Babies only like good things!

Because babies are pure and beautiful and could never be naughty or treacherous!
We had little kids over yesterday, and they kept calling Sully a "babyhead".
He countered with, "Oh yeah? Well, if I'm a baby, what are you?"
Their answer: "Chickens."
I'm so glad I have a girl dog.
Yep. That's all I have to say.
She smells terrible and we can't figure out why.
Besides her love of poop as a snack and her affinity for finding and rolling in dead things.
Are people really, REALLY that stupid?
In an EXTRA long English period (:P), Mr. Rosendale explained our poetry project, that none of us have started on (even though it's due Monday).
And no one got it.
They had the freaking directions out in front of them, yet none of them thought to read it.
Then they'd ask for ALL THE DETAILS AT ONCE, and, once given that information, would start hyperventilating!
"Too many details! Sensory overload! I'm confused! I don't get it!"
So frustrating. And they wasted the whole freaking period.
But Mr. Macaras let us sit outside after the quiz. Best math ever.
It's so hot outside. They say it will rain the rest of the week.
Oh well. 70 degrees in April is nice...
BBC did a terrible version of "Sense and Sensibility", and Betty Buckley ruined "Seasons of Love" for me forever.
:(
WHY?????????

Be dumb! It works!

Excellent book.
Perverted and sort of icky, but at least interesting.
He was 23!!!
Elizabeth Gaskell was (and is) overrated. BBC seems to be in love with her, but she's not that great.
Not that I've actually read her stuff.
But I plan to.
And the movies I've seen based on her work, that apparently stay very true to the books?
Not impressed.
"North and South" was a lot better than "Wives and Daughters".
But it still seemed like she had to pull a rabbit out of a hat to get the desired ending.
And she made all these random subplots that never went anywhere.
Take "North and South" for instance. Her brother is a CRIMINAL and will be KILLED if anyone finds out he's in England. A drunk catches him leaving the train station and almost turns him in, but Fred pushes him down the stairs and he later dies, making Fred not only a mutineer, but a MURDERER.
And, as you're waiting impatiently, wanting to know what will happen to him, Margaret (the main character) makes a side comment about him being happily married in Spain, and that's THAT. You never hear from him again.
Seems like a bunch of unnecessary drama.
Ugh, I HAAAATED Margaret soooooooooooo much. She was like a homeschooler on CRACK - everything she did was offensive, and she made no effort to try to understand people and the Northern culture. And Elizabeth Gaskell's main characters are always praised for speaking their minds in a time when women had no rights and being revolutionary and forthright and whatnot, but you didn't get the impression that Margaret was outspoken or revolutionary - just irritating. And out of ALL the characters, she grew the LEAST. Sure, she changed her opinion about the mill owner, but only because he was so dang attractive (mmmmmhmmm), and every stupid decision she made was justified by her idiot father, even if she disobeyed him by INVITING HER CRIMINAL BROTHER INTO THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!
John Thornton was a much better male lead than Roger "Moron" whatever-his-last-name-is.
The ending was really epic. Margaret randomly inherits money from her father's old friend, after EVERYONE ELSE DIES (seriously, at least 6 main characters kick the bucket), and moves back to London.
But, when she's riding away in the carriage after saying goodbye to Thornton, he's watching her go, almost crying, saying, "Look back. Look back at me."
But she doesn't. Because she's an idiot.
Then she moves to London with her gross aunt and her ditzy best friend and the creepy stalker with GROSS sideburns who had been stalking her since the beginning of the movie, and was STILL pouting over her rejecting his proposal!!!
Then Thornton loses the mill, but he and Higgins are best friends, so that's okay. Margaret makes a lot more money and buys the mill and visits Milton, where Thornton's mom chews her out for rejecting HER son as well, and Margaret's like, "Well, he IS rather attractive..."
ANYWAY, the epic part: she's on a train back to London, and Thornton's on a train back to Milton from Helstone (long story), and they both have a delay and their trains end up right next to each other, so they both leap out of the trains and start making out on a bench, while Henry "Gross sideburns" Lennox pouts in his car. Then Margaret goes into the train with Thornton and its a wonderfully happy ending with icky sideburns going home that night - ALONE!
And that's pretty much been my entire Spring Break, so far.
Besides graduating my Sims from college (finally) and spending time at the beach with my family.
My grandparents have been married 57 years. 57 YEARS. That's a long time.
Beaches are awesome. Even when it's a balmy 47 degrees outside with freezing winds.

