Awww, it's freakish.
I'm laidback, but uptight?
Tyler ate glue the other day.
He took a huge bite of an almond-scented Elmer's stick.
And nearly threw up.
Sometimes I wonder about him...
We listened to random screamo and metal bands today.
Like THE CLASSIC CRIME.
Which is really funny for some strange reason.
I sort of spaced out all week and haven't been paying attention in most of my classes.
Which could be a bad thing.
But I finished "Brideshead Revisited" just the other day, and it was so worth it.
And all of Evelyn Waugh's other novels have received high praise, so this might be the summer of classic literature.
Followed by the annual Harry Potter binge.
Evelyn Waugh was a Catholic. Huh. Charles Ryder displayed such a convincing disdain for it.
Charles and Sebastian were gay together, that's for darn sure.
Anthony Blance was hilarious. "Don't be a tease, Toni, buy me a drink."
He would just randomly pop up with his boyfriend of the moment, analyze people, and disappear again.
Aloysius. "He was portrayed by a teddy bear named Delicatessen."
Once the TV series came out, it was suddenly cool to carry teddy bears around again.
I love Lady Gaga. She'll just do something ridiculous, but stand by it.
"Yeah. I carry around a giant teacup. What are you doing to do about it?"

STRENGTHS FINDER!! FIND YOUR STRENGTHS!
My mom bought "Strengths Finder 2.0" and I just took the test.
My top 5 strengths are:
1. Adaptability
2. Empathy
3. Intellection
4. Connectedness
5. Developer
I was sort of skeptical of the first one, but it actually seems to fit.
Connectedness and Developer...not so much.
Some of the descriptions fit, but they make me sound like Locke on "Lost".
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!!!!
And Developers sound like coaches. Like Mr. Freeman. Like Coach Allen.
But everything is scarily accurate.
Some of the phrases jumped out at me, and I was like, "THAT'S ME!"
Sort of like that ice-breaker game they have you play at camp.
Stuff has been happening.
Yes. Stuff. Nothing important, hence the informative noun and lack of adjectives.
Chris read the poem from "10 Things I Hate About You" a few days ago for his poetry presentation. It was genius. I did Classic Crime's "Headlights" and it didn't go over so well, so I was jealous.
Janessa's a big sister...four months early. But the baby's doing okay.
Charlie, Jake, and I were in the back seat of Toni's car, and Jake kept flashing me and Charlie was going to scream.
>:( They won't let me play with them anymore.
I'm sort of pumped for the team meeting this Sunday. Kristine and I are going to hang out beforehand, and it's fun having my closest friends there when we talk about VBS. None of them are in my group, but the people in my group are pretty cool and we get along all right...so far, anyway. And there are other people that are actually really awesome that I wish I'd hung out with before, so I'm excited to get to know them.
How very Pollyanna.
She got to eat a 6-layer cake.
Whenever I think of that movie, I think of the cakes.
And nothing else.
Mr. Basaillon shaved!!!!
He looks completely different. Before he looked like a "Brian" and now he looks like a "Brandon".
And the name "Keith" reminds me of omelettes.
But it reminds Q of zebras.
And Darle thinks we're both insane.
All the Blogthings I've missed!!! Raaaaah!
The Apostle Paul was an INTJ.
And Peter was either an ENFP or and ENFJ.
And they hated each other.
It's fun reading the letters Paul wrote...
...until he gets all logical and is like, "You were dead to the law, THEREFORE..."
It's like, "That's nice, Paul. But get back to the important stuff."
And then he gets all huffy and I have to hang out with Peter for a little while.

