James Patterson kind of disgusts me.
He thinks he's a much better writer than he really is.
"Maximum Ride" makes me too angry.
I somehow used to love it.
I somehow used to love a lot of things, though, so this isn't that surprising.
Ugh. He's so smug.
Max irritates the crap out of me.
And I'm tired of the whole "save the planet" theme.
Max is pulling a Bella Swan, too, which is always fun.
"I love Fang...wait, no I don't! Let's make out, Fang...no wait, I changed my mind! I hate you...but I hate your redheaded girlfriend more!"
Fun stuff. I'm trying to get through "Max" as quickly as possible.
"House of Leaves" is giving me the creeps - and I'm barely 30 pages in!!
I literally stared at my closet last night for hours, just in case something in there was waiting for me.
Then I fell asleep and had weird dreams.
Like this one: my high school decided to put on "Les Miserables" and I had the part of Valjean, but didn't know any of my lines.
So I just improvised the entire time.
I walked into a spider's web today. Grossest feeling ever.
I sort of miss being tall and lanky.
Yep, still "tall".
Lanky, tho, not so much.

It's Easter day, let's clap our hands, clap our hands, clap our hands.

Lachlan was singing, so I had to write it down.
"The Final Warning" was VERY disappointing.
Don't get me wrong, Max is as charming and clever as ever, but it got really preachy about global warning, and I got really tired of the whole, "I'm 14 and have faced tougher life challenges than you," thing, and to listen to her complain about not having a stable family wasn't fun, either.
Then the flock members started getting new powers galore!!! Iggy can see and tell colors (even though he's blind!!)!! Nudge can call metal objects to her!! Angel can be adorable at will! Fang can blend in with his surroundings!! And the Gasman can make mega farts!!!
Surprisingly, Max has no new powers.
I don't know, it seems kind of Mary Sue-ish. Something that Christopher Paolini would try to pull off, not James Patterson.
But I've been wrong before.
And I thought there would be resolution, loose ends would be tied, Fang and Max would quit being morons and act like they like each other.
Also, since the Voice turns out NOT to be Jeb (whaaaat? Way to change your mind, James), Total gets REALLY annoying, and the Faxness goes nowhere.
They kiss ONCE. And Max is like, "I like it...NOT!" She runs away and they never speak again.
Then Fang starts hanging out with Brigid, a 21-YEAR-OLD SCIENTIST. 21!!! AND SHE'S HITTING ON HIM!!! THAT IS SO ILLEGAL!!!! Of course, Max is jealous, and starts writing POETRY.
Poetry. *shakes head*
Fang keeps up his lame blog. I'm sorry, but I've never liked it. He even admits to being an emo. The whole dark and brooding thing? Yeah, not so attractive anymore.
And there's going to be a sequel. The ending just SCREAMED for one. Darn. I guess that's cool, but if the next one gets preachy about gun control and the right to choose, I might just self mutilate.

I think Caedmon's Call's "40 Acres" is the best album I own right now. I've been listening to it a lot lately, and my dad really likes it. "Somewhere North", "Faith My Eyes", and "Daring Daylight Escape" are my favorite songs. Ironically, they're all sung by Derek Webb. I think I like his voice better, and he's a good guitar player, but there's something about Cliff Young's voice that's really soothing and folksy. Most of Cliff's songs get on my nerves, though, "Petrified Heart" especially. I hate that Danielle girl. Her voice is go grating and I hate the song "Shifting Sands". I have another Caedmon's Call album from like 2003 something, and I think it's one without Derek Webb, but I've never listened to it, so I think I might. Dude, I'm totally going out and buying all of their albums now, especially "Overdressed".

Yeah, I sort of got sick and stayed home this morning, where I read the remaining 275 pages of "The Book Thief". It was so good. I knew what was going to happen, as the NARRATOR KEPT GIVING IT AWAY, but it was to be expected (hello, Holocaust) and it felt right. So sad, though.
Contest tomorrow. Then on a bus to Oakland Bay. Then rushing back home to band practice at church. Yeah, haven't practiced my music AT ALL since last week. And Good Friday is IN TWO DAYS!!!
And Easter is in 4 days!!! I'm happy about the resurrection of Christ, but also about the chocolate bunnies.
OMG, a film adaptation of "The Book Thief" is being optioned!!! I hope it's good. I want lazy people who don't want to read the book to see it and be able to relate to the characters through film. Although, if it sucks as much as the film version of "A Chorus Line", I might just kill myself.
Hey, the fourth Maximum Ride came out recently! I have no money. Time to pay a visit to the library.

Democracy is a good idea (and good entertainment!)

OMG!!!! I SAW "27 DRESSES"! I READ "PRINCESS MIA"! I FINISHED "MAXIMUM RIDE: SAVING THE WORLD AND OTHER EXTREME SPORTS"!!!!! In other words, a good Saturday.
So "27 Dresses" was pretty good, but sort of really depressing. James Marsden is growing on me, but I've seen at least 6 of his movies in the past 6 months. I really like Katherine Heigl. "Don't you have needs?" "Nope. I'm Jesus." EW, the boss guy was SOOOO creepy and the little sister was such a slut. And she treated Jane like crap the entire movie, and she never really owned up to it. "You ruined my wedding!" "You based your entire relationship on lies!" "...but you ruined my wedding! Because you're jealous of me!" My favorite part in the whole movie was when Jane tells her best friend Casey and Casey screams, "That selfish whore!!" during yoga. I don't know what Jane's problem was; I liked some of the dresses, especially the one from that "goth" girl's wedding. White wedding dresses suck.
I love Maximum Ride!!! It was sort of confusing, but shocking and amazing and Max is Mexican?? That's cool. Wings? Mega boys? Ari becomes a good guy and wears plaid? So cute, I love Ari. I would so make out with Fang in a cave. I'm going to check out his "blog". No ways, it's real! Awesome. I sort of really hate Total. Fang and Max = sooo cute.

OMG, "PRINCESS MIA" IS THE BEST PRINCESS DIARIES EVER!!!
I THINK MY JP THEORY IS RIGHT!!! w00t!!! I underestimated Meg Cabot. So Mia spends like 50 pages brooding over Michael (loser), but it gets better. And there's actually a plot. I like Mia's therapist. Lilly is such a *see above on 27 dresses*. J.P. is pretty much the most amazing boy in the world. Mia's sort of clueless. Okay, really clueless. And Kenny blows up the school. Ha. Not even lying.
JP: ...there's something I've been meaning to tell you for a long time now, and every time I start to, something seems to happen to interrupt me, so I'm just going to say it now, even though this might not be the ideal moment. And I know you're going to freak out now, because that's what you do. So put down your pen and take a deep breath. Mia, I'm in love with you. I know up until now we've been just friends - good friends - but I want more than that. And I think you do, too.
Awww. I almost started crying, no lies. This was worse than that one episode of "Ugly Betty" where Gio hugs Betty and he looks so happy, but she doesn't even notice!!!, because Mia's just like, "Crap, Kenny blew up the building! Gotta go, J.P.!" She kisses him at the end. Awwww. For once in my life, I don't know what's going to happen. I bet it's going to be a showdown between Michael and JP. I don't know about you, but I'm voting JP.
I hadn't realized he doesn't normally wear jeans. I always pictured him wearing jeans. Just saying.
