The Epic of Gilgamesh

Ooooooooooh. I know I failed that history test. I don't think anybody studied, or even read the chapter.
At least Mr. Hurd gave us freebies.
Tyler looks surprisingly good with his head shaved. And the seedlings are really soft.
It's kind of like he's always had a shaved head.
Though he does sort of look like a skinhead.
Ugh, people who think they're utterly superior bug me.
I guess that's why I won't be going to UW.
It's just annoying when my friends start acting that way.
And I know I act that way about some things.
I just never knew how annoying it could be.
Youth group SUCKS. It's like everytime I go is some new drama.
So I'm minding my own business and I get hit in the face with a ball, hitting me square in the nose and popping both lenses out of my glasses.
Nice, guys. Real nice.
So I start crying and Sierra had to fix my glasses and some guy (whose name I never learned) got me some ice.
That set the stage for a wonderful evening.
And my nose still hurts. At first, my mom told me it wasn't broken, but now she's saying it might be.
Ugh. All I know is it's even larger than normal.
My dad was listening to a pastor on the radio talk about homosexuality, and he supposedly "drove his point home" by stating, "Homosexuality was a non-issue until the Bible came out."
And that was supposedly a REALLY good point that showed how wrong homosexuality really is.
?????
Seriously?? If I were a non-Christian, that would just convince me that the Bible is stupid and homophobic and God is screwed up.
I think my dad wants grandchildren. He snatches up every baby he sees.
Well, no, he doesn't, because that would be weird.
But when there's a baby at our house, he's like, "Baby! *scoop*" and holds it for 12 hours.
Matt was pregnant, but he gave birth and someone stepped on the baby. OUR baby.
Then he kept sucking on that stupid smoothie.
"Can I have some brown sugar Pop Tarts?"
"Cherry?"
"You're going to ruin your life! RUIN IT!"

PINK TEAM!!

PE was pretty intense today. We split into teams, and Alexis, Kevin, Tori, Sarah, and I were on the PINK team. We wore flamboyant jerseys and yelled, "PINK team!!" So you can tell it was fun for everyone else, too, lol. :P
We were also the "Muscular Strength" team. Yeaaah, strong...PINK team!!
Then Mr. Freeman had us play this soccer-ish game where we kicked the ball around and has to exercise the 5 components of fitness if we lost.
Corum bruised my shins SOOOO bad.
Kelsey practically tackled me to the ground.
Ben is hilarious. And he bought a chocolate bar off me. So he's pretty much my new best friend.
Ha, I love the pink team.

I love how completely untrue those were.
Ugh, Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge is so LAME!! I have really big families that eat a lot and don't really do anything exciting.
And there are NO fortune OR romance Sims??
And there are too many elders. :P I tried playing with my first family, but nothing exciting happened, and all my Sims almost DIED because there weren't enough beds!! So I used "maxmotives". And I wasn't even sorry.
I sort of wasted my money on "Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff". Just clothes.
HISTORY WAS SO AMAZING!!! We had to make pyramids, and Maricel made one out of Starbursts and Pez!! It was pretty epic. And then she let us EAT IT!!
Then Ariel unveiled the pyramid cake she had made the night before, and let us eat THAT!!
Why is it that the best moments of my life involve food rather than people?
Hmmmm....
The chocolate bar sale is ON!! Cherrydale Farms. Heh. Pretty delicious. I've sold 19 so far. Only 23 more to go!!

888...the number of the beast?

Ha, Iron Maiden is too cool.
Yeah, today is 8/8/08 and I'm freaking out right now.
Cuz that's pretty cool.
If you're a nerd like me.
Here I sit, sporting my brand new WSU T-shirt. It looks pretty sweet, if I do say so myself.
Tie is almost back to normal, I think. She's still depressed and itchy (probably because she misses Nathan; she did pee on his bed), but she went on two walks and played tug-of-war for about 2 seconds before the next mood swing hit.
*shakes head* Girls.
Iliza Schlesinger won "Last Comic Standing"!!! Wow, who knew? It was between her and Marcus, and she pulled it off. And she's the first woman to win...EVER.
Last night's finale was sort of lame, though. They had Jon Reep, John Lovitz, and some guy off E! perform. Jon Reep was funny, as always. I still love it when he says "Hickory".
But Bill Belamy and Fearne Cotton didn't really have anything to do, so they compromised by telling stupid jokes (Bill), making loud screeching noises (Bill), forcing laughter at all the comics' jokes (Fearne), making weird hand gestures (also Fearne), and looking awkward (again, Fearne).
GROSS, I looked in the mirror without my retainers on and I looked like Demi Lovato!!
No, that's not a good thing!!
But when I showed off my hideous new teeth and turned my head to the side, I WAS Demi Lovato!
Only, you know, taller and myopic.
We even have the same really large cleft chin and bangs!
WHAT IS GOING ON????
It kind of screwed up my entire day.
Because I went through 6 years of dental torture so they could make me look like Demi Lovato.
So no, Mom, I don't think this stupid braces business was worth it AT ALL.
I have half a mind NOT to wear these stupid retainers.
But, of course, I only have half a mind.