What is the meaning of life?: Melancholics at their best

Wednesdays are the new Mondays.
Or maybe today was an exceptionally bad one.
Because, on most days, I tend not to get into catfights with other girls.
And my guy friends usually have their head on straight and know that "horrendous insult" is not synonomous with "friendship" and "sharing your feelings".
To top it all off, some guys PURPOSEFULLY blocked my way in the hall and thought it was pretty freaking fantastically hilarious, which might have been merely "annoying" on some days, but was catastrophic today.
I'm pretty sure I punched one of them, but I can't remember.
And it was going pretty well up until lunchtime.
So thanks, to my former friend.
And I actually felt BAD about yelling at that girl.
She might be ANNOYING and SEMI-IDIOTIC and what not, but really? She's never DONE anything to me, and I felt HORRIBLE after our "fight". Really awful.
Really, guys are SOOOO good at ticking me off. They're PROS at it.
They're pretty lame, especially in high school.
I mean, they're so SHALLOW. They're "best friends" with certain girls (okay, yeah, this is me we're talking about), but only "like like" the "pretty" (read: slutty) girls, and are completely lame about overweight girls (*cough cough* double standard*).
So girls like me whine about the guys we like NEVER LIKE US (which is...pretty true) and how about no guy will EVER LOVE US. Then some guy comes along and DOES like us, but he's nerdy or weird or we just don't like him, so he "doesn't count".
So really, girls are just as bad as guys, which means people, in general, SUCK.
Why is it that guys think it's cute when girls act stupid?
Really?
Why is that attractive?
I wouldn't want the person I'm dating to be an idiot, or to dumb themselves down in any way.
I suppose it makes guys feel superior or something. "Sweet, she has an IQ of 5 and I have an IQ of 6!! I'm wearing the pants in this relationship!"
Apparently the criteria for a girlfriend is someone who's "pretty" and "stupid" with big boobs.
And why is it that girls who actually HAVE boyfriends flirt with everything on two legs with a penis?
You have a guy who likes you, you moron. Leave some for the rest of us.
And the weird thing is: GUYS LIKE THAT.
Yaaaay, the sluttier you are, the better.
Hurray for the need for attention and inattentive fathers (since that's the excuse always give for this behavior).
How do dating relationships even come to be? One person likes another person, and that person is so flattered by the attention that they feel the need to have this poor sucker stroke their ego every day by holding hands with them in the hallway.
Seriously, asexuality MAKES SENSE!
Because either you're dealing with girls, who ACT stupid, or you're dealing with guys, who ARE stupid.
Hope you enjoy that round of venting from your [least] favorite nerdy freak.

Not exactly a white Christmas, more of an off-white, or a cream

I love how it's been snowy since Christmas. It snowed practically all day yesterday.
Ew, yesterday = NOT FUN. I woke up with this stomach flu that my little brother had on Christmas Eve. Soooo nasty. I puked up a LOT of chocolate cake. And I had a fever of 100.7, which is fairly low considering the temps people sometimes get to (104.3?), but it was all hot despite the snow outside. I got to sleep a lot, though, and eat Ritz crackers, so that was okay.
And I'm suddenly all better now.
AAARGH, one thing I'm NOT better about was this episode on "Tyra" about Gaydar, and some supposedly "scientific tests" to see if you could tell if someone was gay. It was supposed to be about breaking down barriers and forgetting stereotypes, but I think it just made the stereotypes we have more obvious. Ugh, Tyra is SUCH an idiot. I thought being a talkshow host required a brain, but I guess not, because Rosie O'Donnell, Oprah, and Rachael Rae are sort of lacking in that department. Also, SHE'S A SUPERMODEL!! Aaagh, but it's like she has NO PEOPLE SKILLS!! And there was this one guy who everyone thought was gay because he fit the effeminate gay stereotypes (he was, but that's not the point), but he started talking and everyone started laughing at him, and Tyra was all, "Ha ha ha, we don't even have to guess on that one!" Who even says that?
So yeah.
"Stardust" is actually a super good movie. SOOOOO much better than the book. Tristan looks a lot better once Robert de Niro gets his hands on him.
Lol, I got my dad to buy me the Hannah Montana soundtrack. He had this karaoke version that he plays for his students sometimes, but the vocalist was SO OBVIOUSLY not Hannah Montana. It was like some 40-year-old woman. Ew.
Ew, there's a Jesse McCartney song on there.
B5's song didn't suck as much as I thought it would, but no one can beat Earth, Wind, and Fire.
"Pop Princess" is my new favorite song. POP PRINCESS, HOLD MY HAAAAND, POP PRINCESS, I'M A FAAAAAN!

