Hey Jude

We're playing a Beatles piece in band!
And we'll be playing it at California!
It's SWEET! "Hard Day's Night", "Michelle", "Yesterday", "I Want To Hold Your Hand", and "Hey Jude".
Trombones get melody quite a bit.
:O
Why are Alvin and the Chipmunks on itunes?
Not iTunes in general...
...MY iTunes!
Dad....
Oh, Randy Travis. Your deep baritone makes me smile.
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet, jingle around the clooooock...
He's only 5'8"!
I'm taller than Randy Travis!
I'm making a birthday mix for Jessica, even though her birthday was weeks ago.
So pack up, go home, you're through.
How could I make a man out of you????
You must be swift as the coursing river, with all the force of the great typhoon, with all the strength of a raging fire, mysterious as the dark side of THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Who doesn't love that song?

Post 900!!! That's 3^2*100!!

Wow, 900 posts in the last 2.75 years (about that long, anyway). Is that a lot? I wonder.
I made a "Boys kind of suck" playlist because I got bored and I'd just added a bunch of classic rock to my ipod.
Surprisingly, there's a lot of appropriate FOB songs.
Maybe that tells me I shouldn't listen to them?
"Penelope" was really cute. It was kind of like a Tim Burton film, only Johnny Depp was no where to be found.
Christina Ricci actually looks better with the pig nose.
Which is kind of mean to say.
Her face is so unique, though.
I like how Gerard Way put it.
"Christina Ricci looks like an alien. I think she's beautiful."
And she is. But that pig nose was just so cute.
James McAvoy is so beautiful.
And the American accent?
I'm in love.
But it's annoying when you really like someone and people scoff at you...
...but that person becomes famous and they're suddenly that person's biggest fans.
Which is pretty much what the song "Sk8r Boi" was all about.
Who knew Avril could be so eloquent?
But it's not as though James McAvoy wasn't famous before "The Chronicles of Narnia".
I just remember thinking in 7th grade right after I saw "TCON" that Tumnus (James McAvoy) was incredibly hot, and everyone else laughed at me?
And now they agree.
Especially with his lovely new American accent.
Yeah, whatever.

Compiling the perfect summer playlist

Not that my music collection is all that extensive.
But it's pretty fun with the songs/artists I DO have.
I'm trying to decide whether or not I should add Hannah Montana, but none of her songs really work.
Ugh, I just added some Rocket Summer. GROSS.
17 songs so far.
Aww, I'm doing this thing with my itunes where I listen to all the songs in order of when they were last played, so I don't want to mess it up and listen to this playlist.
Phooey.
Because you know how I am about my ipod.
I'll try to avoid Atreyu and "The King and I" soundtrack.
Beatles...yay or nay??
I want some of their good stuff. Not that "Magical Mystery Tour" wasn't smashing or anything. But...it seems I'm more of a "Across the Universe" Beatles fan.
I heard "Come Together" on the radio the other day and was like, "OMG, BEATLES!"

You Are Pretty Charming

While you're not a natural charmer, you can be charming when you want to be.

And lucky for those around you, you usually feel like turning on the charm.

You project a happy, calm image - even when you're feeling the exact opposite.

You make people feel great about being around you... though you're not always up for putting in the effort.

Blogthings has been posting a lot more regularly now, and that's pretty great.
Even if the quizzes aren't that accurate.
Lol, should I add "Roxanne" by the police??
Yesterday, the sermon was about Rahab the prostitute (in Sunday school, not in regular church. That wouldn't have gone over well.), so William and I were singing "Roxanne", and the new version "Rahab".
Rahab...you don't have to put out that red cord.
Agh, so my playlist finally has 35 SONGS.
Now I need to do some cleaning.
Hey, I only used 3 FOB songs. Trust me, that's, like, impossible for me.
Just deleted "My Boyfriend's Back".
Aw, I wish.

You Are Break Dancing

You are a rebel and a rule breaker.

You are uniquely you, and you expressing your individuality.

And while you're different and a bit weird, you're no slacker.

You're extremely hard working. Having unusual talents is not as easy as it looks!