Itchy, drugged terriers need cream cheese.

We just got Tie back from Courtney and she is thoroughly miserable. Courtney took her to a park and Tie got fleas.
????
We've taken Tie to parks before and she's never gotten fleas.
So she's not acting like herself at all.
She mostly stays in her bed and when, she does get up, flinches and bites herself so much that she runs back to bed.
She still hasn't finished food from dinner.
And she didn't drink for hours, so when she finally did, she drank almost the whole bowl.
I'm really worried about her, but my mom gave her a cream cheese pill and some flower oil, so she said she'd be okay.
I hope.
:(

What Your Playing Cards Tell About Your Future

Right now you are focusing on friendships, relationships, and interpersonal connections.

Your emotions are currently tied to a trusted woman in your life. She is just, and she has your best interests at heart.

Your closest friend is someone you have a co-dependent relationship with. The two of you desperately need each other to survive.

The near future will bring you a long term friendship, children you love, happy family relationships, and prosperity.

Beware of a forced change. The circumstances of your life are about to become very different.

Sure....
I had a drive at 11 AM today, but it was fun because it was around town, not just in the older part of town, which SUCKS because there are no stoplights or landmarks. Today, Ed had us drive to the mall, Dairy Queen (we didn't buy anything), and go around a roundabout.
Driver's Ed was sort of fun. Phoebe and I had to plan a road trip from Silverdale to WSU.
Which, funnily enough, is the route I took a couple days ago.
Too, too funny.
But the trip itself had to take at least 5 days, and we had to make 6 recreational stops.
So we went to the Space Needle (or the Space Noodle, in Jeff's words), the EMP, Mount Baker, Soap Lake, some other fantastic lake, and Nathan's best friend's family's house.
Which is where I stayed 2 days ago. Ha.
I'M GETTING MY BRACES OFF TOMORROW!!!!
Toffee for LIFE!
Yes, there will be a retainer, but WHO CARES?

Masochism Day: Painfully Good

Have you ever drunk two very caffeinated sodas and, as a result, were unable to sleep until the wee hours of the morning?
If not, I don't reccomend it.
Mountain Lightning is good and all, but it's pretty powerful for a cheap version of Mountain Dew.
So, when Saturday was just beginning and everyone else was sleeping, I was wide awake reading "The Jane Austen Book Club" and thinking about very random things. Or rather, one thing that wasn't so random.
It was weird.
So I decided today should be Masochism day, a day where people all around the world revisit old memories and take part in activities that are sure to cause them harm or discomfort.
That's sort of what I've been doing today.
I drove all the way to Walmart - on the highway!!
I also did a BLT whilst going very fast, and almost hit 3 people.
Oops.

Love is an overused word...but Kimberly Kirberger believes every teenager has been in love?? The big debate

