Tie

Okay, I love Tie to death, but I could come up with a surprising amount of things about her that bug me. I guess that's true of everyone, I guess, but Tie is the one I'm compiling a list of Pet Peeves about.
Top 20 Pet Peeves About Tie
1. She has a loud, high-pitched bark.
2. She barks often.
3. She barks at all my friends and their dogs.
4. She barks at strangers.
5. She barks in the middle of the night. It's often Nathan's fault.
6. She loves going on walks, but even after all these walks, she's NEVER tired out.
7. She likes to RUN during these walks. Even if it's 90 degrees outside. And you're in flip-flops. She made me run through a field today. I got dew on my flip-flops and kept sliding around in them.
8. After these walk/runs, she's ready for a rousing game of "tug-of-war" with her "rope".
9. She always wants to bite the HANDLE of the rope, which was made to make tug-of-war easier for the owner. But nooooo.
10. She bites your fingers during tug-of-war.
11. My slippers are fuzzy, therefore they are fair game.
12. If you spend a minute on the computer, she will come downstairs and lie by the wheels of your rolly chair, putting her in potential danger if you decide to move.
13. She hates baths. If you give her a bath, she won't look at you for hours.
14. Right after a bath, she goes out and rolls in the dirt.
15. And that's when she decides to go sit on your lap.
16. She sits at the table and naps on the bed like a "people".
17. She never backs down from a fight. I often have to carry her away from other dogs. Like the fat little sausage dachsund we saw today.
18. She's PUSHY! She nevers ASKS to sit on your lap anymore; she just does. And then today, when Dad wanted me to take her on a walk, she brought my flip flops downstairs and stared at me while I played "Avatar Prom". Then she repeatedly opened my door while I was CHANGING MY CLOTHES to make sure I was ACTUALLY changing clothes and not, you know, sleeping.
19. She's scared of the saxophone. Probably because Dad chased her around while playing a REALLY high note yesterday. Things like that could scar a dog for life. But still. Now she barks at it, runs away in terror when Dad starts to play, and has to sniff it every time she goes downstairs to make sure it is, indeed, "dead".
20. She's a Patterdale Terrier, so when people ask me what kind of dog she is, I say, "Patterdale Terrier," and they have NO idea what I'm talking about. So I just say, "Terrier," but THAT doesn't help because then they either don't believe me or ask what KIND of terrier. And THEN they ask where I got her and I have to admit I found her on the internet. Even though it wasn't me. It was my mom.

I now know why my parents hate me.

Ew. Ew. Ew. Never watching "Quest For Camelot" EVER again.
Because Cary Elwes is the voice of Garrett. I knew his voice really bothered me for some reason, but I didn't know why.
Okay, when you look on the back of the movie, it doesn't look like there's anyone famous enough to have their name put on the back, but hello? Pierce Brosnan, Cary Elwes (ewwww), Celine Dion, Gary Oldman, Don Rickles, and Eric Idle provide the voice talents for this movie. Wows.
"The King and I" was even worse. I guess the filmmakers decided if they smushed 2 hours of plot, a few of the award-winning songs, and tons of "hilarious" slapstick humor into 90 minutes of cartoon, it would be great AND kid-friendly.
Not so much.
The songs were great...except Anna Leonowens had the MOST ANNOYING singing voice ever. Too breathy, and she sounded like the mom from "The Swan Princess".
Aaagh, just too awful. It was pretty racist, too. Master Little? Painful. And they gathered elements from ALL Asian cultures and tried to pass it off as Siamese.
The worst part? They didn't even use the theme from the original "The King and I".
However, Tuptim and Chululongkorn sang "I Have Dreamed", my absolute FAVORITE song from the original film (even though it technically wasn't in the original one).
Oh yeah, the delectably shirtless Lun Tha was missing, replaced by a grown-up Chululongkorn. Lol. And Tuptim was a flower arranger instead of a concubine, because concubines are not family appropriate. And, you know, it would be really awkward if the Crown Prince wanted to get with the girl his dad has been sleeping with.
Aaagh, Louis kept forgetting to put on his British accent. Kralahome = so evil. But he didn't even wear a skirt!
ROFL, there's a board on IMDB for "The King and I" entitled: I was on the staff of this movie and even I hate it.
So I'm watching it again this afternoon.
AAAAAAAH I FOUND A DRESS FOR FRESHMAN!!!!
It's a black halter with pinkish polka dots and netting under the skirt. I also got Vans that look like slippers to go with it.
So pumped.

