY!!!
Dang. Kind of messes you up.
I remember the Magic Attic Club!!! And the Cobble Street Cousins!!
I think they have every single one!! Checking them ALL out.

Aaron Carter makes a comeback

Where has Aaron Carter gone? Back to the Abyss, where he belongs??
Because SOMEONE was singing "I Want Candy" all day today.
Ironically, he wouldn't buy any of my chocolate.
Really, if this is the age where chilren are super cynical and text better than they can talk, WHY do adults feel the need to "teach" us how to USE THE INTERNET??
We sat in the library for HALF AN HOUR in English because the librarian had some "interesting" and "useful" things to teach us.
It's like telling kids not to touch each other inappropriately or use racial slurs for the MILLIONTH time.
They already KNOW it.
And my table was all set and ready to check out a book, but the librarian took so long that we had a minute left in the period by the time she was done.
Aaargh.
Ha.
So far, Mr. Rosendale has been my biggest seller with 7 bars, followed by Mr. Freeman with 5, and John with 4 or 5.
Mr. Hurd bought an Almond bar with 75 pennies and 1 quarter.
And he doesn't even like chocolate.
"Eagle Eye" is coming out at midnight on Friday. Aaargh. Shia LaBoeuf.
His name means Shia the Beef.
Francois Truffaut was totally cynical, but kind of amazing. Mr. Anspach wants to show "Wild Child", but I kind of want to see "Jules and Jim".

Patrick Stump was wrong

People so change. Like, just this year. All the guys have gotten taller, our writing has gotten better (thanks to Mrs. Sims), people are dating different people, other people are no longer friends, and all that weird, weird stuff that we never saw coming in September.
I love school.
Except SOMEONE STOLE MY BOOK!!!! It was sitting on the table, and I had to go to the bathroom, so I asked Janessa to watch it, and someone took it without her noticing!!!
WHO WOULD STILL A BOOK??
Seriously, you would think that would be the last thing someone would steal.
And it was a library book. AAargh.
"Saturday" by Olivia the Band.
Not a Friday kind of feeling, week is over, weekend beginning, on a Sunday, follow Monday...no, this is a
SATURDAY, and I'm
FEELING great.
One thing left to do, time to say....
And that's enough for now.
So Amanda's friend Allie and Allie's boyfriend Mikey are coming to the dance with us. That's pretty cool. We had to talk to the principal, though.
NOOOOOOO! Someone turned in my library book!!! Dang it, dang it, dang it!!
Oh well. It wasn't that good anyway.
I can't wait till my dad gets home.
Freshmen is in 2 days!!!
I still look like a man in my dress!
I need to break in my new shoes!!!
Why didn't God give me any boobs???
So yeah, the usual drama.

Is this the strange feeling of you working all to good?

I think Caedmon's Call's "40 Acres" is the best album I own right now. I've been listening to it a lot lately, and my dad really likes it. "Somewhere North", "Faith My Eyes", and "Daring Daylight Escape" are my favorite songs. Ironically, they're all sung by Derek Webb. I think I like his voice better, and he's a good guitar player, but there's something about Cliff Young's voice that's really soothing and folksy. Most of Cliff's songs get on my nerves, though, "Petrified Heart" especially. I hate that Danielle girl. Her voice is go grating and I hate the song "Shifting Sands". I have another Caedmon's Call album from like 2003 something, and I think it's one without Derek Webb, but I've never listened to it, so I think I might. Dude, I'm totally going out and buying all of their albums now, especially "Overdressed".
"The Only One" = good Cliff Young song.
OMG, they consider "Shifting Sands" one of their BEST SONGS!
Yeah, I sort of got sick and stayed home this morning, where I read the remaining 275 pages of "The Book Thief". It was so good. I knew what was going to happen, as the NARRATOR KEPT GIVING IT AWAY, but it was to be expected (hello, Holocaust) and it felt right. So sad, though.
Contest tomorrow. Then on a bus to Oakland Bay. Then rushing back home to band practice at church. Yeah, haven't practiced my music AT ALL since last week. And Good Friday is IN TWO DAYS!!!
And Easter is in 4 days!!! I'm happy about the resurrection of Christ, but also about the chocolate bunnies.
OMG, a film adaptation of "The Book Thief" is being optioned!!! I hope it's good. I want lazy people who don't want to read the book to see it and be able to relate to the characters through film. Although, if it sucks as much as the film version of "A Chorus Line", I might just kill myself.
Hey, the fourth Maximum Ride came out recently! I have no money. Time to pay a visit to the library.

The future has arrived.