Aaargh, not in a good mood, thanks to Tie.
Let's just say the neighborhood dogs have had enough of her and my finger has seen better days.
I got my learner's permit today, and I'm starting Driver's Ed tomorrow. Fun. XP It sounds a lot like science class: extremely boring. I mean, fun. Because there's nothing I'd rather do than take notes on what some old guy has to say about turn signals and parking brakes.
I wish they would warn you when they take the photo. The lady just told me to hold that smile. So of course I decide to look to the side and smile over THERE when the camera goes off. Yeah, I'm not stupid or anything. It was so bad, they let me take another picture.
My mom took me to a used bookstore, and we looked through the paltry Christian fiction section. About 11/12 of the bookcase was "Inspirational Christian Romances". "Love's Unending Promise" and all those stupid prairie books were among them. They did have some Judy Baer books, though. Argh, but Frank Peretti? Don't even bother reading his books. 9 times out of 10 the end has to do with angels and demons. "The Oath", however, had to do with a dragon that ate everyone's sin. Sorry I spoiled it. But I read parts of his books aloud to my mom to show her how ridiculous he is, and the old ladies in hats kept glaring at me.
Whatever. That's what they get for blocking the entire row when I wanted to get by to look at the Princess Diaries books.
My mom let me get this Chicken Soup book. I don't know why I picked it up, but I secretly love Chicken Soup, and this one was for Teens (with a capital T) on "Relationships".
It's pretty cheesy. The author means well, because she says in the intro that adults can be condescending and patronizing and that she won't give advice that falls into either category. But every other page has a cheesy crappy love poem on it. One was about falling into the abyss, and I seriously thought it was about hell until the final line of the poem said something about "falling into the arms of love".
Wow. Okay. Thanks, Christy Miller.
And the author truly believes that there is someone out there for everyone.
I'm not trying to sound hopeless or cynical (well, okay, I am trying to sound a little cynical), but I don't agree. Some people never find anyone, and there's nothing physically or emotionally wrong with them. They're just not meant to find anyone, I guess. Which sucks, don't get me wrong, but if there was really someone for everyone, why don't they find anyone? And the author says that if someone doesn't love you back, it's not because there is something wrong with you. But she also says relationships won't work if you don't love yourself, and you have to open yourself to love. So, essentially, if you're not getting any (or you're just eternally single), you're not opening yourself to love. Either that, or you don't love yourself. There have been people that are very self-confident (and not cocky or anything) and open to love that haven't found anyone!! They just don't!! And they're not doing anything wrong, though they feel like they are. No, I'm not an expert on love, but, interestingly enough, the author of the book is SINGLE!! So she can't exactly prove that there is someone for everyone when she has no one.
Argh. It just bugged me.
There's a chapter on unrequited love that I'm sort of looking forward to. Just because that's something everyone goes through, and it's nice to know I'm not the only one.
Wow. That sounded very emo and bitter. Trust me, I try not to dwell on crap like that. I just like being able to relate to people who have had the same experiences as myself.
That still sounded emo and bitter.
I think I need some time alone.

George Bush's got nothing on me

Ooooh man. We had THE REVOTE today.
I've been keeping that information relatively secret for two weeks, agonizing over a decision that will affect the entire student body, hoping the results will stay the same.
That was pretty stressful. Drew was out sick, so Mr. Barry had to call and tell him the news. Joanne and Dana, who are usually pretty calm, were really bummed.
Why can't the staff and current ASB count the ballots? Machines suck!
I want nothing more than to eat something delicious and chocolate.
Like cheesecake.
Or a Dove ice cream bar.
HAVE YOU HAD THOSE??? THe chocolate is so thick!!
Mrs. Laners brought Belgian chocolates into the office.
I had two.
Snack switching. Connor's never had a Twinkie?
Daniel ripped out my hair.
Kevin is sliding out of his shirt.
Tyler's hair is back to normal!!! Which is weird, because it's not his actual color.
Sarah pretty much cracks me up. We shared a chicken sandwich.
And I'd been so looking forward to pizza, too.
Jessica pwned us all in math. The whales were going extinct, but Mr. Kovacs didn't know what kind. Maybe sperm whales.
Baby beluga in the deep blue sea, swim so wild, swim so free....

If tomorrow is today, then today's yesterday will be yesterday's today, and the windows STILL won't be done!

Today was kind of boring, so I'm going to pretend today was yesterday.

You Should Live in the Suburbs

Like many people, you like the city - but you don't want to live in it.

For you, the suburbs is the perfect compromise.

You can enjoy the city as much as you want, but you have a quiet, safe neighborhood to come home to.

Mwahaha, "Carmen" is so cool. Don Jose is quite the hottie. So is the head smuggler - he has some nice guyliner. Don Jose is kind of ugly when he sings, though. And Mr. Caley told us he had cancer while filming "Carmen". That's a nice picture for you.
Learning about the iambic pentameter is pretty interesting. And it sounds like the horses from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".
Mrs. Sims doesn't like poop. Heh.
OMG!!! We did a problem in math about global warming, and we got in a fight about whether or not global warming is real (sure, it's real, but it's not as big a deal as James Patterson makes it out to be), and Mr. Kovacs was like, "It's hard to believe in global warming when it's freezing outside." So Danny started talking about Al Gore and "An Inconvenient Truth", and Mr. Kovacs said, "Oh yeah? Well, I've met Al Gore and he's pretty crazy."
:O
So we asked him about that, and he told us how on the submarine, Al Gore wanted to take chunks of ice from the ocean and drag them to New York to give the people fresh water.
And he also makes a big deal about flourescent lightbulbs, which have mercury in them, which will probably kill us all if there are any dangerous chemicals in the room and one of the lightbulbs break. Strangely enough, the warning labels on the lightbulbs are pretty small.
After that, Danny was still like, "...but you met Al Gore???"
Best. Math class. Ever.
Aargh, they made us go to the West Technical Skills Center and learn about automotive technology. One of the culinary students gave me a cookie shaped like a spoon. It was pretty tasty. Our tour guide made us do an obstacle course and jump over walls. Then the head guy made me draw names for bracelets, mugs, and hats.
Ugh, field day sucks. I hit myself in the face with a javelin. No lie.

