My dad's freaking out. When you listen to itunes while you're online, the songs sometimes skip.
But whatever. It only does that when you're on the cpu and/or playing a CD while doing a billion other things.
But my dad is worried that the skipping means the songs themselves are flawed and will sound funny on his ipod.
He refuses to be pacified.
He's also worried that my brothers and I are having the Worst Summer Ever, because we're laying around the house doing nothing.
Or, in my case, spending ungodly amounts of time on Facebook and reading too much Meg Cabot (even though I dislike her strongly, I'm still rather addicted to Princess Diaries).
But no. We have to be doing Activities to be having any fun!
But then he worries that we don't like the activities.
So he's very stressed this summer.
He shouldn't be, though; we LIKE being lazy. That's the WHOLE POINT of summer!
I loved Stateside, it was great, and there was so much stuff to do, but now that it's over, even though I get a little bored with the light workload, I just want to relax.
And we had this weird conversation about the WEATHER of all things, where he freaked out because I'd heard something DIFFERENT from him.
It was so weird. He made it this big production, and it was like, "Dad, really, we watch different news channels. Who cares?"
I've learned a lot about him this summer, and I hope it's helping.
The black-bottom cupcakes don't have enough cream cheese!
Instead of being cream cheesy and delicious, they have a hidden pocket of cream cheese that's overpowered by devil's food!
WHAT WILL WE DO??
I would love it if my internet didn't have a heart attack every time I loaded a game of some sort.
I'm kicked offline 45% of the time because of this.
My dad is all, "Maybe at the end of the summer, we'll get high speed!"
Awesome! Seeing as we're years behind!
Oh my gosh, it's dead.

And they wonder why I'm paranoid...
Just typing away in my own little world while my dad plunks away on piano.
But he's not paying attention.
Now that we have all this glorious free time, he's been thinking up all these projects we can do.
House cleaning projects, not Girl Scout crafts or anything.
We cleaned the windows yesterday. Weeee...
It involved a lot of Windex and Brawny paper towels.
I miss the old Brawny guy. Have I ever said that? He was a real man.
But anyway.
I cleaned the insides and he cleaned the outsides.
There was a frustrating point where he gave me really vague instructions on how to do something involving the vacuum, so, after spending an agonizing five minutes trying to figure out how to put the hose on (I figured it out eventually, lol), I vacuumed up all the dust and dog hair on the window sill.
How dog hair got on the window sill is beyond me.
But that's what I thought he wanted me to do.
But, apparently, I HADN'T done what he'd wanted and suddenly he's at me with all these detailed instructions.
And I got mad because if he'd wanted me to do all that, why hadn't he told me in the first place?
But his response was, "Well, I'm telling you now."
But I thought it was a job well done, and now he's telling me I haven't done the job at all. This wouldn't have happened if you'd told me in the first place!
"But I'm telling you now."
Ugh.
It's strange that we can't seem to communicate, even though we're more alike than different.
Thankfully, David Bowie was playing in the background and brought peace to the situation.
Half-Priced Books is my new favorite store.
My mom and I went on Wednesday, and we walked in to find a mini-Powells, with huge stacks of books, CDs, and stationary everywhere. There were hundreds of movies in wooden shelves that stretched halfway across the store. There was a music section with tons of CDs, new and old. I found Elvis Costello, David Bowie, Morrissey, the Beatles, Fall Out Boy, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, and Billy Idol, but ended up buying only one CD.
The teen section had more books than Barnes and Noble.
That section alone was bigger than the entire Used Book Store in Silverdale.
Maybe not.
But I found tons of stuff.
I ended up getting Princess Diaries #7 (the only one I needed besides the pesky 1/2 and 3/4 novels); two of my favorite books, "Chasing Redbird" and "The Boyfriend List"; "The Mother Daughter Book Club", which had cutesy tween illustrations on the cover and looked distracting; and David Bowie's "Changes"; and half a dozen books for my mom, all for only $32.
How amazing is that???
I haven't been this exciting since visiting Tacoma's Borders Books, where I bought two books for $7 each.
Borders is amazing...
...but Half-Priced Books is even better, I must say.
"Changes" is my new favorite song. Well, that and "Heroes". And "Diamond Dogs". And "Fame".
Ugh, my brother's friend is here and they're being irritating and pre-teen-y.
He was playing with Hillary, my Darth Sidious doll (long story).
Just playing around like it was totally okay.
It was not okay.
But I just kept my mouth shut and made grilled cheese.
It was a pretty delicious sandwich, too.