Red velvet...it's like eating an ugly but delicious-tasting kitten.

I just started "White Fang" and am more than halfway through already. White Fang is sort of messed up. I know he's quite wolfish (at least a quarter wolf blood), but all he does is kill things and hate people. He ate a kitten once. It sounded kind of gross and sad, because I love kittens and I could hear it purring, but kind of good at the same time, seeing as I am attracted to all things meat.
Connor stepped on my shoes and I was like, "Rawr!"
Connor, Kevin, and I are going to play "Winnie the Pooh" together. Yeah.
I made hot dogs for aliens and New Yorkers yesterday.
Online, of course.
I hate Mondays.
"Animal Farm" is great. Too bad I've already read it.

I can feel you all around me

I heard that song on the radio the other day, and I sort of liked it, but for the most part it way got on my nerves.
Yay, wearing new jeans as well as shoes. You have no idea how GOOD it feels to be able to slip off my shoes whenever, instead of wearing stupid Converse that take forever to lace up. They're really comfortable, too. If I'd known that, I would've bought a pair a LONG time ago, instead of writing them off as "emo shoes" while I was secretly obsessed with them.
Mr. Henrichsen was at school today. He's not bad as a teacher, but I miss Mr. Campbell. I understood the text, though, which is new. I guess taking notes does help? I understood math, too. This is definitely a bad omen, but it was pretty fun. We had to figure out how some teacher in Alaska could do math tricks. Pretty shweet.
Pre-AP was pretty cool, because we didn't have to do any work, but we had to listen to a guest speaker, which was pretty unbearable. :P He was very confusing and I couldn't really see any point in his coming. First he was telling us that you need to stick with school, then he told us that school doesn't matter because you need to work hard, and working hard you can do anything, but THEN he said none of that mattered cuz life sucks. Um, WHAT???
They made Thursdays 5 minutes longer. That doesn't seem like a long time, but those were some pretty agonizing 5 minutes. I was all done with my science notes at 12:30, but thanks to the extra 5 minutes, I had to take even more. Curse you.
So science AND math homework, but it's easy, and someone found "Congo" for me. How nice. I'd been wanting to read it over break, but I guess I left it at school. All right then. I'm still on page 79, lol.

Vans reminiscent of Oggy

EEEE I HAVE NEW SHOES!!! How positively girly of me to say. Whatever. I love them. They're my first pair of Vans: black with pink puppies. And I bought some jeans, so now I actually have stuff to wear. I don't care if it's stereotypical of women or demeaning to our gender, but I love shopping. It's therapuetic. We also bought stuff for my dad. I picked out a shirt AND tie for him, but I really don't think he liked it. Oh well.
Yeah. That's basically all I did today, besides read "The Magician's Nephew" and ravage a package of White Rabbits. I can't wait to wear my new shoes. And jeans. But there was this amazing belt I saw and now I can't find it. It's the phantom belt. I saw that one girl eyeing it enviously as I admired it the last time I was in there. I bet she took it.
Sims 2 Stuff Pack: Teen Style? Looks amazing. I haven't actually created a teen character yet. Or an elder. I'll add one to my brand new neighborhood. I think I'll create a Harry Potter family, but I'm torn: create him as a teen, or create him married to Ginny already with a family? Time will tell, I guess....