Your Personality at 35,000 Says...

Deep down, you prefer spending time alone to spending time with others. You enjoy thinking more than talking.

You are finding your place in the world, but you still feel overwhelmed. There's a lot of choices out there!

Your gift is having good ears. You are naturally musical, and you pick up foreign languages easily.

You are inspired by what is possible. Real life is often too ordinary for you.

It's very easy for you to feel happy. You can find peace with any situation.

Mwahaha, purchasing itunes!!!

Plonked me between the eyes, like a bullet!

Mr. Caley made us watch part of "Carmen" in French yesterday. Pretty hilarious. So it's basically about a prostitute with impressive vocal abilities.

You Are Electronic Music

You are energetic and expressive. You love feeling alive.

You never get sick of your favorite things - they're what makes life special.

You don't take tradition or conventions too seriously. You live for the future.

You enjoy remixes and re-interpretations of things. Life is about making improvements.

Really?
Are you sure?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah traaaaaaaaack. 8:45 on the mile isn't so impressive, but I'm pretty happy. Legs sore, though. Mr. Henrichsen made us do lunges for 100 yards. Up and down the football field. Aaaaaaagh.
Whoa. Blogthings knows all.

Your Dosha is Vata

Creative and restless, you take in all of life's pleasures (maybe a little too much!).

You're quick witted and very talkative, but you also tend to have a spotty memory.

You tend to get very into ideas, people, and lifestyles... but only for a short time.

It's difficult to hold your attention, and you sometimes feel with what life has to offer.

With friends: You are very uncomfortable in new situations or with new people

In love: You fall in and out of love very easily

To achieve more balance: Live in a warm climate and spend some quiet time in nature

WASL days are so boring. Field trip next week. Yaaaay. XP Sort of confused about what to do on the PEP thing.
My brain is completely empty of anything interesting to say.
Waaaaaait....
Lost it.
OMG, I'M GETTING MY BRACES OFF SOON!! Well, not soon, but RELATIVELY soon, like...in 4 months?? Maybe 6. I don't know, they said it would be SOON, but orthodontists have a different idea of the meaning of the word "soon".
I had a dream I was breaking into hotel rooms?
In a BIKINI?
Pretty cool.

Sunday, March 23, 2008

It's Easter day, let's clap our hands, clap our hands, clap our hands.

Lachlan was singing, so I had to write it down.
"The Final Warning" was VERY disappointing.
Don't get me wrong, Max is as charming and clever as ever, but it got really preachy about global warning, and I got really tired of the whole, "I'm 14 and have faced tougher life challenges than you," thing, and to listen to her complain about not having a stable family wasn't fun, either.
Then the flock members started getting new powers galore!!! Iggy can see and tell colors (even though he's blind!!)!! Nudge can call metal objects to her!! Angel can be adorable at will! Fang can blend in with his surroundings!! And the Gasman can make mega farts!!!
Surprisingly, Max has no new powers.
I don't know, it seems kind of Mary Sue-ish. Something that Christopher Paolini would try to pull off, not James Patterson.
But I've been wrong before.
And I thought there would be resolution, loose ends would be tied, Fang and Max would quit being morons and act like they like each other.
Also, since the Voice turns out NOT to be Jeb (whaaaat? Way to change your mind, James), Total gets REALLY annoying, and the Faxness goes nowhere.
They kiss ONCE. And Max is like, "I like it...NOT!" She runs away and they never speak again.
Then Fang starts hanging out with Brigid, a 21-YEAR-OLD SCIENTIST. 21!!! AND SHE'S HITTING ON HIM!!! THAT IS SO ILLEGAL!!!! Of course, Max is jealous, and starts writing POETRY.
Poetry. *shakes head*
Fang keeps up his lame blog. I'm sorry, but I've never liked it. He even admits to being an emo. The whole dark and brooding thing? Yeah, not so attractive anymore.
And there's going to be a sequel. The ending just SCREAMED for one. Darn. I guess that's cool, but if the next one gets preachy about gun control and the right to choose, I might just self mutilate.