Lauren, do me a favor...

AAAAAAAGH! If you saw that in your e-mail, would you freak out? BECAUSE I DID!!! Totally did not use an elipses correctly.
Oh, it turns out it's an e-mail from Tyler. But HOLY CRAP! I was like, "Wth, what kind of favor? AND WHO ARE YOU?" Sorry, but free money just doesn't fly in my family. Because...because.
I like your hair, tho, Tyler. You look very Gerard Way.
Who else has noticed I have a tendency to overreact?
Don't be afraid to raise those hands. My reaction will not be violent.
It's just that even if I find something that I'm allowed to be mad about, I always misjudge the situation and end up being wrong. AARGH! *hits head on desk* *Bam! Bam! Bam!* Humble pie, humble pie.... So I apologize to everybody because I am dumb. Too much drama for me, mama.
Aaaah, I did not just say it.
I think TV has reached a happy medium. Here we have the incredibly crappy shows ("Cavemen", "Private Practice", etc.), and then we have some perfectly enjoyable television, mainly "Beauty and the Geek" and "Pushing Daisies".
I didn't talk about it last week, but JOSH AND HOLLIE!!!!! Aaargh, they should NOT have been voted out.
I'm glad Will and Rebecca got kicked out, tho. Rebecca was annoying. BUT I MISS JOSH!!!
Joshua and Shay make me laugh. And Luke is pretty funny. But he looks just like my band teacher???? I don't know. He acts sort of like him, too. I wonder if they are semi-related.
"Pushing Daisies" is nothing less than amazing. It's funny, creative, and suspenseful. The monkeys were pure genius.
"What's this?"
"It's for steering emergencies," he lied.
"Great. That's just what I thought," she lied.
And then they hold hands. Awwwww....
Just want to apologize again. To everyone I know. Because the whole thing was riduckulous.

Mr. Magoriums Magic Emporium

I just discovered I'm a really horrible person.
Blah.
So basically I don't deserve to live. But neither does Elijah Woods.
I tried to Avada Kedavra myself, but I forgot that I don't have a wand anymore.
So there goes that.

I wonder if anyone actually believes I'm going to commit suicide.
Because, hello, I've voiced my opinions on the stupidity of suicide A LOT in the past two years.
And anyone who is suicidal, I feel bad but it also really p***es me off because there was one time when I thought someone I really cared about was going to kill themself so I tried to call them and stop them and I cried for like a day and it turns out it was about something really stupid and I didn't think they deserved to live.
See, there I go again. More of my horribleness.
I wonder if I would be coming to this conclusion under different circumstances. Hm. Maybe I should review at another part of the month...
Like in...a week.
Nah.
Not only am I horrible, but I'm so out of the loop.
So emo.
I should go read some Louise Rennison to cheer me up.
*GASP* CHANGING PROFILE YAY!