Okay, deleting more oldies.
Should I delete the song about the suave boy from NYC or the couple getting it on under the boardwalk??
Ugh, "Let's Twist Again" by Chubby Checker fits the mood, but it's SOOO cliche`. (How come I can never find those stupid punctuations?? Stupid French.)
And, to tell the truth, "Wild One" by Bobby Rydell is the coolest song ever.
Okay. Bye bye, Chubby Checker.
I'm keeping the song about the boardwalk tryst. Because they talk about sun and hot dogs...among other things.
Of my three Disney songs, only "All Star" remains.
Down to 30 now.
Three FOB songs: "Of All the Gin Joints in the World", "Thriller", and "Chicago is So Two Years Ago".
Hmmmmm...bad breakup song...gone.
Two songs by the same name...but one sucks.
Ha ha, hasta la vista, McFly.
Took off some not strictly summer songs. 26 now.
Tie is being pouty. She wants to be held and played with at the same time, which is virtually impossible, as she jumps around when she plays.
I'm trying to get down to 18 or 20. Which should GO??
Two "High School Musical 2" songs. "What Time Is It" is sort of an opening opener, but I don't know.
Forget Zac Efron. Ashley Tisdale stays.
HALLELUJAH! 19 songs, and I didn't use anything by Atreyu or FM Static.
Now for the order.
I love these shorts. For realz.
Okay, finished it. There's sort of a story. A weird, nonsensical nonlinear story.
1. "Friday Night", Slick Shoes
2. "We've Only Just Begun", Run Kid Run
3. "Luckie St.", Cartel
4. "Great Escape", Boys Like Girls
5. "Bring 'Em Out", Hawk Nelson
6. "Of All the Gin Joints in the World", Fall Out Boy
7. "Another Girl, Another Planet", Blink-182
8. "Wild One", Bobby Rydell
9. "All Star", Smash Mouth
10. "Girlfriend", Avril Lavigne
11. "Cupid's Chokehold / Breakfast in America (Featuring Patrick Stump)", Gym Class Heroes
12. "Cadillac Phunque", Family Force 5
13. "Saturday", Olivia the Band
14. "Saturday in the Park", Chicago
15. "Fabulous", Ashley Tisdale
16. "Rio de Janeiro", Ugly Duckling
17. "Walking on Sunshine", Jump5 (oh yes, I went there)
18. "Accidentally In Love", Counting Crows
19. "Under the Boardwalk", The Drifters
All done!! Now off to other things...like...sleeping.
Good books: "Born Too Short: The Confessions of an Eighth-Grade Basket Case" by Dan Elish and "I Can't Tell You" by Hilary Frank.
"I Can't Tell You" was good, but sad. Like, not TRAGIC sad, just..."I wish it were a happier ending." :( But it was semi-hopeful. Just a little offsetting and depressing.
"Born Too Short" was cute and funny, though. Very well-written.
Anything by Daniel Ehrenraft is good, too.

Ruffle my hair, Mr. Hanks!

What are some movies that you HAVE to cry during, otherwise you're a horrible person? I could only think of two: "Forrest Gump" and Bruce Willis' "The Kid". But that's just me. Just wondering, because Forrest Gump was on A&E last night, so we watched the last hour and a half. "I miss you, Jenny." Soo sad. Haley Joel Osment wears adorable pants in that movie.
Hurray for online shopping!!!
Harry Potter Sims 2 neighborhood. Tempting, tempting. Don't give in.
"Good Eats" lied. After trying their recipe for puffy cookies, the mounds of dough taste like crap and smell like shortening. Curse you, shortening.
Will you stay here for a while, so I can watch you when you smiiile, I like to think so.
Well, I hope I don't drive you insane, with my big right foot and my unkempt mane. Well, I know you love me the way I am, but I'll change my ways if I think I can.
Hahaha, they sang "Girlfriend" for Marisa Jaret Winokur's jive on "Dancing With the Stars" last night. They changed the lyrics to "everloving princess". You know, rather than "mother-effing princess". Too funny.
I like it better when Avril Lavigne pauses meaningfully, however. "I'm the...princess!!"
You're looking kind of anxious with your back up against the wall, don't this kind of music make you want to move at all?
Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna, gonna do?
WOO!!! Madison Finn #11: Heart to Heart for $.01 + $3.99 shipping!!!
I don't know, say what?

True love experienced in the golden forest heals everything.