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

Zac Efron would be proud.

I really love these jeans. They're all denim-y and faded in the right places...but soft faded, like they're worn in, rather than "obvious acid-wash".
In other news, WE WON OUR FIRST BASKETBALL GAME TODAY!!!! AND I CONTRIBUTED!!!
Okay, it was one freethrow, but STILL!
And the team wasn't even that good (0-3, just like us, only now we're 1-3 and they're 0-4!!!), but STILL!!
We went out knowing we could win and came out ACTUALLY WINNING! BY THREE POINTS!
The refs were a little weird, but I guess they always are. Still, they would call pivots "travels" and called everything a foul, so by the end each team had more than 20 fouls.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of the greatest people that ever lived, but I'm having a lot of trouble reading his "I Have a Dream" speech. Maybe because my dad's playing Black Sabbath upstairs. Or because my teeth are all weird.
Agh, speaking of teeth, the orthodontist, idiot that she is, decided I need to wear a cross band, meaning I have to wear a rubber band that crisscrosses across my mouth and prevents me from opening my mouth, talking properly, and eating. I can't even chew gum anymore. It really hurt a while ago, but the Motrin kicked in. The more I wear it, the sooner it comes off, but seriously? I look SO STUPID. Now my bite's all messed up.
Tyler and I need to switch voices so people stop thinking he's gay and I'm a lesbian.
I sort of gave up on Robin McKinley's "Deerskin". It got really boring once she ran away into the forest. I know it's a really good book and all I and could've stuck with it, even during the boring parts, but really? White dress? Silvery dog? Incest? And an implied miscarriage? Not getting it.

Baby, baby

"Congo" was made into a movie! I'd like to maybe see it, but people get their skulls crushed with giant paddles. Um, what? That's not something I'd like to see. Whoa, I didn't know Munro was black. I HATE KAREN ROSS! The book was okay, but the end was kind of lame. I thought there would be more gorillaness and death. Ooooh, Munro was white in the book. Thought so. Michael Crichton is a genius.
So I'm head of the Talent Show comittee now?
Because I love cookie dough ice cream?
But the Honors Society meeting went well today. We broke the talent show into chunks and had people sign up for different things. Yaaay, I get to be an MC. :P
I got fudge 5th period. Bam.
Oh, and peanut clusters. But I couldn't eat very many. Curse you, Hein.
I went to Amanda's house, where she proceeded to beat me with blunt objects while Kevin insulted me via the telephone.
French: make your family tree. Ooookay.
I got a candy cane. Thank you???

And scene

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah it's good to be back.
True, I was only in Port Ludlow for two days.
And that's like half an hour away.
And I practically had all the comforts of home (except I forgot the generator for the Gamecube so I couldn't play that, but I'm not really complainin).
And good food.
But it's nice to be back.
I only have three cousins left in the world. Well, not really, but most are hecka older than me and are at college, so I'm the oldest cousin now, followed by William, then Braeden, then the twins.
All my cousins are mentally insane.
OMGEEZ, A DIGIMON POLL!!!!
I voted for Kari and TK...of course.
Best couple EVER.
I HATE DAVIS.
Pretty much.
We listened to HSM 2 a lot in the car. If there's ever another HSM play in the area, I will be Sharpay. She's so evil. I LOVE IT!
I'm reading "The Pursuit of Happyness", the autobiography of Chris Gardener, and it's way depressing. So far it's mostly about his early childhood and his teen years, and he had an abusive stepfather, he lived in the ghetto, and he got raped by some random guy who stole some stuff he was hustling. So sad.
Ugh, I think my estrogen levels are up today, cuz I keep crying about random things. I was watching "Pooh's Heffalump Movie" and it made me want to cry. Then I was watching "The Parent Trap", with Lindsay Lohan, and that's like my favorite movie ever, but even the crappy finale with Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson brought tears to my eyes. AAAAAAAAAAAGH.
Pretty much. I love you all!!!
Sharpay-ly yours...Duck.

And the party never has to stop.