Awwww, "Meet the Robinsons" was SOOOO GOOD. I saw a lot of it coming, but it was really funny and the end was fantabulously creative (I wanted to use an adjective other than "so"). THE FROGS!!!!! It made me cry, tho.
Aaagh, speaking of movies, we had to watch this MESSED UP movie in French today. It was called "My Mother's Castle", and the kid was obsessed with his summer home in the country, and then he met a girl with round calves who made him do weird things.
I think I'm addicted to Sims 2. Yesterday = 5 hours. Today = 3 hours. I'm getting better. I'm dealing only with my French family, but they're having another baby, and they had a second child, who's adorable. I just need to think up another French name. Olivier was my last resort.
Mr. Campbell made me, Tim, Ariel, Dylan, and Jessi stay after school to finish a lab. Ours finally landed in the cup after Mr. Campbell let us sort of cheat and adjust it so it reacted to the curve. It landed in the middle of the cup...and bounced out. At least we got the distance perfect. :P
Do do do do do do. No good books lately. "Pride and Prejudice" is SOOOOO boring. They're just talking about Jane and Mr. Bingley, bla bla bla. EEEEE I GOT "SNAKECHARM" FROM THE LIBRARY! Okay, one thing: Danica's pregnant? I guess she and Zane have been busier than we thought....

"I'm glad that Bryce Larkin is dead...

...and isn't in my bedroom making out with my new girlfriend."
Ow, my hip hurts. I saw last Monday's episode of "Chuck" last night and it was really good. Bryce is really hot, and I wish he was in more than one episode. Besides the pilot. I hate Anna, though.
More books for the list.
10. "Dairy Queen" by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
Summary: 15-year-old D. J. Schwenk joins the high school football team to her father's chagrin.
Lol, I love cows. And I was obsessed with Brian for a long time afterwards. The sequel, "The Off Season", is just as good, if not better.

11. "The Princess Diaries" by Meg Cabot
Summary: Mia Thermopolis finds out her father is a prince, making her a princess, and learns to deal with the changes that follow.
The rest of the series sucks (it's really good up until #4. Or maybe #6, because #5 was pretty good.), but this book cracks me up. I want combat boots.

12. "Home of the Brave" by Katherine Applegate
Summary: Kek, a refugee from Sudan, comes to Minnesota to live with his aunt and cousin and learns growing up isn't always easy.
I just finished this book today, and it's written in poetry format, so it's a pretty quick read, and Kek is hilarious. Oh, and he likes cows.

Yeah, I'm a little obsessed. I read like 4 books today. We skipped church because it snowed again. But then the stupid rain came and had to wash it all away, so there's probably going to be school tomorrow. Aargh, I HATE Washington. HATE it. I'm either going to move somewhere where it doesn't rain or snow or somewhere that snows every day, but doesn't rain. Is that even possible?
Do do do do. Ugh, I reread "Avalon: Circles in the Stream" and it was a painful experience.
I think Family Force 5 counts as Christmas music.

Frozen drool causes AIDS.

Aaaaaaaaaagh it's sooooo cold in this house. Pretty much freezing.
Lol today's events progressed quite interestingly. In French I found a book about 50 Cent in someone's cubby and read it all period long. Turns out it belonged to the guy who has the locker next to mine, but he didn't care.
Wooo 434 scores on quizlet! I'm the man.
Yay I got "The Road to Balinor" and "Circles in the Stream". Yesss. I'm such a nerd, lol. But at least I have something to blog about. Lol, I found ANOTHER series that I read back in the day that I really hated and feel the need to discredit. It only has three books, though.
"Love Music" is hilarious.
I finished "Watership Down". Okay, I was freaking out because everyone kept getting mortally wounded and acting like they were going to die, but I guess not. But then end was SOOOO GOOD. Mr. Walker says the cartoon is stellar, so I'm going to watch it. Only I have different ideas of what the rabbits should sound like, so it will be weird hearing them. Probably mess with my mind.
Forget andkon. If you go to the game's home site, it's more likely to load. That's right.
Man I ate all the White Rabbits.

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

They might be popular in Japan, but they just don't taste right.

Heh I bought some White Rabbits. And some weird chocolate things called Curly Tops, but those don't taste as nice. They don't taste like pickles, which is sometimes true of Japanese chocolates, but they don't taste right. They're okay, though, once you get used to the taste.
Aaaaaaagh the library is so slow. I put a hold on something yesterday and I got it today, but the rest of the stuff is waiting in limbo. Forever.
I kept telling Tim I would go and buy White Rabbits, but he didn't believe me. Heh.
Band went so well today. We had the 8th graders practice with us again and they're really good. Well, most are. But "Greensleeves" went AMAZINGLY well, and that was the one we'd had the most trouble with. "Sleigh Ride" needs the most work, especially in the trumpet section, but "Largo" is pretty stellar. Lol, the bassoon player was cracking me up by making little remarks from time to time, and he sort of insulted my intelligence, but he did it in a funny way. "Hmmmm, cue notes...."
Science test. I believe I passed.
Math quiz. I know I passed.
Have to practice vocab.