On the lot

MORE PLAYLIST MOVIES! YAY! I'm having fun, I don't care if you're not.
Hehehe, the house all to myself! ONLINE!
I kind of want to play Harvest Moon but not really.
Anyways, here's...
On-The-Go: Our protagonist is a peppy, upbeat person. Opening song ("'Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today'", Fall Out Boy). They know they've been sitting in the shade too long and need to activate. ("Activate", Stellar Kart) But to do that, they need to get their head in the game. ("Get'cha Head In The Game", B5) So they start, um, bopping to the top. ("Bop to the Top", Ryan and Sharpay) MOTIVATIONAL MUSIC! ("Get Ready For This", 2 Unlimited) Our hero feels so good. ("I Feel So Good", KJ-52) Good enough to play POKEMON! ("Pokemon Theme Song", erm, Pokemon?) They feel like running a marathon. ("Marathons", Falling Up; this song isn't actually about running a marathon, but hey, the title) Uh, don't really know why I put this song on there... ("Apparitions of Melody", Kids in the Way) Or this one. ("Detainer", Day of Fire) Suddenly, all that goodness comes to a screeching halt. Someone has CHANGED THE REGIME! ("Regime Change", Disciple) Everything seems harder than the first time. ("Harder than the First Time", Barlowgirl) Our hero is living on a prayer ("Living on a Prayer", Stellar Kart), hoping someone will bring them back to life. ("Bring Me To Life", Evanescence) They press on. ("Press On", Relient K) And the last two songs were really fast and upbeat, so I put them on the playlist... ("Revolution", Dizmas; "Snitches and Talkers Get Stitches and Walkers", Fall Out Boy)
"Headlights" is such a funny song.
Hahahahaha.
Hm, according to this quiz, I will kill somebody.
Hm.
Not too far off.
Oooh, what clique am I in? The suspense is killing me.
SPEAKING OF SUSPENSE, WE HAVE "CINDERELLA STORY"!!! MUST WATCH!!
Eh, I'm gothic lolita? I don't even know who Mana is!!!
Oh well.
Some of the ninth graders reacted badly to the "Emo" on the back of my sweatshirt.
I've missed quizilla...
Hm, I should find some more bad Murtagh fanfics.
Maybe I could add that to my writing projects.
Let's see, there's the Star Wars fanfic I STARTED, couldn't keep going on, erased, then restarted, but haven't actually STARTED. That made no sense.
And then there's a realistic fiction thing that has two points of view that I want to start.
Could I tack on a Murtagh fanfic that doesn't involve too much work?
Just some fun, senseless, bad writing?
Like my soap was?
Only that wasn't so fun...
Yeah, I think so.
Only I wouldn't have it tie into the story and the character wouldn't sleep with Murtagh and...
Okay, I just read all the rest of the parts of the bad Murtagh fanfic I posted yesterday, and I have some things to say:
1. How long has she known Murtagh? Like a week? And they're sharing a tavern room? And he'll "never leave her side"? Are you sure? He didn't even heal her grievous wounds! Well, he sort of did.
2. AND HE BUYS HER A HORSE? EH?
3. The part where they shared the bed was so funny. I mean, I know he's a GUY, but would he REALLY be all, "NO, we're SHARING the bed!" Yeah, probably. But how did he end up without a shirt? Did he wake up, realize he was cuddling Raven to his chest, decide he was hot, take off his shirt, and THEN cuddle some MORE? Raven: WTH? Murtagh: Oh, sorry, didn't mean to. RIIIIIIIIGHT.
4. First kiss takes like 3 weeks? Moving a little fast, are we?
5. And they consummate their relationship, having only known each that long, and I know they haven't seen each other in two months, but wha????
6. And he buys her a RING!!! AND PROPOSES! Okay, I didn't live in the 1300's or whenever that took place (from what he describes it, that's what it sounds like, according to different sources), but I don't think that was the marriage custom.
7. Oh no, she gonna die! Raven gonna die! I wonder what will happen next...

Wow. What a rant.
I must remind myself I am a huge hypocrite all day, every day.
And can I really insult a fellow writer?
It seems really wrong to justify it, but when people are like, "OH, YOU'RE SO CRITICAL, YOU DON'T LIKE ANYTHING, JUST SHUT UP!" it's like, "Well, yeah, I'm picky, but I DO have high standards. I'm not taking a sucky movie and calling it 'good' just because it wasn't 'horrible'." Like "One Night With the King"? Sorry, but you cannot call that GOOD. Bad acting, horrible storyline, the backdrops were CG??? 'Okay', sure. 'Bad', heck yeah. 'Good'? Because it was better than OTHER bad films? NO.