YAY that was pretty amazingly envigorating, kids.
And this quiz felt pretty appropriate.
You Are a Log Ride

You prefer to live a fairly calm, relaxed life... with a few surprises thrown in.
You don't tend to get yourself worked up easily. You can roll with what life throws at you.
In relationships, you are steady and solid. You maintain a pretty broad perspective on what's going on.
That's not to say you can't get swept away. You're emotions run as deep as anyone else's.

Your life seems like it has been remarkably easy so far. But that's due to how you manage it.
You never stretch yourself too thinly, and you think out your decisions carefully.
Taking the time to enjoy each day is important to you, and you don't let your emotions rule you.
You stay the course and do what's right... knowing it will all work out in the end.

At your best, you are tolerant and understanding of other people's quirks.
You take "go with the flow" to the extreme. Even if you don't like where you're going.
At your worst, you repress your feelings and end up being a little tightly wound.
You definitely have some explosive emotions that occasionally come to the surface!

Wow, that was fairly accurate. The whole "at your worst thing" anyway.
Yeah. Pretty crazy.
Let's just save I love fairs. Carnivals. Whatever.
There were a million 4-H animals. Especially horses. :) We watched Emily's friend pwn in the halter/showmanship thingy. Patriot was so beautiful. She ended up getting second in her first show. There were so many paints, it was craaaaazy.
I loved the rabbits, but realized Luke would never ever ever be a show animal. It was slightly depressing. He wouldn't sit on the table with a nice posture, and he'd sweat and his nails would be discolored. But kind of funny, because he'd probably attack the judge.
My nose is all sunburned. I watched a really stupid hypnosis presentation. Some old guy made out with his wife and stuffed napkins down his pants and did a tap dance. The mood ring I bought it sort of a fluke, I guess, because the whole time it said I was in love or having wild sex. When I got mad at it, it turned blue green, which means relaxed. Bull. But it looks nice. It's a little star.
Hm. So I married Oliver Wood. And we had a kid named Christopher Oliver Wood. Personally, I like the name Michael better.
Dang. Athena and Destiny are like the best girl's names ever. Pretty much, yo.
Lol. We only went on three rides. Hangliders is amazing. I hope we get to fly in heaven. Either that or play Quidditch, because I would pretty much be the best Quidditch player ever. On the Ferris Wheel, I was watching two little kids and they kept saying, "Oh no, we'll get stuck here forever and die!" It was pretty amusing. The Octopus was cool and only a little painful. My head still hurts.

Rhett Butlah...it's got the whole Southern thang going on...

Grrrr, "She's Out of Control" is making me way angry. It's a lot better than the first one, and there's more of Dr. Kevin (ooer), but Seth is still a dork. HATE HATE HATE. He's suddenly appearing at Ashley's door being all, "Come with me to India. Please please please." And she's all, "Um, we're kind of broken up and I don't want to go to India."
CRAPPY RESPONSE OF THE CENTURY: Oh...I just wanted to know that the woman I love would follow me anywhere.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH HE MAKES ME SO ANGRY!
And he's bald.
I'm not against baldness in a Chris Daughtry way, but this kid is so annoying...baldness does not become him.
My dad bought the "High School Musical 2" soundtrack last night. He made me listen to it with him so he wouldn't feel ashamed. Only he made me listen to it with him at 7:00 A.M.
HE MADE ME WAKE UP AT 6:00!!!!
I know I'm going to have to do this 5 days a week come September, but come on. It was pretty hellish.
But I got my new military ID today. My old one expired 2 weeks ago. My new one has the world's crappiest picture. I swear, I look like a man. If Sirius Black had glasses, I WOULD BE HIM.
It's really freezing today. It's all rainy and stuff. I zipped up my sweatshirt and I look like a nerd AND it's not helping. XP
Yeah, kids. I'm going back upstairs and reading my book. DOWN WITH SETH!