You're all ridiculous

I'm trying not to put myself in a bad mood by imagining things that have not yet happened. Sort of like Anakin. Only I'm wearing a shirt.
Let's see. I finally got "Maximum Ride: School's Out --- Forever" from the library. However, I'd put a hold on it in JUNE and it was IN THE SHELVES? Wth???
Argh. I am ballin' at Corrals. No, not helping.
I'm finally going somewhere on my writing project. Sure. But I don't want to write it yet.
It's not working. I'm just really mad and I'm going to express it in a very immature, 14-year-old way.
I don't know what happened, or what exactly is going on, but this is freaking ridiculous. And I'm probably jumping to conclusions, which will lead to a big misunderstanding, and will make my life much more horrible than it already is.
But really? Grow some balls, everybody. Or some backbone.
I'm just mad at the world. And confused. And tired. And I do not want to go to school tomorrow because my teacher thinks I'm in the KKK probably.
Although I just finished my science homework and discovered that I do not suck at math.
That should count for something.
Viva la immature fourteen-year-olds.

A real good trick to play on a pensioner

I wish I were British. Then I could say things like "snog" and "pensioner" and "duff up". Oh, and "kippers".
I hate these computers. The keys are always sticking and the internet is slowly.
Dat's right. I'm at the library!!!!
Weeeee.
I already have plenty of books (including E. Lockhart's "The Boyfriend List", which is really amazing, actually).
I just need to pick up some holds and then maybe buy an EVANESCENCE T-SHIRT!!!!
I just saw Mrs. Sharon here, but I didn't say hi. Does that make me really awful?
Yeah...
Summer school = so boring. I had to take a test. And I think I broke the substitute's brain.
OOOPS.
I swear, if my shift key sticks one more time I will kill myself.
Do do do do do
I wonder how Philip Pullman is doing right now... Random thought. I want to go home and listen to the rest of "The Boyfriend List" and do other frivolous things. Yesh.

I've been to the year 3000...

Whenever I listen to this song I picture the Jonas brothers making rapping gestures.
I took a trip to the year 3000, this song had gone multiplatinum, everybody bought our seventh album, it had outsold Kelly Clarkson.
A few of these things seem a little obvious and a few a little not. Is he saying that they finally put out their 7th album in the year 3000, or by the year 3000 everyone had bought it. I find that impossible, but hey.
Oh, and of course they outsold Kelly Clarkson, if she's going to continue down her path of perpetual emoness.
I sampled "My December". It was kind of lame.
"So many things to tell her, but how to make her see? The truth about my past? IMPOSSIBLE! She'd turn away from meeeee!" "He's holding back, he's hiding, but what I can't deciiiide, why won't he be the king I know he is, the king I see insiiiiiiiiiiiide?"
*sniff*
It brings a tear to my eye...
HARRY POTTER ISH COMING OUT!
And so is the 5th movie.
I'm going to Wikipedia the play Daniel Radcliffe was in to see why he was so nude.
Just curious.
I want "SCHOOL'S OUT---FOREVER" very bad!
J-5 is rocking on the radio...
I TURNED IN LOTR LIKE TWO MONTHS AGO!!!!! AAAAAAAAGH!
I hate this library.
Ace high royal flush, red velvet orange crush, but you just don't impress me much.
I saw "Evan Almighty" yesterday. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. In fact, it was actually really good. I'm not giving it like 8 stars out of 5, and it's not my favorite movie of all time, but I do like Steve Carrell. He's a really good all around actor. And I don't dislike Morgan Freeman as much. He's pretty cool in that movie. And even though Morgan Freeman as God is a little innacurate (just a little) he did a good portrayal of God's love and stuff.
And the movie was actually funny, so I don't know what everyone else thinks.
I liked the horses. I would've brought 2 of each breed, but hey, that's just me.

Saturday, April 07, 2007

Please don't hurt me mister gangsta sir.