Aaah, the joy of retold fairy tales.
"Our parents have died of smallpox! What shall we do?"
"Come live in our manor!"
"Your mother says this boquet will never die, like my love for you."
AAAAGH, SO CORNY!!!
"Snow" was so much better.
Time to put a hold on other retellings. Hopefully there will be ones as good as "Beastly", "Snow", and "The Rose and the Beast".
"Wasteland", by Francesca Lia Block, is really sad. I don't want to give away the ending, but I don't know, is it still incest?
Mwahaha, I have a playlist called "Underrated Love songs". Trying to put it in exactly the right order.
Lol, I'm posting the first Pony Pals book in a month and a half. Yeah, I've been sort of...preoccupied.
Every time think I see you, I won't forget that nobody else could ever do what you did to me on that night I saw you there, so unexpected. I could care less who else was there, I've been infected, so infected by you.
Another cheesy song with Trevor's horrible phrasing.

Ag = 10 m/s^2

Made two new playlists today.
Lol. It was funny. Tim, Dylan, and Sam came over and we ate Oreos and played chess. Then Tim asked Nathan if he wanted to see his nipple and Nathan got mad, so they left. And Tim kept eating the frosting off my Oreos and giving me the cookies. :P
I have to hand it to stupid old "Brio" magazine. They were right about one thing. Granted, they presented in such a way that I became quite fed up with them, and they said the same thing over and over again, but they were at least semi-right. I will never again enjoy their magazine, or turn eagerly to Bob Smithouser's column, but they had a point. Now if only they would stop telling me to hold onto my virginity. Um, yeah, what's the likelihood that I'm EVER going to lose it, and it's not like I would willingly give it away if I had the chance. It might be effective once, but EVERY MONTH is ridiculous.
Just saying.
Tired of going up and down the stupid emotional roller coaster, that's all. I miss first grade. Can't wait for 15.
I destroyed my "Best and Worst of Relationships" playlist and split it into two; "Sappy Love Songs" and "Breakup Songs". Because that is what I do best. I'm listening to my Breakup one now and it's pretty sweet, but I might need to work on the order in the beginning. But it has (chronological order):
"Going Under" (Evanescence), "Gotta Go My Own Way" (Vanessa Anne Hudgens), "Call Me When You're Sober" (Evanescence), "3 Small Words" (Josie and the Pussycats), "X-Girlfriend" (Family Force 5), "If I Fail" (Cartel), "Someone Else Before" (Hawk Nelson), "It's Over" (Hawk Nelson), "Broken Heart" (Falling Up), "Bowling Ball", "I Miss You" (Blink-182), "Scars Remain" (Disciple), "When There Was Me and You" (Vanessa Anne Hudgens), "So Sick" (Patrick Stump), "Gone" (Tobymac), "D*** Regret" (Red Jumpsuit Apparatus), "The Take Over, the Break's Over" (Fall Out Boy), "All the Memories" (Classic Crime)
I know you probably didn't want to know, but that just felt very fulfilling. And I know "The Take Over..." isn't technically a break up song, but it's about a divorced couple still "getting together" every now and then. That's pretty depressing either way. Also, I REALLY love that song. The Love songs playlist is pretty sweet, too. It took me forever to think up the order, but there's like 30 songs and I'd like to save it for another time.
Hein cut his hair?? Actually, he cut it on Monday, but I failed to mention that. Still. Sounds creepy and stalker, but I miss his bangs.
I LOVE BAND!! I do NOT love going straight from jazz band to Wind Ensemble and getting really chopped, but band in general is pretty great. I have this SWEEEEET solo in "Jumping on the Woodside" and it's SO AWESOME. Stupid "Hallelujah" is really hard. I have to work for those A flats.
OMG science was so cool. We were reviewing friction and acceleration and velocity and what not (AGAIN), but no one really understood why acceleration of gravity was the same for objects of any mass, and Mr. Campbell was explaining it in smart scientificy language, which threw everyone off, so I asked if I could explain it to everyone, and he did. So I went to the front of the class and explained that force and weight were the same and force was always 10 times the mass, so when divided by mass, the answer was always 10. Then as I was going back to my seat everyone was all clapping and yelling, "El presidente." I will not lie, it was PRETTY cool.
So I had to meet with Mr. Fox, but it was pretty nice because I told him I didn't want to talk, and he's like, "Oh well, you don't have to." So we talked about drugs and wisdom teeth and Thanksgiving. And it turns out Mrs. Sims didn't even talk to him about me getting help, he just got freaked when he saw me crying and wanted to know if everything was all right. Which made me really love school.
Yeah, talk about mood swings. Although I think life is going to become more simple in the coming weeks. Don't ask why. Because I don't actually know. But it has something to do with my favorite holiday AND my birthday (which is actually very far away) being kind of sort of a little bit closer than yesterday. :)