Shake it, break it, fake it, take it...yeah

Mothers should not be allowed to go underwear shopping.
All that stuff they tell you when you first start puberty that your mother has gone through this before and she can help you fully reach your womanly potential, and she will ease the pain, bla bla bla, is such a lie.
Because when you buy bras and such, she shows NO SHAME. I mean, it's not like bra shopping hasn't gotten easier from the time you were, what, 11? to the time you are...not 11, but you it's not easy to look people in the face while you are discussing sports bra vs. demi cup with your MOTHER, of all people.
I'd personally rather go shopping with one of the Victoria's Secret Angels, because they know a lot about this type of thing, and they're so hot that people walking by wouldn't be paying any attention to anything they said.
They're busy staring at their unmentionables, if you know what I'm saying... ;)
So besides that little shameworthy detail, we went to Walmart and bought school supplies and necessary articles of clothing, including things with Carebears on them (tee hee :D), black pants (my first pair of non-denim pants in like...2 years), and a shirt that says, "I'm not a model, I just look like one."
Surprisingly, I found that in the guy's section.
I'm going to write a letter to the president and have him ban changing rooms. I was all feeling good about my body until I had to change into some really hideous jeans. I hate my legs. And I have pretty much the smallest boobs in existence. Which makes for a fun filled shopping trip for anybody. YAY! So I had to jump up and down three times whilst hugging myself chanting, "My body, myself. I love my body, therefore I love myself!" And it worked! Not.
I didn't actually jump up and down and chant.
And I hate it when Brio feels like telling me, "If you hate your body, chant, 'I am the daughter of the King,' over and over and you'll feel beautiful!" Wouldn't that just make you mad at God? For giving you a bad body, I mean? Or what you think is a bad body? Doesn't sound too positive to me.
Awww, underwear with little guitars and skulls on it! Rats, it's a thong!
So I just played "Guitar Hero" with William the whole time.
Does anyone else hate it when their parents leave them randomly alone in the mall/store? Because if it was one of those mall stores that are like 5 feet by 5 feet, that would be okay, but my mom will randomly leave me alone in Target and then get all offended when I get mad because I can't find her. Raaah. And people glare at me as I storm through the store trying to find her. Yeah, read this body language, jerk.
And I guess part of it is she's assuming that I will stay doing the same thing for 1+ hours. If it was "Guitar Hero", of course, but she said something like, "After this we're leaving," and then leaves and when I find her she's like, "Why are you all upset, we're busy shopping for school supplies." WTH?
I don't know why I'm rambling on and on about trivial things like underwear shopping and Guitar Hero and Walmart and lack of communication skills. I'm thinking it's hormones. That is most unfortunate. Must have some more chocolate.

Funky...like a funk...in funk town

What the heck is wrong with everyone?
And is this the beginnings of empathy to be forced to feel everyone's pain?
It seems like everyone's on about something.
It's like no one ever talks anymore.
Coming from a big hypocrite, I know.
Seeing as I don't tell people I'm mad at them because I hope it'll blow over.
But then it just gets bigger and bigger and I gorge on chocolate and it isn't pretty.
But anyways.
I personally don't see the point in just walking up to someone and being like, "BTW, I'm freaking mad at you, so don't p*** me off or I'll rip your head off."
But then if everyone waited for the other person to come to them, what would be the point?
WHY IS EVERYTHING SO CONFUSING???
And so I was sent into a confused and sort of guilty funk.
Until I played "Magic Daisy" on J14.com, which is hilarious, yo. It cheered me up quick.
And this movie cracked me up and made me smile.

He's so adorable.
I asked the Magic Daisy if Jason Dolley would ever love me.
She said it's all very fuzzy.
L-O-FREAKING-L!
That just made my day.
I wonder if anyone from camp reads this.
Because I miss pretty much all of you guys. Okay, all of you guys.
I bet they don't, seeing as my profile says Elizabeth Goodwin, who is a real person, just not me.
I can't help it if I'm obsessed with Harry Potter.
Okay, I guess I can.
Oh well.
This is Lauren, signing out.

One sweet day

I've been thinking what my reaction would be if I finally confronted all the people currently (and unknowingly) tormenting me today.
Wow. If I were them, I'd move as far away as possible.
And the one I'd probably rip apart already has. I don't know, it depends on what his opening line was. If he was all mean and crackheady like he was before, I'd either kill him or publicly humiliate him.
These are just some of the things running through my mind today.
Yeah.
"Singing Bee" was pretty sweet last night. I knew a lot of the songs. They played "This Love" and I finally found out that I got a lot of the lyrics wrong. Oh well. That song rocks.
I want that and "Makes Me Wonder" on my ipod. Maroon 5 is annoying, but they can groove.
She's nothing to me.
Evanescence. Pretty much.
Oh. That makes sense now.
Music hits me so hard/Makes me say oh my Lord/Thank you for blessing me/With a mind to rhyme and two hyped feet/Feels good when you know you're down/A superdope homeboy from the Oaktown/And I'm known as such/This is a beat uh you can't touch.
I'm memorizing this song for future reference.
My mom bought Hostess chocolate cupcakes. Party on.
Why can't all chocolate bars be 100% cacao? Would that ruin it all? PURE CACAO TASTES GOOD.
"I'm Jewish, but I'm not religious, because bacon is NICE."
WHAT THE HECK???
Opening line to the next verse to "U Can't Touch This": Fresh new kicks and PANTS
WHY PANTS?????