Yeah, went to the library today, but I only got three books because I was feeling intimidated by some teens in the *gasp* TEEN SECTION.
I don't know, I didn't want to be all dumb and shy whilst searching for books. THey were just looking at comics anyway.
But it's a thing i have. I have to be ALONE in the teen section or it just isn't right and I hyperventilate. Or not hyperventilate, I just get uncomfortable and leave.
So much for being extroverted.
I think I have split personalities. I mean, I CAN be a total extrovert, but at school and stuff, if I don't know anybody, it's like, "please don't talk to me, I'd just like to get by, maybe read my novel..."
5'10"! HE'S 5'10"! Too bad I don't internet date. Oh well.
EMO!
Dodedodedo.
Is it prom season already?
I forgot that I like spring.
I FINALLY got Blood and Chocolate, but it's not CDs, it's cassettes, and that makes me angry because I have to use William's CD player. Lame.
We're dying EGGS tonight.
Woooooo.
Lol I got a funny result.
Quizmaker: Hott. *drools*
Guy in picture: I take myself too seriously.
Me: Um, ew...nice coat, though.
WTH????
Other pictures: emo boy with rose (:D), guy with really ripped abs who other than that isn't really worth describing, weird leather coat man, GLADIATOR????, and some random shirtless guy wearing pretty nice jeans.
I like a pair of jeans.
I am in love with clothes.
*conks self in head*
Whatever, that person is seriously messed up. I like the rose picture though.
What's with all these stupid, "Are U the 1 4 me, you? (girls only)" quizzes? And it's RETURN OF THE STUPID PROM DRESSES! "What prom dress are you?" "What prom dress is for you?" "What's your perfect prom dress?" AAAAH. I haven't seen a good Harry Potter quiz in FOREVER.
That's kind of an oxy moron.
Kind of what we were talking about last night. "Smart Al Gore. It cancels them both out." "So what'd you say?" "Nothing."
HAHAHAHA.
If you don't know, I'm on quizilla taking REALLY DUMB QUIZZES.
Also, there's a lot of Naruto quizzes.
Y'all should check it out.
Feel my pain.
The "who's your guy? pics will make u drool" quiz is not worth it.

Phish Food

I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S!
What flavor?
PHISH FOOD! Chocolate ice cream with gooey marshmallow, carmel swirl, and fudge fish.
Their description, not mine.
MWAHAHA.
But I was in the car with my dad, after grocery shopping for two hours, and it was all melting, and fudge isn't the best thing to eat when you're driving in a car. Actually, I can't eat ANYTHING when I'm driving or on a boat or train or something. That's the only time I get car/seasick.
Dangit, I'm getting low grades in math and science. Some moron got my notebook wet, so ALL the stupid assignments got ruined, and I don't know if he graded them or not. I'm thinking not. And math because the stupid teacher is TOTALLY inflexible. She won't let you turn anything in late, even if you were absent, she makes you go to stupid math help and turn it in, then sit there for like 5 hours. hello. I have a life/basketball practice, besides, wouldn't it be EASIER for me just to GIVE it to you then to make me go to your stupid after school class when i don't need HELP? Actually, sometimes I do, but not if I FINISHED the assignment. Even if I did need help, you wouldn't GIVE it to me, that's why I don't ask any questions in math.
I hate her.
I really want a new CD.
Was playing Evanescence on my trombone. "Hello" is a hard song to play. Couldn't play anything good like "Dance, Dance" or "Girl of the Year" because they're not on my cpu and I didn't want to recharge my ipod because whenever I put my ipod on random, I get all anal and have to finish EVERY SONG before I recharge it. Which is hard, because there are 281 songs on it, and I don't even have all my music on there.
I owe $6 at the library. -_-
GASP maybe the library has more PHANTOM STALLION!!!! Haven't read one of those in the library. I'm restarting "Jedi Apprentice". I'm such a nerd. LAME, I asked them to order Winnie the Horse Gentler because I was like, "Wth, I need a new series," and I've only ever read the 1st one???? But they only ordered the first 3, skipped 4 and 5, and then ordered 6 and 7. WHY CAN'T YOU ORDER THE WHOLE SERIES LIKE A NORMAL FREAK?
I need to reread...
LOTR.
Harry Potter.
Jedi Apprentice.
And all the Star Wars movie novels. Even though I've only read one. Two. No, three.
But not that stupid one "Revenge of the Sith" by that idiot who kept being all, "This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker. Lalalala I'm ugly, I feel like cutting myself, NO PADME! And the world turned black..." It wasn't even funny dumb, just REALLY sucky writing.
I remember reading it last summer, and Marcia was all, "THAT GIRL IS A WRITER!" and I felt bad since I haven't written anything, not even a short story, in like 3 years???? I suck.
My family is in the Dark Ages technology wise.
Yes, we have a new cpu. And a TV. And cellphones.
But cable would be nice.
DOWN WITH DIAL UP!
BURN DOWN THE BARBER SHOPS!
NO MORE MEATSHAKE!