Planning will make it worse!!
One good thing has come from me being sick:
I've mastered Schwing State.
For the most part.
I got up to South Carolina, which is pretty great.
Colonel Brandon...
He's everything we could ever want...
He's rich, romantic, attentive...
...and is probably going to die soon.
I know, that's terrible.
But even though he was only 35 in the book, people back then didn't live past 45 often, so his happy ending with Marianne didn't last long.
Aaaah, my computer is making scary beeping noises!!!
With sort of a cha-cha beat....

Your Personality Cluster is Introverted Feeling |
You are: You are tolerant, flexible, and open to new ideas. You are also a stickler for integrity and authenticity. You are totally passionate. You speak your mind about causes, beliefs, or politics. You are likely to have many "best friends" from many walks of life. |

The keyboard: I know it well
You Are "alt" |
Some people might find you to be strange, mysterious, and even a bit off putting. You tend to be drawn to and influenced by alternative lifestyles. You're definitely not normal. Once people get to know you, they realize you're interesting, intriguing, and very intelligent. You have a lot of knowledge stored in that big brain of yours. Most of it is useless knowledge, but some of it is very useful. |
I know for a fact I have been hint-y, but when people inquire as to what has made me so incensed, I'm all vague, and, "Oh, nothing."
If you've ever experienced this with me or anyone, I sincerely apologize.
Because now I know how annoying it is.
All my friends are kind of depressed.
But life goes on.
Which is really kind of depressing.
Hopefully the Crazee Chickens will cheer them up.
Because nothing cheers people up like a Crazee Chicken.
They were out of yellow, though, so they'll have to make do with taupe and off-white.
Black and pink decorations.
Kind of anti-party, yet too trendy teenage girl.
Oh well. Not everything can be perfect.
My mom thinks I'm part of a Mr. Darcy situation.
I hope with all my heart and soul that I'm not.
Seriously. I hate that guy SO much.
Which apparently means true love.
That area of my life is already very complicated. Threefold.
My cup runneth over. But not my bra size.
Because that would be just wrong.

Aaron Carter makes a comeback
Where has Aaron Carter gone? Back to the Abyss, where he belongs??
Because SOMEONE was singing "I Want Candy" all day today.
Ironically, he wouldn't buy any of my chocolate.
Really, if this is the age where chilren are super cynical and text better than they can talk, WHY do adults feel the need to "teach" us how to USE THE INTERNET??
We sat in the library for HALF AN HOUR in English because the librarian had some "interesting" and "useful" things to teach us.
It's like telling kids not to touch each other inappropriately or use racial slurs for the MILLIONTH time.
They already KNOW it.
And my table was all set and ready to check out a book, but the librarian took so long that we had a minute left in the period by the time she was done.
Aaargh.
Ha.
So far, Mr. Rosendale has been my biggest seller with 7 bars, followed by Mr. Freeman with 5, and John with 4 or 5.
Mr. Hurd bought an Almond bar with 75 pennies and 1 quarter.
And he doesn't even like chocolate.
"Eagle Eye" is coming out at midnight on Friday. Aaargh. Shia LaBoeuf.
His name means Shia the Beef.
Francois Truffaut was totally cynical, but kind of amazing. Mr. Anspach wants to show "Wild Child", but I kind of want to see "Jules and Jim".