Mr. Magoriums Magic Emporium

I just discovered I'm a really horrible person.
Blah.
So basically I don't deserve to live. But neither does Elijah Woods.
I tried to Avada Kedavra myself, but I forgot that I don't have a wand anymore.
So there goes that.

I wonder if anyone actually believes I'm going to commit suicide.
Because, hello, I've voiced my opinions on the stupidity of suicide A LOT in the past two years.
And anyone who is suicidal, I feel bad but it also really p***es me off because there was one time when I thought someone I really cared about was going to kill themself so I tried to call them and stop them and I cried for like a day and it turns out it was about something really stupid and I didn't think they deserved to live.
See, there I go again. More of my horribleness.
I wonder if I would be coming to this conclusion under different circumstances. Hm. Maybe I should review at another part of the month...
Like in...a week.
Nah.
Not only am I horrible, but I'm so out of the loop.
So emo.
I should go read some Louise Rennison to cheer me up.
*GASP* CHANGING PROFILE YAY!

...and then her leg fell off!

Wow. "Ruffian" is probably the most depressing horse movie I've ever seen. And it was horribly written. That's the last time I watch an ABC Saturday night movie.
Okay, so there's this horse "Ruffian" and everyone is all, "Oh, she's a queen." I guess I REALLY don't know horses, because she was pretty, but I wouldn't be worshiping her like all the stable hands were.
So she's really fast and she wins all these races, bla bla bla.
There's this other horse, a colt, Foolish Pleasure, that's also winning all these races. So everybody's all, "If Ruffian's any good, she's gonna have to beat the colt!" And there's this whole Battle of the Sexes and the black guy buys a "Ruffian" shirt (btw, it's 1974 South Carolina, and there's no discrimination of any kind? Excuse me, my grandpa still refers to blacks as the n-word and doesn't think the government should allow them to live in his neighborhood.), but then Ruffian's leg falls off.
That's right. Falls off.
Okay, it didn't really fall off, but she did break it, and you saw it hang off the rest of her leg by a little bit of skin, and whenever she picked up her foot it would flop around and you saw the bloody end of it.
It was only a little gross. But my mom and Nathan were screaming and stuff. William and I were just like, "-_-"
I knew she was going to lose the race (because of all the obvious foreshadowing. "Oh, she's ahead! THere's no way she can ever lose, yip yip yip!"), but I hadn't forseen her leg falling off.
So Ruffian goes into surgery and the weird reporter that looks like Earl on "My name is Earl" was all, "She was 11 for 11; she was ahead when she broke down."
YAY, they fix RUFFIAN!
But then she breaks her other leg.
Seriously. She's all, "Wth, why do I have a cast on my leg, WOLVES, OMGEEZZZ, AAAAAAAH!" and her other leg falls off. You don't actually see it, though, you just hear the tearful trainer saying it sadly on the phone to the owners.
I swear, when she heard Ruffian was going to die, the owner's wife started laughing. Not even kidding.
So they put Ruffian down.
Uh, hello? WHat kind of movie was that?
Why couldn't they do an inspirational film about a horse that actually WON the big race?
Although I could see why they'd want to do a movie about her. I mean, she brought a lot of attention back to horseracing and she was 10 for 10 (or 11 for 11. Whatever.) and she was the first and only horse buried at Belmont.
And I'm sure they had a lot of fun taping the leg falling off part.
But aren't horse movies supposed to be happy and wonderful? I mean, the whole "miracle" vibe wasn't exactly flowing ("Wow, she grew another leg!" "Wow, she can run even faster with only 3 legs!" "We won't put her down! We'll sew her leg back on and have her be a riding horse for little kiddies!"). It was just like, "Wth? Why'd I just spend 2 hours watching that?"
Granted, I've only seen a few racing movies in my lifetime. I know, me, the horse freak, not into horse movies.
Let's see..."Black Beauty" (not a racing movie), "Black Stallion", "Dreamer" (awwww), I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN "SEABISCUIT!"
Church was really great last night. They had this worship group from some Christian college and they were amazing; very tight harmonies.
"Are you a Majesty groupie?" "Erm, no."