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

So far I've only listened to part of "Take This To Your Grave" and "From Under the Cork Tree", but the latter is pretty much the best album I've ever heard. It just wasn't that fun listening to it with my mom and brother last night.
Because I don't pick up sexual references as fast as the next guy.
IS THAT SO WRONG?
But I haven't listened to the other two yet. I like singing the chorus of "Of All The Gin Joints In The World" too much. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh...I think that's enough oh's.
But the song titles were REALLY long and it was killing me to type them all. And then I didn't know the names of some of the others, so I'd have to START OVER.
I REALLY want a dog. I started reading "Marley and Me" again and it's so funny, but it's coming up to the part where he dies and I'm going to cry, so I'm putting off reading the end.
Finished "AngelMonster". Mary Shelley was an idiot. When she finally married Percy, he started cheating on her with her stepsister, just like he did to his now dead wife. And then her stepsister left to become a governess and he decides to die in a storm.
I totally don't feel sorry for her. She totally could've left him.
And she wasn't that pretty.
*waits for someone to lecture her on society's standards today and how everyone is beautiful, bla bla bla*
Ew, Percy Shelley was ugly. GROSS. I'm sure he was just a stud back then. *pukes*
I'M GOING TO WRITE AGAIN!
Only I've abandoned my book idea, keeping it possibly for future reference. A book's kind of out of my league again.
I'm thinking more Star Wars fanfic.
Lol.
Not even kidding.
But I'm putting off writing it because I don't want anyone to see it and I don't know quite how to start it.
But I say that every time I want to start something.
I'm just excited to start writing and not really care where it goes. Semi emo character. Yesh. Excited.
Wow, Lord Byron wasn't bad looking.
SO MUCH BETTER LOOKING THAN SHELLY! *cough cough*
I guess I'm kind of obsessed with that book.
Dododododo.
Do.
Dododo.

The only dry eye in the house

I guess romance movies just aren't my thing. I mean, I've only seen like 2. Maybe more, but I hate them. A lot.
Mr. Darcy just doesn't do anything for me.
I'm saying this because we watched "The Notebook" last night at like 12:00 A.M. That, besides "Pride and Prejudice" and "The Lake House", was the lamest romance I have ever seen.
Okay, it's about this woman with Alzheimer's who doesn't remember anybody, and this guy comes to the nursing home EVERYDAY to read a love story about two kids named Noah and Allie to her, and it turns out the ENTIRE movie is this GIANT flashback of the old guy and old chick, only the stupid lady doesn't remember it all, so she's like, "Gee, I wonder what the end is." I DIDN'T, however, because in the middle of the movie, the old guy's kids come and introduce themselves to the lady, and she's like, "Oh, nice to meet you," and when she's napping, they're all, "Dad, it's hopeless, Mom don't remember us, yo." I thought it was one of the dumbest scenes because it basically gave away the whole story and the whole ending.
OH, but the ending was SO PRICELESS. I swear, I was the ONLY PERSON not crying. I was actually on the verge of laughing because it was SO PREDICTABLE:
Noah (the old guy) finally gets Allie (the old chick) to remember, but then she reverts and has a panic attack, so he's all, "DANG IT!" and has a heart attack. When he comes back from the hospital, Allie remembers and asks him if their love can create miracles, and HE believes so, so they go to bed and in the morning they're both dead.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!
It was basically a huge waste of time.
But the sleepover was really fun last night, despite what I thought before. Only people kept spraying me with silly string and it got in my hair, then Nicole got Funny foam all over my shirt, and that stuff STAINS, so there's the off chance I'll never wear this shirt again.
I spent like half an hour working on lay ups. I love basketball now. I can't wait till next year. Hopefully I'll get first semester PE.
Coach Cline is in Mississippi right now. Maybe I'll buy her old school Stellar Kart when she gets back.
OH YEAH, at the awards ceremony, I GOT COACH'S AWARD! It came with a TROPHY! I seriously did not see it coming. It felt pretty cool.
Gross, I hate like 4 pieces of 4 layer chocolate cake last night.
And a lot of chips.
And a lot of MD.
And I only got like 2.5 hours of sleep before the parents so cruelly woke us up. It was torture. Then I walked home at like 6:15 A.M. when it was still kind of dark and it was raining and my sleeping bag had unrolled and I was SO tired. The 100 foot walk or so to my house took FOREVER. And I only knocked twice, but the door was locked and it was cold and I started crying, but then I got to go to bed and got 6 hours of sleep. Then I had a Hot Pocket and cake for brunch and played the dumb romance game (got some surprisingly good guys) and listened to the LOTR radio drama thing.
I love this game. What to do with $1000? On the off chance you might win a grand from, say, a sweepstakes in the near future, what would you be more inclined to do with it? Adopt a puppy from the animal shelter or throw a huge, catered party for your goldfish.
Definitely puppy.
Hahahaha, I am so addicted to Romance. It's probably the dumbest game this planet has ever seen, but it's so much more fun than reality. I mean, what guy in real life has a great family, knows everything about the history of the wheel, and has GREEN HAIR?
Yeah. NO ONE.