Christmas: Only marred by Classic Crime and snowplows
All in all, a very good Christmas.
Except for arriving home and finding the snow plows had FINALLY cleared the snow off our streets.
And then pushed it all in front of our driveway.
No joke.
Every other driveway in the cul-de-sac was clear...except for ours.
Right. Thanks, guys. Merry Christmas!
Morons.
Maybe it was someone we know...but who did we tick off?
Boycott love...detox just to retox.
Heheh, I actually got stuff I wanted, and some surprises that were welcomed.
"ACROSS THE UNIVERSE" SOUNDTRACK!!
I hate the Beatles...but I love their music.
Does that make sense?
Ugh, Classic Crime.
The Silver Cord sucks. Albatross was pretty cool, not exactly new or hardhitting, but a nice semi-indie band with a great frontman. And hey, they were from Seattle! Kudos!
And then people (possibly over-excited Christian music fans who would gobble up anything with clean lyrics and possible Christian members, and/or Tooth and Nail execs) started telling this band how much they loved them, how cool they were, and how "edgy" and "hardcore" their music was.
And then the Classic Crime took all these comments super seriously and spent a couple years writing songs for their new album.
And these songs seem like the writers were trying REALLY hard to be "edgy", "hardcore", and "obscure".
Sadly, ALL THE SONGS SOUND THE SAME!!
Fall Out Boy's new album was a little weird at first listening, but at least every track had something different.
Listening to "The Silver Cord" was like slogging through an hour's worth of pain, misery, and angst.
The only exception was "5805", which was quirky and pretty unique, up until the chorus.
The melody of "5805" and "Salt in the Snow" are identical.
I no longer support you, Matt McDonald.

Wouldn't you like to know?
Sean Kingston. Stuck in my head.
Who knew scoop neck T-shirts were so hard to wear?
I obviously didn't.
Rather than feeling cute and trendy, I feel naked and slutty.
And it's plum, which doesn't look that great on me.
I'm really thinking about destroying my Madison Finn Sims (that was never going to go anywhere) and creating Rent Sims.
Because I can.
And I really want to make a weak-chinned Roger.
I've decided to buy "The Silver Cord" this month with my meager funds because I listened to it online and it sounds pretty cool, and so far it has very positive reviews.
Lol, I spent at least 4 hours reading stuff on Cracked.com and the articles on superheroes cracked me up.
Tie slept with me for about an hour this morning, barked at every little noise coming from outside, and was very annoyed when I decided to get dressed rather than immediately take her on a walk.
In other words, she's back to normal.

What if the "average" Christian, conservative family was a rarity?
It seems like white Christian conservative families aren't the norm, though people sometimes make it seem like it is. Or maybe they don't. It's very possible I don't know what I'm talking about.
I still think they should add more races to the standardized test, though.
Ha, my family fits that stereotype.
Which is scarier, driving places with your mom, or driving around a miniscule town with your driving instructor?
Surprisingly, driving with Ed scares the living daylights out of me. I always make stupid mistakes when I'm driving with him. And he wonders why I'm nervous.
But I drove to and from Driver's Ed last night. It was only sort of scary. Some chick kept tailgating me, though, over speed bumps.
And then I drove too slow up a hill and there was a LONG line of cars behind me.
But it was fun, so that's cool.
Next stop: Wal-mart!
I can't decide whether I want to buy the Rent (movie) soundtrack or the new Classic Crime album.
I can get The Silver Cord off iTunes for $10, and the Rent soundtrack is $17 or so, but I really want to put all the Rent stuff on my ipod and listen to it nonstop. Plus, I haven't listened to The Silver Cord yet and I know what I'm getting if I buy the Rent soundtrack.
Decisions, decisions.
Perceivers suck.

We can sleep as late as we want to
Aaaah, I'd almost forgotten "High School Musical 2", but it's one of the best summer soundtracks EVER. I'm getting a little tired of the movie after watching it so many times, though.
Okay, even though I didn't like "Camp Rock" so much, I sort of want to buy the soundtrack, but so does my dad, sooooo.... $10, maybe he'll want to buy it.
The song "Viva la Vida" has been stuck in my head a lot.
MUST BUY IT.
And I still have 15 bucks!!
Cleaning out itunes...again.
Daaang, where is The Classic Crime's new album already? Holy crap.
Awww, doesn't come out till July.
"Gravedigging"? "Abracadavers"? Lol. "God and Drugs"?
Wth???? Is Matt McDonald clinically depressed?
And they used to be classified as Indie Rock and Alternative Rock, but now their NEWER material is Emo and Post Hardcore...whatever that means.
They're having youth band tryouts on Tuesday, and my brother REALLY wants to try out on guitar, and my parents want me to try out on bass, but why bother?
They SAY they need a bunch of people because their seniors are leaving, but I'm thinking it's just to please the youth pastor.
Ooh, Pastor Mike said if I ever want to play on worship team, I should start with youth band.
Harsh.