What have we become??
You Should Vote for John McCain |
Where you and John McCain agree: Abortion - Health Care - Immigration - The War in Iraq Where you and John McCain disagree: Cuba - Education - Global Warming - Taxes |
No way. If John McCain is the candidate I agree with MOST, and we only agree half the time, what's the point?
I guess it's good I'm not 18.
I was reading about Rudy Giuliani today and he was kind of a jerk.
Oh yeah, and according to "Freakonomics", his stupid NYPD didn't do anything to lower crime rates.
Okay, I took the quiz again and did the opposite of what I DID agree with, and it said I should vote for Bob Barr.
Who is he?? And I only agreed with him for 3 out of 8 issues!!!
Fun, a musical survey.
Too bad my browser sucks.

And I thought I needed serious mental help....
O.o
I like how all I ever do now is read Harry Potter, look up Sims 2 videos, and blog.
When I'm not at school, anyways.
AAargh. I want to watch a Harry Potter karaoke party. REALLY BAD.
Hm.
Still trying to convince myself to grow a spine.
Math is pretty amazing.
And I'm pretty sure I passed the science test.
Apparently I'm a Romance Sim. That sort of depresses me.
I'm not sure if I should be worried or laughing....
Dododododododo.
Hey, tomorrow's Thursday.
Crap.

Stop getting up for the letdown.
HAHAHAHA I'm back. Finally. I tried to get online Saturday and it wouldn't work for a few days, but my dad fixed it.
:P "Snakecharm" sucked. Seriously, I was still on a high from reading "Hawksong", but it faded pretty fast. I mean, first of all, it's written in Zane's point of view. Danica has suddenly become all wimpy and annoying, and there's this whole thing with falcons and Rei and pregnancy. The ending was way too easy. Now the next book isn't even about Zane and Danica! It's about the stupid falcons. Raaaah.
:O MY MOM HASN'T EVEN READ "PRIDE AND PREJUDICE"!!! After all these years, the truth finally comes out.
"Pride and Prejudice" is very slow. Miss Bingley is way desperate.
Wth, Tyler, I still can't figure out the clue.
Mmm, cookies.
So the Sims are good. Amelie moved out and Nathalie had another baby, only she's becoming an elder in three days, so she'll be old and dying before the baby grows up, and she'll most likely be raised by her older brother and sister. Weird.
Must blog about unicorns, lol.
I love cheeseballs.
I hate boys.
But other than that.
I was going to post something on my top 10 favorite albums, but I guess later since I'm "doing homework". Lol.

I've got all the time in the world
If you look in my heart, you'll know from the start, it's all I can do not to think about you.
OMG, JUMP5!!!!
This CD is so amazing. I should put "Spinning Around" on my ipod, too. But forealz. I pulled out that one Jump5 album the other day and it just wasn't as good as this one. Probably because they copied all these other songs by Earth Wind & Fire and stuff.
But seriously. I still know the words and stuff.
Yeah.
Tyler is driving me insane. WHO IS SHE AND WHY IS IT HER BIRTHDAY? I guess I only care because you kept bringing it up.
Drake spelled my name right? Whoa.
Lol, hilarious quest in the computer lab during science. I dropped my book behind the desk and I couldn't get it out, so Aisha saved it and she is my hero. And then Quintin pushed Drake behind the desk thingy. It was violent...and funny.
Heh. "To our cool summer song...."
Ew, speaking of books, I'm reading a really crappy one. It sucks a lot. It's like Esther, only the people are polygamous and the culture doesn't exist. SUCKS SO BAD. It's called "The Princess Academy". :P Miri is way annoying.
Chelsea told me it was a good book. But whatever, kids.
Um um um um um pants.
Okay, if you can get a maximum of 90 points on a French test, how in the world do you get 93? "I got 93!!!" "You can only get 90." "83. Whatever." Yeaaaah...
There's a new kid in office. He's pretty cool.
I UNDERSTAND MATH. How did this come about?
I also finished a cross word puzzle in 30 minutes. :) It's all good.