Phish Food

I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S I BOUGHT BEN AND JERRY'S!
What flavor?
PHISH FOOD! Chocolate ice cream with gooey marshmallow, carmel swirl, and fudge fish.
Their description, not mine.
MWAHAHA.
But I was in the car with my dad, after grocery shopping for two hours, and it was all melting, and fudge isn't the best thing to eat when you're driving in a car. Actually, I can't eat ANYTHING when I'm driving or on a boat or train or something. That's the only time I get car/seasick.
Dangit, I'm getting low grades in math and science. Some moron got my notebook wet, so ALL the stupid assignments got ruined, and I don't know if he graded them or not. I'm thinking not. And math because the stupid teacher is TOTALLY inflexible. She won't let you turn anything in late, even if you were absent, she makes you go to stupid math help and turn it in, then sit there for like 5 hours. hello. I have a life/basketball practice, besides, wouldn't it be EASIER for me just to GIVE it to you then to make me go to your stupid after school class when i don't need HELP? Actually, sometimes I do, but not if I FINISHED the assignment. Even if I did need help, you wouldn't GIVE it to me, that's why I don't ask any questions in math.
I hate her.
I really want a new CD.
Was playing Evanescence on my trombone. "Hello" is a hard song to play. Couldn't play anything good like "Dance, Dance" or "Girl of the Year" because they're not on my cpu and I didn't want to recharge my ipod because whenever I put my ipod on random, I get all anal and have to finish EVERY SONG before I recharge it. Which is hard, because there are 281 songs on it, and I don't even have all my music on there.
I owe $6 at the library. -_-
GASP maybe the library has more PHANTOM STALLION!!!! Haven't read one of those in the library. I'm restarting "Jedi Apprentice". I'm such a nerd. LAME, I asked them to order Winnie the Horse Gentler because I was like, "Wth, I need a new series," and I've only ever read the 1st one???? But they only ordered the first 3, skipped 4 and 5, and then ordered 6 and 7. WHY CAN'T YOU ORDER THE WHOLE SERIES LIKE A NORMAL FREAK?
I need to reread...
LOTR.
Harry Potter.
Jedi Apprentice.
And all the Star Wars movie novels. Even though I've only read one. Two. No, three.
But not that stupid one "Revenge of the Sith" by that idiot who kept being all, "This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker. Lalalala I'm ugly, I feel like cutting myself, NO PADME! And the world turned black..." It wasn't even funny dumb, just REALLY sucky writing.
I remember reading it last summer, and Marcia was all, "THAT GIRL IS A WRITER!" and I felt bad since I haven't written anything, not even a short story, in like 3 years???? I suck.
My family is in the Dark Ages technology wise.
Yes, we have a new cpu. And a TV. And cellphones.
But cable would be nice.
DOWN WITH DIAL UP!
BURN DOWN THE BARBER SHOPS!
NO MORE MEATSHAKE!
